In fact, games such as these are really losing their style due to the fact that they're sometimes too long—FFTA2 should actually take you 30-40 hours to finish, while taking more than 80 if you intend on finishing every mission and finding every nook and cranny with the job system.

If you’re more inclined to pick up one of the older console versions, we’d recommend the PlayStation 2 version because its controller is probably the most user-friendly, and it has a connectivity feature with the PSP that allows you to transfer an entire season in Franchise Mode from the PS2 into your PSP.

It's impossible to deny this title's appeal, with its excellent use of an excellent license, adept implementation of team combos, and picturesque scenery. If you're a hardcore gamer, you'll notice the flaws and lack of depth, but even then, Narnia is still likely to weave a spell on you.

Simply put, it's everything you expect--another year of football with another year of Madden.

The way it blends single player and multiplayer together into one package is nice, and is something that hasn’t been done in a console racing game to date. The game plays very well; it looks pretty, and sounds alright.

Though Disgaea 3 certainly lacks in presentational value, it impresses where it needs to with a lengthy main quest and potentially hundreds of hours of end game content to please the most hardcore of Disgaea fans.

Wolfenstein might not hold up to Call of Duty in terms of sales, but Activision’s other WWII shooter still has plenty of interesting ideas to please any fan. With powerful weapons at your disposal, supernatural powers with the help of The Veil, and plenty of eerie Nazi soldiers to kill, the fun never stops.

As a stand-alone game Guitar Hero: Metallica is decent. The 49 songs in the game are all good, though it would be great to be able to export them to World Tour and have everything in one place.

There is absolutely no multiplayer, for example, and the measly extras unlocked as you progress through the game are scant reward for your labor. Nonetheless, you’re likely to see King Kong through to the end, a testament to its compelling, succinct gameplay.

While a few purists may want to grumble over the new nail the trick feature, once you’ve tried and mastered it, you’ll never want to go back to the way things were.

Unlike Brain Age, Big Brain Academy was probably actually developed to be a game. Big Brain Academy doesn’t have all the nuances and support from neuroscientists and other simply brainy things, but in the end—the goal is the same.

The lack of multiplayer and online co-op, as well as less-than-average visuals makes this game only worth a rental, with almost no redeeming replay value.

The new control scheme is great and needs to be implemented for more third-person action games that seem to feel hindered by whatever control scheme they think they should use.

Again, this remake of the original is based on the engine found in Legend, but really could have used more from it. It’s absolutely worth playing because it’s fun and actually better than the original Tomb Raider.

The battle system isn't perfect by any means, but it works out a lot better than it did in Heroes of Mana. A lot of the DS strategy games lack the ability for the user to turn the map around to view things from a different angle, and that's where all of these games, including Revenant Wings, falter.

While it may be a bit later than PSP owners in 2005 expected, what we did end up with is a pretty good portable version of Gran Turismo that doesn’t have everything we’d expect out of a portable iteration of this series.

While the level designs deserve plenty of praise for creatively exhibiting the Nine Circles of Hell, Dante’s Inferno really has nothing else to offer itself other than its obvious comparison to God of War.
