This crazy adventure offers entertaining hack 'n slash action and many references. however, these moments are rare and might speak to Suda51-fans more than to other gamers.

We Were Here Too is a cool co-op puzzle game, that challenges you to escape from a room by communicating well. Many puzzles feel the same, so the replay value of this game is not very high.

This is a perfect, crazy game to play thanks to the short fights. The gameplay does offer a depth you would not expect and together with the funny story about sushi this is an excellent title to play on your commute.

Halo: Spartan Assault translates the Halo-franchise to a top-down mobile shooter successfully. The (touch sensitive) controls can be too complex and the game could lean less on micro transactions, but other than that Spartan Assault is the mobile game that Windows (Phone) 8 sorely missed.

The marriage between Faster Than Light and Borderlands makes for one amazing baby. Though the missions are repetitive, the difficulty level and co-op experience are terrific.

It's surprisingly exciting to find words in a collection of letters. Ruzzle Adventure builds a linear story around that, which it doesn't need. Simply creating words is fun enough.

The art and the well-thought-through presentation make The Long Dark an excellent survival genre. The cold, the hunger and the danger of the Canadian countryside leave a big impression. It is too bad the story is not as well made.

WipEout Omega Collection is filled with amazing content, but we do basically know all of it already. Especially as some WipEout-games even repeat certain tracks. Other than that it is an awesome collection.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon bears little resemblance to a Bayonetta game. So don't get the game for the battles, which are quite one-dimensional compared to other PlatinumGames games. Origins excels rather with its puzzle-like platform elements and beautiful graphic style, which makes the game look like an homage to Okami at times.

Dontnod shows with Tell Me Why that the technology behind Life is Strange can also be used to tell other stories. This story is a bit too thin, but it has strong themes. There is also clearly a lot of research done to properly portray the transgender main character.

This is a challenging and accessible turn-based strategy game that will keep you playing for a long time. The tactical options are great and the hand-drawn visual style is very nice, though the story does not really shine like the rest of this very enjoyable game.

Grow Up hasn't really grown up yet, cause you get a full sand box to explore. It still fails to be a game that everybody will love, but if you enjoyed BUD's first adventure, you will definitely enjoy this one too.

If you are looking for something totally new, avoid this game. Star Fox Zero is mainly a classic Star Fox game, though it does comes with some fun surprises. The controls are not great and the choice in airplanes is slim, but still, this is a pretty cool action game for Wii U.

In terms of speed, gameplay, and storytelling, Shenmue 3 hardly matches the current spirit of the times. Everything in the game grinds and cracks on all sides - and that is precisely why it pays to dive into this epic by developer Yu Suzuki.

Fable: The Journey is a good Kinect game. It is obvious Lionhead built the game around Microsoft's peripheral device and knows how to make full use of its capabilities. The gameplay is intuitive, even though it is somewhat repetitive. It's not the perfect Kinect game, but Lionhead's Albion adventure shows other developers how to make good use of the device.

The market for simulation games is bigger than one might expect. Farming Simulator 2013 built an active and respectable fan base in mere weeks. The game is guided by how you want to play it. It goes from peaceful to stressful, from attaining goals to being open ended, but Farming Simulator 2013 mostly offers a lot of fun and appreciation.

It took a while, but The Journey Down: Chapter Two is exactly what we were hoping for. Playtime is a tad longer, the graphics are more lively and it has even more Grim Fandango references than Chapter One. The puzzles do get a bit too predictable towards the end.

With puzzle games there’s the all-important line between just ‘fiddling about’ and ‘feeling smart’. Metrico is on the right side of that line. The game can feel a bit pretentious at times, but it’s still an excellent puzzle experience.

The season finale of The Wolf Among Us is well written and exciting from beginning to end. It’s a nice closure, but there’s a little nasty catch on Telltale’s part: put down the controller and the big bad wolf continues to run, punch and puff without you.

The second episode of the Borderlands-series from Telltales is more about the characters and their relationships. The somewhat more peaceful gaming experience is a nice change. However, the game could have used a better finish. The pilot was better than this one, but the unique storytelling makes us long for more.

In terms of gameplay, Tales of Kenzera: Zau is not special and in terms of difficulty it is even unbalanced here and there. However, the game immerses you in an intriguing setting with a beautiful graphic style and a moving story. In combination with the entertaining combat, it is still worthwhile to venture to the mythical plains of Kenzera.
