    You won't be able to blame A Walk In The Dark for concealing its influences. It's an open and blatant mix of Super Meat Boy, VVVVVV, Bit.Trip Runner and Limbo. Unfortunately, mixing the best elements is not always the recipe of success, when you don't cook it well enough. It's not nearly as fun and enticing as the sum of its parts, or even of a single one of them. The music is still superb, though.

    The original question was : "is it better if we're two players?". The answer is definitely yes, but it's still quite mediocre. Prettier, much better designed than the first one, but this Episode 2 still remains a sad version of a platformer with annoying musics and dull level design.

    Knights Contract seems to have strong qualities... at first. A sexy witch with interesting powers, which is ultimately too limited ; a super strong knight, which is uninspired in his fighting style; an atypical universe, which is finally overwhelmed... and the complementarity gameplay couldn't save this duo. They are not made for each other, as this title is repetitive and dated in many ways. Do not sign this contract!

    To be honest, we weren't really expecting any sort of surprise when booting up Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. The experience can remain nice when played casually, but only when you are two to enjoy it, and haven't played through all the others railshooters out there. There's probably a safest bet you haven't tried yet, though.

    One may enjoy Naughty Bear for a while, but quickly enough, reality will catch up. The idea of a massacre starring adorable fluffy bears is undoubtedly a brilliant one, but it is poorly implemented here. Slow, imprecise, poised by narrow levels, and a to-soon to come lack of inspiration to continue driving the original idea further make it a concept that couldn't mature and blossom to become a good enough game.

    Harry Potter for Kinect offers a nice immersion for our younger ones, when it's only their hands they need to use. But when the rest of the body is required as well, not so much. Some challenges are plain tedious, dull or unimaginative, and it clearly overshadows the better crafted missions.

    A Gamebook for tablets and smartphones - Superb idea. But Hamnasya suffers from serious issues with bugs, interface shortcomings, and too much relying on pure luck. In terms of story, it's decent, but incredibly classic heroic fantasy and sometimes written with excessive verbose.

    Medal of Honor Above and Beyond returns to Oculus Quest II, and the challenge is great on this small autonomous headset. And unfortunately, he doesn’t get it too. The technique is often faulty, with jerky animations of the sets and characters, which can become unpleasant over time. And if we set the graphics settings to the maximum, the game almost starts to row. In addition, the single player campaign, made up of small scenes of a few minutes, offers a false rhythm, with a lot of rather long dialogue, with a French accent in overplayed English, between two sometimes short fights. If some spectacular passages stand out, it is difficult to get excited about its events. A survival mode and a multiplayer mode complete the picture, but the rather stupid AI of the enemies does not make it all essential. It's a shame, because in terms of interaction, it was pretty well done, with pretty cool weapon handling. On recent releases, prefer Resident Evil 4 VR, by far.

    In its current state, it is impossible to recommend Cities Skylines 2, as the game proves to be unplayable, even on a very powerful machine. The game has enormous potential and could score much higher after the necessary corrections. It is important to note that this is not an early access version, but a "final" version that is being sold for 49.99 euros. Players have the right to expect a smooth and complete gaming experience for this price, and unfortunately, Cities Skylines 2 does not meet these expectations in its current state.

    With Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Activision has unfortunately proved right all those who have been criticizing the franchise since the dawn of time, with arguments that are sometimes a little excessive. This time, it's impossible to prove them wrong. Under the guise of nostalgia, we're treated to maps we've already seen and heard of, and nothing new, nor any major changes, just to get the ball rolling again. The campaign is short and uneven. There are a few memorable sequences, but they can be counted on the fingers of one hand. As for the zombie mode, it's a simple mix of DMZ and Cold War Zombie thrown together on the new Warzone map. Even if it's not all bad news - the game's multiplayer is pretty solid, and the sensations and gunplay are cool - Activision knows that when we hear you talk about a "premium experience", we don't believe it for a moment. And yet it's a very good customer who's telling you here, not without a certain sadness.

If you fancy a good 4 player beat'em all, go the Castle Crashers route.

    We thought the added horsepower of the 3DS could have given a new breath to the FIFA franchise on Nintendo's portable line, but it's not. It might yet be satisfying for kids, but this 3DS FIFA doesn't have much in common with the HD versions, it even lacks some official licences. Also, there is no online play.

    Generation Zero has good ideas and had many arguments in his favour. A context that stands out from the ordinary, robots as enemies, a beautiful day/night cycle. Unfortunately, it's not enough and we clearly can't recommend the game at this stage. The game is EMPTY and the action is too rare, and also the game has too many bugs.

    Impossible not to be disappointed after so long a wait. But when one witnesses the result, on will probably think that this cross-over wasn't meant to be. I love spaghetti, and I love chocolate spread, but with a little thinking, I wouldn't mix the two. Maybe that's how they should have contemplated this wedding between Layton and Wright. Even the brilliant production values, 3D transition and exquisite music are not enough to make us forget about the dull situations one has to repeat over and over again. It's the poorest of the Phoenix Wrights and the most laughable Layton.

    RAD, synonymous with "cool" in the 80s in English, is really not the appropriate title for this new Double Fine production. Difficult to understand the very proposition of this title, a rogue-like relatively tasteless while the market abounds with very successful productions of the same kind, that the 80's aesthetic worn until disgusting in recent years fails to save.

    We were waiting for this game passionately, and maybe with too many high hopes. But "It's About Time" is disappointing, and really, doesn't measure up to the legendary trilogy. There's no real excitement playing through this first episode, and it's quickly forgotten once finished. Now, let's pray that Telltale will be able to spice things up and reach the 88 mph bar with the next episode.

    Mario Sports Mix has a nice Wiimote gameplay, and both Volleyball and Dodgeball mini-games will grant you a nice and funny afternoon. But beyond that... with but four sports and repetitive game mechanics, the title seems to be a little stingy compared to Wii Sports Resort or the Mario & Sonic series. On the Wii, Mario Sports Mix comes only as the third wheel.

    With A Game of Thrones Genesis, Cyanide tackles too large a task for its own means, so disappointment ensues. Despite that, it's still the perfect licence to introduce fresh and new boardgames mechanics, and that helps to make it a nice multiplayer experience. But it still suffers from poor production values, ugly graphics, a lack of ambition, and unclear or insufficient visual cues as to what exactly is happening.

    Start the Party! is quite a good party-game, which uses the capabilities of the PlayStation Move very well. The problem is that we actually just can "start" a good party with it... You will quickly want to move on to something else, as it quickly becomes tiresome. Blame it on a glaring lack of events and game modes.

    Your children are in the mood for a get together at the carnival? This is the perfect title. In this magical atmosphere, there are dozens of little events such as rifle shooting or mini-bowling and basketball, as well as tickets to spend on balloons and other accessories. The PS Move controls are very accurate and the game is fun... but not for longer than an afternoon, given its lack of variety and really deep gameplay.

    For their first 360 game, the raving rabbids deliver a mixed experience. The augmented reality enabling the rabbids to spawn in your living-room is fun, but lacks precision. The main issue resides within the fact that those levels do not constitue the majority of the game, more classic ones are, and they lack originality and rythm. The animated styled mini-games are funny, but we've already seen much better with a wiimote in hand in Wario Ware.

    The most interesting part of King Arthur II the RPG remains the dark universe and interactive storytelling. The blend of RPG-diplomacy-strategy-management is nice, but a little confusing and not really help by the poor interface. Overall, it could be satisfying, if only it wasn't so full of bugs shattering the game. Crashes back to the desktop are frequent, and it really needs to be patched as soon as possible. Until then, stay away.

    There was so much to hope for from Monster of the Deep: its shimmering universe is pretty amazing once equipped with the PlayStation VR, and the game offers a beautiful walk in the land of Eos. Unfortunately, Square Enix's first virtual reality game misses the spot by falling short on ideas: the game repeats the same mechanics from start to bottom. Still, the idea of defeating a gigantic boss using a crossbow before shoeing him offers some satisfaction from time to time, but the adventure itself looks more like a storm in a teacup.

    Valkyria Azure Revolution is the spin-off no one was waiting for. Every component which made the Valkyria Chronicles saga so famous is absent from this bad "sequel". The graphics look awful on PS4, the casting is generic at best and its action-RPG mechanics are some of the worst we've ever seen in the last decade. Why would an action-RPG make you pause the game every time you want to use a skill? Why, SEGA ?

    If I were to recommend the game to a friend, I'd argue that it would be better to know, beforehand, that the production values and the playability really lack polish, before choosing to purchase it. It's so much so that it can, from time to time, completely ruin the experience. Despite this huge shortcoming, Amy has an atmosphere, stress-inducing and game world that are all powerful enough to overthrow the rest... if you're one to be hugely tolerant and really in need for a horror fix.

    Even though its game system works, and you're the type of gamer that is patient and motivated, Lord of Arcana doesn't win from the comparison with Monster Hunter, from which it draws most of its design without trying to conceal it. Let's be clear : it doesn't match its model, in terms of fun nor content or variety, nor even in terms of combat or richness. We'd need to completely forget about Capcom's franchise in order to enjoy Lord of Arcana despite its shortcomings.

    Dangerous Driving is like mini bikes experienced by the oldest of us. It's not super pretty, it's very simple and we still have nice moments with it. By cons, you don't want friends to see you with it. We can forgive its wanderings when we know that it is developed "in a garage" with very limited funds. But in this case, he must not claim such prestigious legacies as Burnout, for which we are still waiting for a successor to the excellent "Paradise" episode.

    Let's quickly sum it up: if you enjoyed the original Crackdown, no need to get this one, and certainly not for 60 euros. Aside from a few details, there's nothing new here, but the competitive multiplayer play. Which may, for a time, help raise the value of Crackdown 2, but not for long. Same city (but uglier), repetitive missions, endless brainless action, and a story you can write completely down and in details on a single Post-it. Yes, there is still the power grinding of the character to pursue, level after level, trophies / success to unlock, and various stuff to collect all over the city, but you know... been there, done that. And better, bigger, sexier at that, like in Just Cause 2 for example.

    Tiny price or not, there are flaws every game should avoid. Starting with bugs, and other gameplay approximations that spawn frustration, when they are not simply getting the player plain angry. And as you no doubt have guessed, Sniper Ghost Warrior has all those flaws. Even for 40 euros, I'd recommend one less game in your collection, but more money to buy the next real one, which will be undoubtedly be better. After all, it's not like quality First Person Shooters with an enjoyable sniping experience are an unrealistic expectation to have for upcoming action games.

As time passes by, I'm losing faster and faster any hope to see Telltale getting back on the right tracks. Afterall, the game does very well commercially, so why change it?     It may have "Super" in its title, but that's not how we'd describe this title. Extremely repetitive and plagued by a gameplay that's as deep as a dry pond, Super Pokémon Rumble is a one-button action game where you bash Pokémon toys in tiny areas to add them to your collection and benefit from their powers. Arena combats are available as well, but if the fans may see that as a simple yet enjoyable venting entertainment offer, most will see that as an underwhelming title designed to squeeze out some quick bucks out of an over-successful franchise. Guess where we stand.

    PONG Quest seems a first like a nice mix between the old-school Pong matches and the rogue-lite/dungeon crawler genres.     If Jackson and Spielberg seem to have won their gamble in adapting Tintin on the silver screen, sadly, it's not the case of Ubisoft for its game. Not that it's a bad game in itself, but this Tintin and its 2D gameplay is far too repetitive, and the 3D sequences on a plane or motorcycle aren't very convincing. If you top that with a 4 hours time to finish it (at the most), and despite a coop mode, nice musics and polished dialogs, you're in for a disappointment if you're looking for something on par with the movie, or the original comic books.

    The Nintendo Switch 2 made the choice to add Cyberpunk 2077 to its list of launch games, and this was clearly not a good idea. Unfortunately, it's neither good for the console, which we know is capable of much better, nor for the game, which we can't fully enjoy as it deserves. The game is ugly, no matter which mode you choose, and of the 4 possibilities for playing it, only one remains viable and will still require you to make major concessions: Performance mode with the console in its dock. For the rest, it's best to pass. It's a pity, because this version of Cyberpunk 2077 makes excellent use of the feature that transforms the Joy-Con into a mouse, the sensations are very good, and as a bonus it includes the Phantom Liberty DLC and all the updates released to date. It was ambitious, and well attempted, but it falls flat. Asking gamers for 70€ and telling them to make concessions, at the very launch of a new console, is just not possible. So avoid it, unless you really have no choice but to play the game for a very long time.

    Someday You'll Return looked promising and starts quite well. But quickly, due to some weird choices in terms of interactions, awful acting and a lot of bugs, it just turns into a disappointing and frustrating experience to which you'll never want to return.

    With this second episode, The Legacy of the First Blade knifes all the roleplay Ubisoft spent dozens of hours to build in a three-hour short and highly questionable story. Even the great battleships and a brand new weapon will not save Assassin's Creed Odyssey from this wrongly twisted cliffhanger that might disappoint most adventurers out there.

    How can one not to be disappointed at first with the usurpation of a name which had installed a new license aimed at a certain realism and insufficient core qualities to stay on track? PC3 can only find buyers with a discount in order to satisfy a certain curiosity. For everyone else, it stays on the side of the road and watches the others go by.

    Too bad. This 2013 edition does indeed solve one of the two main issues of the series by giving the players the possibility of choosing what lands to tap in critical situations, but the 10 decks are considerably less interesting to play than the ones of the 2012 edition, and it's still impossible to simply craft your own decks with the provided cards. Those two shortcomings would be easy to solve, but it seems the developers don't want to, either by stupidity or laziness.

    The idea of a remake is welcome, but Jagged Alliance Back in Action did it with serious shortcomings in terms of production values. The AI and pathfinding are sometimes completely off, the interface not really smooth, and it lacks tactical options... but despite all this it remains quite enticing, thanks to the charms of its background and a genre that is really not that common nowadays.

    Far from being a void attempt at the genre in digital form, Faery is charming thanks to its freshness and classic world revisiting the forgotten tales and legends. But it will will quickly show its limits to the RPG fans, because of its not-so-deep gameplay. Despite its limitations, Faery remains an interesting proposition, if you have already consumed all the must-have games of the downloadable offerings out there.

    The Reapers' invasion in Mass Effect 3 would have been a lot quicker without Shepard intervention in The Arrival DLC for ME2. This gap-bridging extension is very short, with a so-so story (a meteor with engines, didn't I see that somewhere already ?) and a focus on action, with quite a challenge at times. No interesting moral choice, nothing really fascinating in dialogues... Shepard does its inevitable job once again, and politicians will target him once more. Is that it? We could have done without it.

    A straight, if not rushed port of the Wii U version, that was already much less interesting than the 3D(S) episode in terms of content and gameplay. Thus Family Tennis SP doesn't have anything really special to offer, except its friendly style and somehow unusual "super" shots.

    Here's how to sum up Mafia II : 12 hours of repetitive, linear missions, with but a few gameplay mechanics. Shoot, drive, punch, a tiny little bit of stealth, that's it. There's nothing more to be done than to follow the unfolding of the plot, which is clearly sub-par, especially when considering how easy it is to watch a rerun of The Godfather or a season of the Sopranos instead. Replay value is nil, there's no multiplayer. You can't even roam freely in the city after the ending (what for anyway, one may ask). Combat is way to easy, cars don't provide much thrill. In the end, Mafia II is a very pretty box, but an empty one. 80% of what has been developed doesn't serve any real purpose. The rest isn't enough to make a great game. If you're a die hard fan of the 50's atmosphere (nicely rendered), and the Mafia genre, you might still enjoy it. Otherwise...

    Wheel of Ages is very simple to play, and the ascension of rotating wheels a good, if not original, idea. But its visuals are ugly to say the least, its music nerve breaking, and the level design doesn't succeed in keeping the interest of the player for long.

    I wanted to scare myself a little and chose Anna to do so, a first-person point & click game. But one may not really say that Anna's scary, and given that the story remains obnoxiously obscure, as do many puzzles, one does progress kind of blindfolded. Not really a success.

    And I feel like that’s the point of Main Assembly: if you think it’s possible, it probably is. Through experimentation and iteration (and a little patience), you can solve any problem the game throws at you. Much like its Early Access release, Main Assembly will learn from its mistakes and probably capture the hearts and minds of a fair few players along the way.
