An average vehicle mission and a couple unimaginative boss battles knock it down a peg, but Gears of War 2 is still a magnificent third person shooter and one of the year's best.

You'll be hard pressed to find a better looking Naruto game, however, with amazing cel-shaded characters (25 in all), vistas and gigantic bosses that make trudging through the adventure worthwhile. A lot could be improved in a future iteration, but the game should please most fans.

Nathan Hale's lack of personality makes him impossible to like, while trial by death game design forces you to learn the hard way. Enemies have a bad habit of zeroing in on you and ignoring your computer controlled teammates, and the inability to play the single player campaign alongside a friend makes no sense. It would've been nice to download songs from the original SingStar, along with upgrades to the dated interface; this is a sequel, after all. Regardless, Vol. 2 still carries a tune.

A lack of options keeps it from being on the same level as other racers, but with 16 person online matches, plenty of tracks and speedier load times, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is a fast-paced and brutal arcade style romp.

The "cute" graphics and sound may be overkill (especially once you hear the "Sim-speak" gibberish), but kids and fans of the original game will heartily accept this quest.

Ninjatown takes the fast-thinking, reactionary gameplay of tower defense and combines it with simple real-time strategy elements, creating one of the more compelling and unique games in recent memory.

Adults will probably grow bored within an hour, and paying $59.99 for the bundle (with no option to purchase the game by itself) feels expensive, but N-Strike will appeal to kiddies as well as parents who don't want their children firing real darts in their homes.

One of the Wii's best trivia games, but we recommend that you pick up the downloadable WiiWare version instead for a mere $10.

It also has some of the best graphics and audio on PlayStation 3. All of the textures, from a sun drenched African landscape to Sackboy's realistic looking burlap skin look amazing, as do the various special effects.

The graphics look terrific, and the GLaDOS computer system has plenty of insane banter. You owe it to yourself to check this out, even if you beat the original.
