Sayonara Wild Hearts can compete with stars such as Robyn, Carly Rae Jepsen and Tove Lo. That may sound strange, but as an interactive pop album there's no bigger compliment.

Blasphemous is sadomasochism at its best, both in setting and gameplay. It is a spicy platformer in the metroidvania genre, which also faithfully follows the traditions of Dark Souls. That sounds great, but at one point Blasphemous suddenly becomes weirdly unforgivable.

Many puzzle games these days try to hold your hand too much, but The Sojourn certainly does not. At the same time this beautiful and serene atmosphere ensures that you don't get too frustrated.

This is exactly the remake that the original deserved. With a lot of subtle, but crucial improvements to the gaming experience, this is a nicer and better playing game, while still having the quirky charm of the original.

eFootball PES 2020 is the result of years of experimenting, making mistakes and refining. Both on and off the field this is a phenomenal football game without fuss. The main wishes for PES 2021 are women's football and a defense that is slightly more reliable.

It feels unfair to call Iceborne just downloadable content for Monster Hunter World. This expansion package adds enough new things to potentially keep you busy for hundreds of hours. The new monsters, attacks and the addition of the Clutch Claw ensure that the game still feels fresh.

With Gears of War 4, The Coalition demonstrated the essence of Gears, but with Gears 5 the developer finally dares to take steps forward. It's the impactful campaign that makes Gears 5 a strong game.

With Catherine: Full Body, the unique original is made even more comprehensive, more accessible and more challenging. The compelling story and the complex puzzle platform action will hopefully appeal to more players than before.

Its not easy stepping in the footsteps of Her Story. Telling Lies is great when it comes to quality, but it seems Sam Barlow bit off more than he can chew when it comes to the scale of the game.

Borderlands 3 is pretty traditional, but in many ways this is the ultimate looter-shooter offering up a great satire about the streamculture of today.

Oninaki is a beautiful action RPG that offers an extraordinary story and great variety in playstyles. The gameplay does get a little repetitive towards the end.

This might be a game coming from Patrice Désilets, it is not a very convincing one. The first ten hours of this survival game are mysterious and exciting, but then all that's left is mediocre gameplay.

FMV-game Erica does a lot of great things, but it keeps on walking into obstacles. The controls are not amazing, the acting is a bit flat and the ending is just very unsatisfying.

It took a long time before we could enjoy Metal Wolf Chaos XD in the West. It really feels like a fifteen-year-old game. The wonderfully absurd story and great gameplay keep the game entertaining throughout, but nowhere manages to blow us away.

Just like Until Dawn, the Man of Medan setting - a ghost ship - may be cliché, but the outcome is sublime. The protagonists are sympathetic, the shock effects effective and it is amazing how seamlessly the story unfolds while still being interactive. It is a pity that framerate problems sometimes disturb the illusion.

Control is Remedy at its best. With telekinesis as a supernatural twist this time, Control does things we have never seen before in a game. The story is extremely vague and you just have to love that. If you give it a chance, you will be rewarded.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Astral Chain seems to have been developed with that awareness because every element of the game has been thought out with care and worked out just as careful.

The idea behind 198X is very good, but it does not turn out as great. This is just a mediocre tribute to an era bygone.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood disappoints because Wolfenstein 2 was much more than a good shooting game. Youngblood is not. Though there are enough moments where the fast gameplay impresses and the co-op entertains, the game disappoints in almost everything else.

Three Houses is expanding the Fire Emblem series in an interesting way, cause your choices are important in developing your fighters. The story is not perfect, but with a large number of interesting characters, this is an impressive new Fire Emblem.

Thatgamecompany has created a great game with Sky, having a strong emphasis on discovery and friendship. The game regularly feels like an ode to Journey. The in-app purchases hardly affect this magic, but the bugs and sloppy controls sometimes do.

Void Bastards offers a unique mix of strategy, roguelike, and shooting. Though the environments are not very different from each other and the confrontations with enemies aren't great, the variation in levels and characteristics of your player make Void Bastards great fun.

Gata Roboto is not a Metroidvania from another world: it does not really do anything wrong, but it does not really do many new things either. The big star in this game is the cat, that apparently is a very capable and cuddly replacement for Samus.
