There's no doubt in our minds that this is the best looking shooter on iOS, that the singleplayer campaign is solid, and that multiplayer is a blast.

It's easy to knock Gameloft for blatantly ripping off other games, but you have to be impressed with the level of quality in which they do it. And while N.O.V.A. borrows more than a few ideas from the Halo series, it also shows that iOS is more than capable of delivering a full console experience that can easily stand on its own.

Exactly what many FPS players have been waiting for: A handheld shooter that’s faithful to the genre, offers plenty of content and playability, solid multiplayer and graphics better than any handheld has managed before. We’ll easily recommend this to all Vita owners.

A new an improved Max Payne, without forgetting the old guy we all have come to love and remember fondly. Purists will no doubt enjoy the fact that there is no regenerating health, and you can decide yourself how much assistance you want as far as aiming goes as you pull the left trigger - and you can turn the assist off completely if that's your preference. The challenge is there even on normal difficulty. You can expect somewhere between 8-10 hours to complete the game. And then there is a solid multiplayer game to mess around with. Great stuff!

Capcom has done a truly amazing job of cramming one of the deepest action games onto the iPad.

The 2014 edition of Sky Force is one of the best shoot em ups in a long time on iOS and Android. Simply gorgeous to look at, great to control and filled with enemies and insane levels. Ads are a minor let down, but if you are prepared to pay a bit there is IAP to get rid of this.

We have seen the adventure before, but this time everything feels polished, even though the sound is getting old. The menu is simple and touch works like a charm. The best Pokémon ever.

Dead Space 2 is an absolute treat for anyone who thinks there's to much goofing around and too little trembling with horror in today's games. And even if you're not exactly on the lookout for a scary game, Dead Space 2 still comes heartily recommended as it is a fantastic journey from start to finish with an enormous concentration of quality.

Everything we hoped for and expected from Gearbox's anticipated sequel. Takes just about every aspect of the first game and polishes them to a shine, making it hard to ever look back. One of the games that has made us laugh the most in recent times.

It's nothing short of exemplary how Firaxis has taken a true classic and updated it for modern times without compromising the essence of what made it great. XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a worthy heir and more than lives up to our expectations.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is one of the rare experiences where everything just clicks. The style, the feeling, the controls and the gameplay. If you are looking for a solid (or cheap) platformer for your priced PS Vita look no further. This one has everything going for it.

Rift is an incredible piece of gaming craftmanship and has singlehandedly put the notion that players need to settle for buggy launches to death.

Rayman Fiesta Run might not be as great a platformer as Legends or Origins, but it takes the formula from Rayman Jungle Run and refines and expands that. With a harder difficulty and an option to cheat a bit, it caters for both the casual and experienced gamer. It is simply a fantastic platformer for mobiles.

LIMBO's puzzles are as devious as the game is gorgeous, this game will have you planted in your seat from beginning to end. Not a long story by any means, but buying this stylish adventure should still be a no-brainer.

Every bit as good as the version for the home consoles. If you've yet to play this game, you're missing out on 60 levels of pure platforming bliss. Our only gripe is the lack of multiplayer, but if anything, that just made us appreciate the spectacular level design even more.

Simple, fun, crazy and addictive. These are all words I would use to describe this pixelated twin-stick-shooter. Good chiptune-music, charming retro graphics and tons of loot keep you hooked no matter if you are in for a retro fix or a simple space adventure with focus on ship building.

Without a doubt the most elaborate, polished and streamlined expansion for Blizzards MMO-monster yet. Cataclysm is so well-done that it makes The Burning Crusade, the first expansion for the game, look crude and old fashioned by comparison. At the same time, though, it has an odd feel of finality to it. Like World of Warcraft is reaching the end of what it's capable of doing. The game is aging gracefully, but you have to wonder where it can go after this.

There's no real news here if you're already a Street Fighter ace on the home consoles, but it's still the Street Fighter IV that we know and love. For newcomers, the little helper buttons on the touch screen are a clever addition that makes the game more accessible. The 3D effect is neat but nothing mindblowing, although the optional over-the-shoulder camera angle confuses more than it helps. But all in all an excellent fighting game.

Amazing visuals, great controls and superb car physics. You might hate the freemium model introduced in Real Racing 3. But if you decide to skip the game because of this, then you will miss out on the greatest mobile racer ever made for mobiles and tablets. Sure, you can always buy the cheapest pack which includes a nice BMW. After all that will only be a third of the price for Real Racing 2. Go ahead no one is looking. If not, then lock your credit card away and drop repairs until you get enough in-game currency to put some cars in your garage. After that there’s no turning back. You will be hooked.

Oozes basketball atmosphere in a way that we've never seen in any other sports game. 2K Sports have made a game that's difficult to pick up if you're still a basketball virgin, but once you've learned all the moves, there's plenty to explore in this entertaining and challenging release.

The differences from previous versions of the game are miniscule, but Mass Effect 3 still offers a fantastic story with grand moments. A great place to start your Wii U collection.

One of the best multiplayer games of 2010 just got better. The Vietnam setting means that most of the hi-tech gadgets from the main game are gone, which leads to a combat experience that is more up close and personal. The new levels are excellent and sufficiently different, the visuals are great, and the audio nothing short of fantastic. If you like Bad Company 2, this is an absolute must-have.

Beyond Good & Evil has been lauded ever since its first release, and is the defining example of a game that didn't get the commercial success it deserved. It's still a fantastic game, and at this price its one of the best digital purchases you can make.

Competitors, pack away your tomahawks and rats and magic mumbo-jumbo. Hitman is still the king of sneaky assassins.

If you are into Twilight, vampires and stuff like that, then you will love this expansion. Not only do you get a chance to make a new choice in regards to your "relation", but you also get a gripping story, a family tragedy and a decent amount of new spells if you are into the werewolf or vampire parts of TeS. And you also get a dragon shout and new gear. Not bad.

While the PC and Xbox One versions are superior, the Xbox 360 port of Titanfall comes as close to their glory as one could possibly have hoped for.

While it maintains close mechanical proximity to the games that came before, Requiem is solid proof that what Capcom has built has a fundamental appeal, and, more importantly, a quality that few can match.

Trials Fusion is as addictive as always, a fantastic experience that balances complexity and nuanced simplicity in a display of level design power. The eight worlds are easily enough to justify the price tag, and the track creation tools will make us keep coming back for ages.
