Ghostwire: Tokyo is bursting with originality and also looks great. However, that can't prevent that typical open-world game routine creeps in towards the end of the game.

Skylanders: SuperChargers is a bit cheaper, and that is noticeable in the slightly boring and matte design of the Skylanders, which thankfully does no longer matter as soon as you step into your car to have a fun online race.

A great re-release of one of the biggest surprises of the last few years. Yes, the music was better in the original and the graphics are not that different, but the huge amount of items and combinations make up for that. Rebirth is a lot smarter and extended than that Flash game that started it all.

This second collection of ports is an ode to the growth of developer Ready at Dawn. Chains of Olympus feels like good practise, but Ghost of Sparta can stand tall next to the console God of War-games. Together they form a lovely, if not always consistent collection of adventures for Kratos to fight through.

This game easily defeats Yakuza 6. Sublime storytelling and great pacing. It's tragedy and comedy all in one.

F1 2011 is better than F1 2010 on all fronts. A great combination of challenging gameplay and the right race feeling makes this a must-have for all racing simulation fans.

UFC Undisputed 3 rectifies many issues of previous installments, combines depth and simplistic gameplay successfully and contains more content then you'd expect from a new game in a sport franchise. It nears perfection in the MMA-genre, but there's still enough room for improvement.

Good news: The Banner Saga series will offer you an amazing ending that does the franchise right. Everything fits together perfectly and that makes for a very emotional ending of this beautiful adventure.

PES 2018 improves the amazing gameplay of last year, but it does include some things we have disliked about the franchise.

While XCOM: Enemy Unknown (2012) is a modern twist on the game UFO: Enemy Unknown (1994), Xenonauts is an exact copy of the classic that was released in 1994 – and that, we're happy about! Although the game looks much simpler than XCOM in terms of graphics, by remaining faithful to the original it is a lot more challenging and profound than the XCOM reboot. Unfortunately, faithful also means that it contains few original features. Nevertheless, it is a strong turn-based strategy title that mainly evokes a lot of nostalgic feelings.

If Resistance 3 turns out to be the last game in the series, Insomniac can look back without any shame. The series hasn't gone out like a candle, but like fireworks. Sometimes the game is a little rough around the edges, but at the end of the ride you have enjoyed yourself, screamed and laughed. That's more than we expected from a developer who had little experience in the genre at the start of this trilogy.

Good acting, a formidable world and a truly interesting story: Wilson's Heart is a great adventure game. Especially in VR the game is breathtakingly beautiful and creepy at the same time. Sometimes it feels like the studio does not trust the gamers though.

The Old Republic is a high quality MMO that Star Wars-fan will absolutely love. Graphics, sound and story fit perfectly within the diverse Star Wars-universe. The game owes a lot to MMO's like World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online, however, many things we've seen in other games really shine in the capable hands of BioWare. The Old Republic is a game that will especially impress those new to the genre.

Odyssey is the best game in this franchise. It would have been great if the less interesting content was discarded (such as a few locations that are too simular), but the important missions, the war and the hunt for the sect offer many many hours of fun.

Three Houses is expanding the Fire Emblem series in an interesting way, cause your choices are important in developing your fighters. The story is not perfect, but with a large number of interesting characters, this is an impressive new Fire Emblem.

Planet Zoo may be the most detailed zoo simulation ever. Every facet of the zoo - from the habitat of the animals to the release of endangered species into the wild - is in the player's control. This can be overwhelming at first, but luckily the career mode offers a good tutorial. The most impressive thing about the game, however, is the design and realistic behavior of the animals themselves.

Forza Motorsport is an ode to motorsport. Here it's still about petrol, roaring engines, gravel traps and old-fashioned circuits. It is the representation of a culture as it once was: loud, theatrical, bold and yet also a bit masculine. It leads to an intriguing game: never before has it been so cool and exciting to race through the fog at Spa Francorchamps with a souped-up Toyota Celica or a factory version of the Porsche 911 GT3. The only thing missing? A good and varied single player.

Metro: Last Light can be mentioned in the same breath as big games like BioShock and Half-Life 2. Developer A4 Games proves to be very capable on a technical level, and they didn't make any concessions to the experience. When it comes to the gameplay, the developer might retain some of their (somewhat strange) own rules, but does this solely to improve the action.

What could I have done differently? Even with the option to rewind time, it is a question you will often ask yourself when playing Life is Strange. A unique story that asks of you to make big decisions, just to blow you away with the consequences.

Vermintide is great when it comes to depth and replay value. The classes bring a good mix and a strong combination with the very well developed melee system. There are few small bugs, but this still is a very solid co-op experience.

Crypt Custodian is a game about a cute kitten with a little broom who has to clean up the afterlife. Crypt Custodian is also an excellent metroidvania that doesn’t push any boundaries, but it does understand exactly what makes the genre so good: a cute kitten with a little broom.
