It would have been easy to create a simple button masher and slap the UFC label on it – instead, THQ have created a detailed fighting engine that is not only a blast to play but gives you wonderful insight into the depth of MMA combat.

This is a great action role playing game which will appeal to fans of Japanese RPG gamers and Western RPG Gamers and for a title like this from a traditional Japanese RPG company that is a rare thing. So buy this game if you like action RPG’s, RPG’s or action games.

The entire single player mission will take only seven hours. If there is an outstanding flaw in this title it would be it’s replay value.

If you enjoy strategy gaming, then Nobunaga’s Ambition is one of those games you should own on your PS2/PS3. The game is very deep and involved and one of those series you can play for months and still enjoy it just like it is a brand new game. This is a must buy for fans of the series and a rental for everyone else who is looking for something new.

North American gamers are getting a more streamlined game, however, as key features in the Japanese version have been cut for fear that Western audiences wouldn't understand them. Still, the core of the game is here, and even with some of the extras missing, there's more than enough content for would-be Japanese mobsters to sink their teeth into.

It's been a long time since I've had to really think my way through a game and for fans of the genre - or anyone looking for something new - Lost Horizon makes for a solid choice.

Lara Croft is a good looking and well balanced puzzle gaming experience that breathes fresh life into the aging franchise.

For what it offers, the game deserves a good look but its lack of MK flavour might turn off some people, especially the die hard MK fans. Still this game is awesome and deserves attention. Shedding some dollars will not be a waste for the entertainment gained in return.

A welcome surprise and a nice break from the story-heavy and highly cinematic games that have come out in the past few months. This game is the definition of gameplay over presentation, and it’s all the better for it.

While the single player may come off as generic to some, the story is interesting enough to be worth a look for anyone with even a passing interest in the sci-fi shooter genre. Still, it’s the multiplayer that really stands out as the best on the Wii.

Of all five Xbox LIVE Arcade games that were released for the Summer of Arcade promotion, if you could only get one of them, this is it. It's the most fun, offers the most value, and it's great to play with and against friends.

All of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3's beloved 3-on-3 tag-team action makes the transition to the Vita, and the game truly looks and plays just like its console brethren.

Very fun combat, mixed into an era we rarely ever see touched in gaming and solid but brutal gameplay and the fantastic community built mod’s, gives this game a permanent place in my gaming library. Buy it.

This is one of the best action platform games in a while and for only 800 MS Points this is seriously one of the better gaming deals to be had over the long hot summer. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled is a great game and a must buy for Xbox 360 owners.

I am sure the “Grindhouse” graphics and audio will annoy some people to death, those brave enough to see the games beauty behind the rough graphic filters, rock-a-billy music and blood n’ guts gameplay will find much entertainment in this game. Certainly one of the few new gaming franchises that are a true must buy this summer. Rubi and WET totally rock.

The single player campaign is fantastic for someone who is new to FPS gaming. Stuff blows up nicely, you have an insta-heal device, and easy is incredibly easy. There is a story, it’s funny in parts and it’s not all Rah-rah!

What BF:1943 lacks in depth compared to earlier Battlefield games, it makes up for in a simplistic and challenging multiplayer game. Twenty-four person matches feel fantastic and except for the odd laggy match, it’s a seamless and fun experience. If you can get together a squad, there isn’t a more fun FPS online experience for your money.

This is what I like about the gaming industry: there’s always a surprise waiting for you around the corner. Although the offering has obvious technical limitations and does come with a solid learning curve, Beaterator is very interesting and packs enough punch to please and intrigue any kind of gamer. Beaterator is worth checking out!

For those who have been a fan of any of the previous echo games, echochrome ii offers the same amount of enjoyment and challenge thanks in part to the ingenious puzzles and the creative use of the Move controller as a flashlight.

If you enjoyed echochrome, picking up echoshift is a no brainer. At the same time, if you've been craving a puzzle game that can be enjoyed in short bursts, works your brain muscles and still offers plenty of value, once again, you cannot go wrong here.

While Ghost of Sparta doesn't do anything revolutionary or really tweak the series, it still serves as an excellent action-adventure title that fans of the series will fully enjoy. If this is the last time we see Kratos on the PSP, thankfully, he ends on a high note.

Amazingly Too Human has some amazing graphics power behind it, with some wide open complex levels, dozens of monsters and the player or players destroying everything in sight, the game never slows down or lags at all. When we are used to games with 4 to 10 characters on the screen at once, seeing so many is a pure visual feast.

The roster is a dream come true for most fans and the testosterone-fueled, simplistic and at the same time extremely exaggerated action makes this one easy to recommend to both the fans and non-fans alike, especially for those who have been looking for a more arcade-like experience.
