    For the price, and for the quality of offer, Tomb Raider: Anniversary is easily one the best games released all year. Blessed with an excellent control system and chock full of masterfully designed levels, as far as puzzle-based action adventures go, there have been none finer for years.

    It’s been a long and tumultuous ride over the years for our girl Lara. It’s nice to see her go back to what made her the woman she is today. Solid controls, huge areas to explore and conquer, and larger than life ancient block puzzles to solve all make an appearance.

    This is what a Tomb Raider should look like. It's a great remake who keeps the spirit of the franchise.

Levels have a familiar feel, if you played the first one, but rarely are the traps and level design are the same as the first.     A remarkable change, and improvement over the original Tomb Raider game, yet it maintains all of its quirks, and excitement. You still get to explore fascinating landscapes, and solve lots of puzzles, and kick ass, but you can do so with a greater range of movement, and freedom.

    An enjoyable game all around, even if sometimes frustrating. There are a few flaws, but nothing you cannot over come. Asides from a few minor bugs, there are points in the game, where the camera angles, and imprecise controls betray you. Sometimes you just have to jump blindly.

    However, you can get through it, and overall Tomb Raider is something worth picking up. There are many surprises, and fun is to be had, especially if you are into the action-puzzle genre. For a lot of people (including myself) this will be a blast from the past, and a revisit to a game that upon release was extremely refreshing, and original.    … Expand

Combined with the insane amount of backtracking required in the "improved" levels, I'd seriously rather bust out Tomb Raider 1. Big disappointment here.… Expand
