You've got to hand it to Square Enmix. Most developers would've tried to forget a failed MMO as quickly as possible. Not at this Japanese company. They relaunch their title as a completely new game to save the Final Fantasy name. And they succeeded. A Realm Reborn is very traditional, but it's also one of the best traditional MMORPG's to have come out recently.- Gamer.nl

If you have not yet played Xenoblade Chronicles, this is your chance. This excellent adventure, with its huge game world, compelling story and balanced fighting system, is magical, even though the screen of the 3DS is a small one.- Gamer.nl

Thanks to the new first person perspective in Resident Evil, this feels like a truly new game. The survival elements are simple but sweet: Biohazard is a genius horror game, and the first big video game that is worth playing on PlayStation VR.- Gamer.nl

This game does not disappoint as it does not compromise on anything. The very traditional build-up is perfect, the game world looks like a million bucks and its characters are very outgoing.- Gamer.nl

Chuchel is very simple, which we are not used to when it comes to Amanita Design. It is yet again very enjoyable though: lots of humour, nice design work and a very charming character.- Gamer.nl

Gran Turismo 7 isn't as revolutionary as its predecessors or certain competitors, and in some ways even comes across as needlessly narrow-minded. But the game is also incredibly beautiful to look at, wonderfully challenging in terms of car controls and full of love for everything on four wheels. This makes it not a modern classic, but a worthy top model.- Gamer.nl

Tales of Xillia gives you an adventure of many hours, filled to the brim with clichés, a lack of innovation, a familiar style and a combat system that’s 90 percent copied from the previous games in the series. If you add it all up you get one of the best Japanese role-playing games of this generation. Tales of Xillia surprises, even though it doesn’t really do anything surprising.- Gamer.nl

The beautiful, atmospheric snowy world of The Banner Saga forms the decor for a story in which you're forced to accept all the consequences of your choices. The simple, but entertaining turn-based gameplay usually works in favor of the story, not the other way around.- Gamer.nl

Bright samba-colors, an enthused audience and Van Persie holding up the cup; along with the patched up gameplay it makes 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil the ideal platform for every WC-dream.- Gamer.nl

Let's just say it: Hotline Miami isn't for everyone. It's brutal, bloody and extraordinarily unforgiving. Thanks to Hotline Miami, the 8-bit top-down shooter genre gets put in the spotlight again after Retro City Rampage. It deserves the attention. Well, if you can stomach countless retries and a dozen smashed skulls.- Gamer.nl

Device 6 is a unique combination of literature and games. Text and puzzles are nicely accompanied by a surprisingly chilling atmosphere. Multiple times it manages to hurt the brain, but keeps players invested with an intriguing story.- Gamer.nl

The promise of an island full of challenging puzzles makes the Witness feel a bit inauthentic. That is not a problem, as this world is created to make the player feel proud. Always keep learning is the slogan for this game because if you are not willing to understand the puzzle methods, you will not enjoy this game very much.- Gamer.nl

The creators succeeded in reviving the SSX-franchise. The slopes are varied, challenging and incredibly fast. There is always challenge to be found, especially in the expansive multiplayer, but new players shouldn't have any problems picking it up.- Gamer.nl

Dungeons 2 is a colorful strategy game like Dungeon Keeper. The charming style and the mix of running ominous dungeons and raiding the world makes Dungeons 2 a solid game. The terrible jokes during the campaign however, do not do the atmosphere in this game good.- Gamer.nl

Resident Evil 4 takes everything that was good about the original game and puts it in a shiny new look. The end result is just as action-packed as before, just a little more creepy and, above all, much, much more beautiful. Despite that, the game doesn't really innovate anywhere, making it unlikely that this remake will have the same impact as its illustrious predecessor.- Gamer.nl

Company of Heroes 2 has a few downsides, but remains standing effortlessly thanks to the great gameplay. Relic Entertainment has done an excellent job by adding some very welcome elements which have battles be about daring tactics and troop combinations. Just the way we’re used to.- Gamer.nl

Starhawk is a fresh and entertaining third-person shooter, that mainly holds its own in multiplayer. The single player is expendable and works as an introduction for the Build and Battle-system. It is that system that carries the game and makes for wonderfully chaotic battles and an intense, alternative variant of the well-known tower defense. Starhawk is arguably one of the best multiplayer experiences for the PlayStation 3.- Gamer.nl
