Featuring a myriad of gameplay modes, improved HD visuals and the same high-paced action feel, Perfect Dark is a great overall package. I’d highly recommend adding this XBLA re-make of a Nintendo 64 classic to your XBLA game collection.

Bulletstorm is an adult game that takes the principles behind Geometry Wars and sets it in a First Person Shooter shell. With a market saturated with thought-inducing fodder like the Mass Effect franchise and Red Dead Redemption, sometimes a thumping whip into a Flyswatter is exactly what the doctor ordered.

With a completely new way to play a Real Time Strategy game and some excellent multiplayer gaming this is one game that is a must buy for strategy fans of any type. If it was not for a few minor issues with the game such as nothing south of the equator and a lack of a cool looking single player campaign presentation wise (it is a great campaign to play though) this would be one of the top 10 played games on Xbox Live for many months.

This game will not have you glued to your PS3 or PSP for hours on end, but it is refreshing.

It's a simple enough concept, but the execution is top-notch. There are few games that hook me as fast as Gatling Gears did, and I have a feeling the same will hold true for you.

Yes, NBA 2K9 is great. While Living Rosters and Five-on-Five online are noteworthy additions to the franchise, the game doesn’t feature much new stuff besides those two options. Instead, Visual Concepts tweaked, improved and continued to build upon several aspects the franchise has been accustomed to deliver year after year. It’s definitely good to see the improvement especially after the less-stellar 2K8. NBA 2K9 is the closest you will get to the NBA world and it’s definitely worth every penny.

THQ and Codeglue have got a winner on their hands. Rocket Riot is a very stylized, 3D rendered, 2D side view shooter that is fast, furious, doesn’t take itself too seriously and is just simply a hell of a lot of fun to play.

NHL 2K10 is the most complete sports package on the Wii. While it may take some time to get the nuances of the controls down, this is the most satisfying version of the game on offer. Forget HD, this is all about gameplay, and it delivers.

If you were waiting for all available versions of NBA Jam to hit stores, the addition of Online make this the version of choice. On the other hand, if you don't plan on playing online, I would recommend picking-up the Wii-version and experiencing the game how it was initially meant to be played.

For a game that Activision have said they want to stand on its own, it just doesn’t seem to change the formula enough to make it appeal to people who’ve played other games in the series. At least not yet, anyway. Really, this is just a gussied-up track pack for the casual market. That’s not to say that it isn’t a fun experience, it’s just certainly not a new one.

While it won’t win huge awards, this new and improved version of a forgotten classic comes in a time where Nintendo fans are patiently waiting for the return of their favourite pink-puffed character. Fear not, this addictive game will not only keep you busy until a true new Kirby arrives but will also make you regret not playing it twelve years ago.

A worthy rebirth of the franchise as it possesses fast-paced chaotic action, which is diversified by the several weapons that make up Dante’s arsenal, an engaging soundtrack, and a story worthy of the DmC franchise.

Ubisoft Montréal took an enormous risk by taking a whole new direction with this new Prince of Persia. Although the final product could have included greater difficulty and more emphasis on combat for the non-casual crowd; we can safely say that the risk was indeed worth it.

Even if the game is short and frustrating at times, we can’t go without saying that Mirror’s Edge needs to be experienced by every gamer. In a time where sequels and uninspiring titles are flooding the market, seeing this game hitting store shelves is refreshing. Now, we can’t wait where DICE will take the franchise as it has already been confirmed as a trilogy. Kudos!

I have to hand it to Telltale, even though I had my doubts, they pulled this off in fine fashion. They've taken what they do best and managed to fit it to a franchise that would seem to be better suited for a different genre altogether.

Some might see it as a way to get people's attention for the much-talked sequel. Others as a way to correct a marketing mistake. Personally I see both affirmations as correct. Still, this HD return is certainly worth checking out.

EA Sports has finally gotten into gear with FIFA 09 after some very questionable releases over the past three years. The sound and graphics are among the best available in any sports game and the overall game-play has improved leaps and bounds from the past HD releases. There still is room for improvement and I am confident that the future editions of Be a Pro will be better tuned and more rewarding.

Comic Jumper is a fitting third entry for Twisted Pixel. While the combat does mar things a bit, ushering in some frustrating moments, the humor does a great job keeping its tongue firmly placed in its cheek.

The amount of customization alone in this game is definitely worth it, but if that weren’t enough, there’s a ton of activities and missions to keep you hooked for quite some time. There’s a wealth of options here and really the only thing that will totally put some people off the game is the lack of serious content, as the game goes out of its way to prove just how ridiculous it can be. For fans of low-brow humour though, this game has it in spades.

Leaving the open-world and adopting a more confined, linear environment, Volition's newest entry in the popular franchise promises a far more engaging story and less distractions without compromising what the Illinois-based developer has been building upon. The result is quite different...but pleasantly interesting.
