While having a great premise, awesome music and quite good puzzles, there's simply way too much downtime in The Sexy Brutale. Moments when you can put your controller aside and do other stuff, while waiting for the hours to pass. A shame, since it's actually a really, really cool game.

Carving up an indefinite amount of faux-Soviet robot soldiers isn't the worst way to spend a couple of hours, but Strider won't go down in the annals of history is a modern day action classic.

Cronos: The New Dawn is a fantastic experiencethat's perfect for dark evenings.. The desperate search for something to kill enemies with keeps you on your toes, and the unpleasant atmosphere makes you feel all cold and icky inside.

South of Midnight impresses with its unique Southern Gothic setting and stunning visuals, but falls short due to repetitive gameplay, shallow storytelling, and lackluster combat.

Dark Arisen adds devilish new content that will challenge you in new and lethal ways. Coupled with some welcome improvements to the main game, the game is even better than before.

The Definitive Edition of Sleeping Dogs is first and foremost for new gamers who haven't played the fun original. The extra missions are decent, but more of the same and the graphical improvements, while fine, aren't stunning.

ZombiU becomes a showcase for the new Nintendo console with it's clever use of its unique controller scheme. It's an excellent survival horror game that keeps you on your toes from start to finish. It's tough and scary, and well worth the effort to play through.

Hero Academy wants a piece of the emerging asynchronous market, and offers a compelling turn based strategy game. After some matches you begin to discover patterns and strategies, and before you know it you're completely hooked.

Dawn of War III is exciting and brings a thrilling multiplayer experience to the table, but a lack of variety and a focus on grinding takes away from its attempt to be a deep, but fast-paced experience at the same time.

It's not often that a tactics game asks you to do anything other than lie in hiding and carrying out carefully thought-out assassinations. Hard West 2 does. Here it's all about getting as much as possible done in one round, and the art of combining the characteristics of the characters with the highly engaging Bravado system makes the game an engaging experience.

The Sims: Medieval is not very deep, and extremely easy, but offers a pleasant and fresh diversion from the main series. The core «sims»-concept has loads of untapped potential, and Medieval might be the first step on the way towards realizing this.

Even though Hamilton's Great Adventure suffers from a story full of cliches and some shortcomings in gameplay, it's also very entertaining. Levels are well designed, and you need to plan ahead, unless you're after winding up stuck on a lonely, wooden platform in the middle of nowhere. This game really demonstrates how saving time can be very time consuming.

The characters are dreadful and the story is not much more than passable, but the combat system and character building is the best yet for the series. If you don't mind annoying characters, you'll have a blast.

Albeit initially bland, the game soon turns into a challenging and charming platform game. The 2D sequences cause nostalgia, and the game as a whole is thoroughly well designed. The few problems – especially the annoying music – are not enough to describe De Blob 2 as anything but a great game.

Sniper Elite 5 is a bad game, in part thanks to boring maps, lackluster graphics and a non-existent story, but most of all because of its fundamentally flawed AI that takes all the fun out of stealth and sniping.

At first glance, New Super Luigi U looks exactly the same as New Super Mario Bros. U. New Super Luigi U feels almost the same as the prequel, but with shorter levels and less time to finish them it has it's strengths in the levels with high amounts of speed and timed jumps.

The fusing of puzzles, Metroidvania and a the film noir aesthics create a very alien, yet familiar world to travel in. It becomes a bit boring in places, but overall the journey is a fascinating one.

As gamers we are taught that games should fit different formulas, game characters should be certain types, and stories should be told in certain ways. D4 refuses to accept the established methods and creates it's own rules like a drunk man on a focused mission. Sometimes it's good to let go of all inhibitions and join the drunk guy in his binge.

A decent multiplayer doesn't make up for all that grudgingly repetitive gameplay and a bloated, clichéd story. The world of Destiny is a shallow and uninspired place that fails to capture the imagination, let alone the will to play on after mowing down the millionth wave of dead-eyed space robots.

Pocket RPG does not mark the first time Action RPGs have been tried on iOS, but it is by far the most successful attempt yet. While Pocket RPG feels unfinished at points, it is a well-designed and fun action game that might become a classic with future upgrades, and should be considered a must-have in the interim.

The final chapters in LEGOs Harry Potter adventure deliver a charming adaption of the last four movies in the franchise. The game features everything you would expect from a Traveller's Tales game, but introduces nothing new to the series. A Repetitive gameplay and somewhat easy riddles decreases the challenge. Still, fans will appreciate the humoristic and enthusiastic retelling of the story, not to forget the huge amount of unlockable content.
