By exploiting the power of Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition manages to fulfill the original ideas of its developers and to accomplish what the fans of the series have been craving for so long. Fans of the series will be delighted by the significantly improved UI, which makes city-building as addictive as ever. The visuals are gorgeous, packed with detail and enhanced by excellent lighting effects. Still, one can’t help but wish for more coherence between the various gameplay systems, as some feel undercooked, suggesting the game may have been released a bit earlier than it should have been.

Definitely not the Pokémon game that is set to include new, groundbreaking gameplay elements. However, it’s the Pokémon game that expands on the original story of the current generation, a game that is able to offer hours of gameplay to the extent that only the Pokémon series can do; but, most importantly, it is a beautiful farewell to the Alola region and to an era of Pokémon games in pure portable consoles. Looking forward to see the new heights Game Freak is going to reach with the upcoming Switch game.
