While a lot of the modernizes Frogwares implements are not for the betterment of the franchise (simplification and implementation of unnecessary mechanisms), they have produced a technically impressive title with some fresh ideas and great scenarios that can provide an interesting weekend.

The new adventure of Shank manages to fix and greatly improve some of the gameplay mechanics, providing an immensely satisfying combat system. We hope that a possible sequel will also see improvements in the platforming sections along with a greater variety in enemy types.

Having the same gameplay core as its spiritual parents (Left for Dead), Back 4 Blood implements some new tricks to keep the player hooked. Light RPG elements, through weapon customization and deck building, enrich the basic formula of the game, providing a much needed modern approach.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership is packed with well-written humour, clever puzzles, and excellent level design. Though it's not without issues, such as limited enemy variety and long loading times, its charm and fun factor are undeniable.

While not as deep and challenging as the Darkest Dungeon, nor as strategic and methodical as XCOM 2, Othercide excels in fast paced, visceral turn-based combat delivered in an appealing graphical presentation.

A decent effort from Obsidian to transfer a complicated gameplay system to the consoles. Its not without flaws, some of which are new and some are ingrained in the game from the original version, but it still is a highly entertaining title, poised to offer dozens of hours of exciting swashbuckling adventures.

Shadows of the Damned is everything you'd expect from a Grasshopper game, made better by the collective experience of Akira Yamaoka and Shinji Mikami working together with Suda51. It's pure pulpy, cult grindhouse fun, with some excellent action mechanics and awesome sound and music throughout.
