Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is like a theme park. You get a ticket for all the rides, though they all aren't quite as exciting as the next. A few of them offer amazing action, in which you'll run, drive shoot and fly through levels, all the while other rides aren't as great. Fortunately the developers save the best for last and you're given a ticket to the nice multiplayer.

With brilliant writing and acting and a unique way to influence music tracks, Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical makes a big impression. The fact that your choices don't matter much is not that bad, although it is a pity that the soundtrack does not contain any nice sing-alongs.

Tearaway flourishes because of the Vita's control option. They guarantee a good platformer that'll let you reshape and destroy the environment by touching it.

Master of Orion is the perfect game for anyone who has never played a 4X-game, but veterans will not enjoy it as it misses the depth of modern 4X-titels. However, for newbies there is a lot to learn, an amazing design and an awesome soundtrack.

Park Beyond really knows how to add something to the genre with its original attractions, without going completely crazy. The foundation is also surprisingly solid, with intuitive mechanics to manage your park's finances and human resources. But due to the lack of diversity in attractions, the poor control when placing objects and a handful of bugs, the full potential is not yet fully realized.

Outlast 2 is sadistic and violent without being subtle about it. Fear is not beneath the skin; it just hits you in the head like a hammer. It's not perfect, but it is great.

Hyrule Warriors provides plenty of entertainment value and enough familiarity for fans of The Legend of Zelda. Bland environments and a lack of depth in terms of gameplay keep it from rising to the level of quality that Zelda usually brings to the table.

Thanks to its strong card combat Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech is very convincing. The other important parts of a good RPG feel a bit left out. Almost all levels feel the same.

Far Cry 5 adds new material to the franchise, but it is not innovative enough. It all feels a bit too familiar and bugs are keeping this game from being a smooth experience.

This War of Mine conveys the horrors that occur when trying to survive war time. Not through story, but through gameplay which is done perfectly. It is a heavy game that touches upon subjects that are usually kept quiet. It's too bad that the roguelike element of having to start over again and again in this game, stands in the way of really leaving a mark.

Joe Dever's Lone Wolf mixes Infinity Blade-ish combat with an interesting story, but is graphically demanding. Every menu is interactive, moves and demands computing power, what leads to long load times and crashes. Behind these problems hides an entertaining fighting game and an interesting story.

In The Flame in the Flood you have to deal with a long, tempestuous river. Whenever possible, you check out islands for food or drinks. As survival game The Flame in the Flood is very impressive, but after six hours you will probably have experienced all there is to this game.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is the best and worst LittleBigPlanet until now. Bugs and other technical issues keep on annoying us during our play through. It is a pity, because the single-player experience is really convincing and the creative possibilities seem endless.

Hack ’n Slash offers a way out for anyone who’s ever been stuck in games like The Legend of Zelda. Double Fine puts you in the seat of a hacker, which turns out to be a unique and pleasant take on the genre. Hacking may feel like a gimmick at first, but intelligent and refreshing puzzles quickly kill that sentiment.

Horizon Call of the Mountain is mainly a showcase of Sony's new virtual reality headset. This shows that the PS VR2 is technically the best VR headset currently available. And yes, the PS5 can keep up with all of that just fine. In terms of gameplay, it mainly feels like a 'greatest hits' of previous VR games, but merged into a beautiful, seven-hour package. The battles against the immense machines are among the highlights. And while the climbing works well, there's just a little too much of it.

Evolve is a nice but limited multiplayer shooter. Playing the monster is epic and if you manage communication with your team well, hunting is a blast too. But, the limited content and the repetitive gameplay prevent this game from being a monster hit.

Arma 3 makes big steps forward with a huge world and more vehicles and weapons. This time around its trump card is Steam workshop integration though, making downloading mods effortless. A smart move by Bohemia Interactive because it are those mods that will give Arma 3 its long lifespan. Unfortunately Arma 3 is quite inaccessible and doesn't seem to grow along with modern game design on certain fronts. Space time and perseverance are your best friends here, until Bohemia's support starts paying off.

Kirby's first outing on the 3DS is entertaining, nicely polished and has a few nice extra modes. Still, it isn't worth the price of a full 3DS game - a problem that Nintendo keeps running into with their games.

One target, sneaking, disguising, killing and getting out: all of it is in the stylish and strategic board game Hitman GO, but in a totally different way. A little bit weird, but it fits very well in the Hitman universe. The puzzles are fun and varied, but could've been a bit more challenging.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is a solid remaster of a peculiar Zelda game. Thanks to the technical improvements and minor adjustments, the game is more beautiful than ever and plays better too. The button controls also ensure that the game is perfectly playable without motion-sensitive controls. Unfortunately, the Switch game is plagued by fundamental problems from the original, such as the linear setup and backtracking, which means that it cannot measure up to the real gems from this franchise.

Far Cry 6 is still just another Far Cry, regardless of all the fanfare. It's formula is as old as time, but does find stable footing in Yara. With more emphasis on a good crafting system and the series' familiar freedom in playstyles, there's plenty of fun to be had shooting.

It takes a little bit too long before Risen 2 becomes a game you'll actually love. The first five hours of the game didn't bode well for the rest of it, but those who persevere are treated to a very entertaining story and a deep leveling system with which you can give shape to your own class. De varied missions stay interesting throughout the game, but better artificial intelligence, a more striking balance and less bugs would have gone a long way for Risen 2: Dark Waters.

Super Time Force reminds us of side-scrolling shooters from the past, but don't let this fool you: it is a completely unique game on itself. Its combination of shooting and tactical thinking can be quite frustrating at times, but it's entertaining enough to keep you playing for hours. Just don't forget the time.
