SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 offers easy fun in a short single player campaign. However, the clunky controls and the overpowered A.I.-driven teammates do hamper the experience. The multiplayer mode is solid and extensive.- Gamer.nl

Rebellion is unable to recreate the glory days of the first game. In trying, they have been way too conservative. The result is a game that looks and feels a lot like the original, which doesn’t hold up that much in this day and age. The multiplayer compensates for the single player, but not enough.- Gamer.nl

Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief feels mediocre in every way. The lacklustre presentation fails to create any real connection to the story, the solid fighting system is only entertaining for the first couple of hours and the game is downright easy. You can’t shake the idea you should rather read the book.- Gamer.nl

Props to 2K Games for delivering such a strong sequel. Bioshock 2 offers an absorbing experience, runs smoothly, plays like a dream and has a fantastic story. This is how games that are driven by stories should be. Already one of the best games of 2010.- Gamer.nl

Dante’s Inferno copies God of War in every way possible, except the part that makes God of War really good: the epic scale, the fantastic build-up and original puzzles. These elements are simply lacking in Dante’s Inferno, and what remains is a brown version of the game that it was inspired by. EA could have done better with the source material.- Gamer.nl

Sega doesn’t add much to the old formula except for one thing: the Balance Board. And it doesn’t work. You can just ignore it and use the controllers, but that’s no excuse. The Balance Board is way too imprecise when it comes to rolling monkeys down levels. The jumps and boss battles from the previous game have been axed, which is nice, but the series doesn’t seem to progress in any meaningful way. Sega must be wondering where to take this franchise next.- Gamer.nl

What we’ve got is a brilliant puzzle game with brilliant music of brilliant composers, on sale for a mere 400 Microsoft points of which the majority goes to charity. I don’t think anyone can find an excuse not to buy Chime.- Gamer.nl

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat is in some way the best game in the series. The world is big and the world is more living than ever. Fans will love it, but for newcomers Call of Pripyat might be a bit too dated and inaccessible.- Gamer.nl

White Knight Chronicles feels too old. That’s not without reason: the game appeared in Japan a year and a half before the European release. The end result isn’t worthy of the Level 5-name, even though the hardcore RPG-fanatic will gain some satisfaction from the gameplay.- Gamer.nl

For this price, a real puzzle fanatic can't ignore Toki Tori. There are more than enough puzzles, including a large number of real brain breakers, and the game gives the player the time to think and experiment towards a solution. Anyone who did not get a chance to meet the yellow chicken yet, this PC version of Toki Tori is the right time to do so.- Gamer.nl

Science-fiction movie fans already had movies like Star Wars and Star Trek. Mass Effect 2 manages to finally give a big sci-fi epic to gamers. Thanks to the beautiful visual effects, the game shows a realistic and convincing way of telling an interactive story. On top of that, the game improves upon almost all of the mistakes of its predecessor, though some players might feel the game lacks some more profound RPG-elements.- Gamer.nl

This is a fighting game that has been made with love, that much is clear. It looks the part and plays the part. Even though the controls are overly simplified, fighting fans will lose themselves in the game thanks to all the characters and options. A fantastic addition to the weak offer of hardcore games on the Wii.- Gamer.nl

MAG is more than just the magic number 256. Zipper has created gigantic maps that don’t result in chaos at all and that’s worth appreciating. Players that work together are rewarded and stimulated. The fact that there are lots of smaller battles inside the big battle is what impresses the most.- Gamer.nl

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment offers exactly what you expect from it: a strategic role-playing game that is slightly flawed because of the archaic game design, but that still offers a decent gaming experience.- Gamer.nl

The jetpack might be a nice gimmick, but it’s not innovative enough to carry an entire game, especially since vertical cover can only be used in certain places. Everything else in Dark Void is as generic as generic can be. The level design, enemies, weapons and story, nothing stands out particularly. But for an eight hour single player-only experience, it should have.- Gamer.nl

This wonderfully crafted psychological drama does not only offer a story on a level rarely seen in videogames, it also boasts an excellent audiovisual presentation and an eye for detail. The few minor flaws in the core gameplay don't hurt the experience at all.- Gamer.nl

A bit strange, but fun. It’s too bad the game is very short and the controls are anything but precise, but you’ll laugh until tomorrow thanks to the crazy bodybuilders and their sexy moves.- Gamer.nl

Army of Two: The 40th Day doesn’t hide that it's all about the cooperative game mode. But for a purely cooperative game, it is quite low on content. The other game modes might be decent, but have been done better by other games many times before. Army of Two: The 40th Day could have been the ultimate cooperative game, but failed because it wanted to be everything else as well.- Gamer.nl

Darksiders looks like the result of a head-on collision between the Zelda and God of War-franchise. But instead of a big mess, both fuse together to form a hybrid with the best elements of both, combined with a great story. The game won’t win any awards for originality, but thanks to its long playtime, strong puzzles and great alteration between elements and scenery we can only conclude that Darksiders is already one of the first great games of 2010.- Gamer.nl

The story and world of Bayonetta don’t make sense in any way, but that’s the point. It’s a chain of strange, spectacular moments in incoherent surroundings. It’s a parody of other action games, but it also sets the new standard for those same games. It’s that good.- Gamer.nl

Divinity 2 is an RPG but it isn’t particularly long or blessed with a big game world. The way you can turn into a dragon makes up for it in a lot of ways, though, and the ability to read someone else’s thoughts adds some life in the boring quests. For people who want to play an RPG but don’t have the time to play through a massive adventure, Divinity 2 is a decent option.- Gamer.nl

The Crystal Bearers is a strange mix of minigames and a big adventure in a colorful fantasy world. The formula has potential and at certain points that potential actually comes to fruition, but it doesn’t happen often enough to make The Crystal Bearers anything special.- Gamer.nl
