An interesting choice in creating a game based in Lovecraft's works, combining a highly addictive gameplay style with a horror packed atmospheric setting and a decent story.

Superb controls, great graphics and an interesting "classic" mode make the new iteration of this franchise a must have for golf enthusiasts.

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale is basically XCOM in a fantasy setting with a melee-based combat system. Fans of this TBS subgenre will definitely have a good time. It doesn’t elevate the XCOM formula, but in the end, it doesn’t need to.

Cognition Ep 3 is smaller, easier and more linear than its predecessors, a point that shows the problems of episodic gaming. Thank God it manages to overcome these problems with its brilliant storytelling, intriguing twists and great new gameplay additions.

DOW 3 is trying very hard to satisfy many target groups -RTS players, online competitors, mobs fans- but in the end it fails to deliver something memorable.

Hard West 2 is a sequel we didn’t know we wanted. It’s XCOM-esque gameplay is enriched with the especially fresh mechanic of bravado, which leads to a completely unique approach at the shootouts. That’s no small feat for a subgenre where its rules of engagement are deeply embedded to the past.

The Sims: Medieval is an interesting experiment, with some good ideas, but their use is far from ideal. The repetition and the pacing problems have a negative impact on the overall experience, but this will not prevent fans of the series from spending many enjoyable hours with it.

With superb writing, clever humour and a unique kind of drama, Lisa proves that sometimes you don't need great technology and high quality graphics in order to tell a great story.

Tales studio delivers another great JRPG -albeit not as great as Vesperia- with a strong narrative and a superb battle system.

Truly organic, high quality boss fights in action games are kind of a lost art that only a few developers still put effort to retain. Furi is fully concentrated in this kind of battles and unquestionably succeeds. Its boss battles are intense, lengthy, challenging and unpredictable while also fair, fun and never exhaustive.

If you have missed the initial release of The World Ends With You, Final Remix is a great opportunity to experience the story of this excellent JRPG for the first time. However, be aware that the battle system controls in this edition are the worst... "Noise" of the game.

de Blob 2 is by all means an enjoyable game, one that will keep younger gamers happy and probably their parents too. But that constant repetition will quickly - and surely - wear the fun off.

Unfortunately, EA Sports WRC is not one of Codemasters' best moments. On one hand the driving model is excellent and the variety of racing tracks is quite good but on the other hand it's a step back in terms of visuals while also its career mode could be described, generously, as derivative.

With such a generic title we would have never expected Souldiers to be one of the best metroidvania games we played and yet it truly is one of the best experiences the genre has to offer. Its world is enormous, the variety of the enemies more than satisfying and the three diverse classes offer plenty of replayability. On top of that its pixel-art is just beautiful.

An interesting 2D shooter with a few intriguing boss battles and an art style very similar to the Pixel Junk series. On the other hand, it feels very repetitive and some puzzles are just trying to "buy time" for the campaign.

It’s a sweet trip down to memory lane with some of the best games of the NES era, but we can never shake the feeling that this collection should have gotten the “Duck Tales Remastered” treatment instead of an emulated HD re-release.

Screamer is a truly unique racer, standing out thanks to its charming anime aesthetic, both on the track and in its well-crafted cutscenes. The characters are well written, even if the story is somewhat predictable. Thankfully, the driving model is up to par, offering a variety of nuanced mechanics within its arcade feel that keep the challenge high but fair. Unfortunately, it’s dragged down by a limited selection of courses and vehicles.

Featuring a new world, a new, colorful cast of characters and brilliantly designed environments, Bravely Default 2 can be an absolute trait for a significantly large amount of time. It does fall short, though, on all the shortcomings of the genre; unsurprising and often predictable plot elements, the need for grinding and the challenge, which is there, and requires the player to trod carefully.

Invincible VS does justice to the visual identity of the comic and TV show, something fans will definitely appreciate. Its alternate take on the story is also intriguing, even if it’s on the short sied at around two hours. That said, the pacing of the fights feels slower than expected, particularly with its tag-team mechanics, and some unusual changes to established genre mechanics end up feeling unnecessary and offer little benefit.
