If they hadn’t rushed this game to match the release of the movie, if they had ditched the driving, if they had cleaned up the camera a little, if they had given me the targeting ability of every other first person shooter in existence, and if they had let me play as one or more of the major characters rather than just a couple of second bananas, then they would have really had something.

It’s just the details of the game I didn’t get along with, all the unnecessary walking back and forth, and the general simplicity of the puzzles. So The Black Mirror earns a borderline recommendation from me.

If you're looking for a Silent Hill game or a deep RPG on your PS Vita, Book of Memories will only serve to whet your appetite for a title that will deliver.

Unfortunately, while Spider-Man: Edge of Time does a few things really well, it does more things wrong than it does right.

Some of the additions are commendable, particularly the player editor, improved statistics, free agency, and post-game wrap-ups, but this game just doesn’t feel like baseball.

The concept of taking on the LA streets to get your property back or restore your good name could’ve really gone a long way, but the spotty race mechanics, the absurd amount of traffic and a number of useless or nonsensical features makes L.A. Rush really run out of gas.

I liken Inside Pitch 2003 to a prospect whose been rushed to the big leagues. Sure, the potential for a star player is there, but the kid still needs to work on a few fundamentals before he can really make an impact on the rest of the league.

Samurai Western could've been one of the great beat-'em-ups, if it had a little more variety to its gameplay. Special stages, like a train chase or a level spent on horseback, would've been great; so would the ability to pick up new weapons, "Onimusha"-style.

Character growth? Unnerving realism? I don’t think so. And when you take away the sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll, figuratively and literally, the true gameplay is revealed as repetitive and uninspired.

So I'm (perhaps disappointed isn't the word because I come into tower defense games expecting so little) confused as to how the designers saw these elements coming together and didn't comprehend the problems they would cause in actual game play. I also have to confess a long-held desire to see a game that is like tower defense only reversed, where you get to be the invader. DoA has that, and I'm left contemplating that old axiom about getting what you wish for.

Only buy it if this sort of game overly appeals to you, or if you’re a guy and naked computer women turn you on.

There are some great elements and firefight sequences in Conflict: Vietnam but you just don’t see them enough. And when you do, it’s sometimes offset by other factors that ultimately mire Conflict: Vietnam’s better traits into gameplay quagmire. Instead of an exciting battle, you find yourself slogging through the game.

If you can look past the iffy graphics, Drakengard 2 has a lot to enjoy. The fighting is fun and has enough variety to avoid monotony, so give it at least a cursory look.

While it may be too late for Ninja Gaiden 3 to be salvaged, perhaps Team Ninja and Tecmo should consider a "fire-sale" approach and try to sell the rights to all further titles to Itagaki over at Valhalla and see if he can salvage the legacy.

A disappointment. Though the gameplay is okay, it's nothing special, and despite the awesome license this game possesses, it’s sure to grate on anyone after a few hours.

With very few improvements on the classic "Dynasty Warriors" formula, like the new and improved weapons, the seventh episode will appeal only to loyal fans of the series.

The combat in the game is underdeveloped, unimaginative, repetitive, and simply not fun.

I’m happy that Iridium Studios continues to try new and unusual things, and I’ll even say that when the audio interface actually worked for me, it made the missions feel much more involving (perhaps because it made them feel more like multiplayer missions). But the game was far too short and far too broken for me to recommend it.

It looks great and promising but in the end, it's like the ten-minute sequence we saw in the film-merely a glimpse of what could be done.

Taking out large defensive structures may be easy, but building them from scratch is a chore, especially since the current interface doesn't promote it.

Control of the players, and the actual balance of the game, is abysmal. The first indicator of this is with the control scheme for the game, which is automatically set.

I'm really surprised how poorly Ghost Recon 2 for the PlayStation 2 turned out. Uninspiring level design, terrible squad AI and minimal multiplayer support all contribute to a frustrating and ultimately dull gaming experience.

It really comes down to what the player expects or wants from the experience. If you are a fan of the show/books and you simply want to inhabit two random men as they make their way through the Game of Thrones universe, this fits the bill quite nicely.

Worth checking out, if only as a rental, just to bust a gut over the hilarious cut-scenes. Fans of the show will find a lot to like here but those looking for something fun to play will want to look elsewhere.

A good-looking game that should've focused on one thing above all others. It might've been a good four-player arena combat game; it could've done all right as a mission-based beat-'em-up; and it's just barely possible that this might've worked as a 3D platformer starring Marvel's characters. As a game that tries to be all of those things at once, it's about as fun as gargling mayonnaise.

The tone, the foreboding mood, and the massive amounts of action that you’ll undergo can make up for its shortcomings. Science fiction fans will probably eat this one up.

There is almost nothing good about the game, and, in fact, it’s one of the rare games I’ve played where I actually got mad at the ending. So if you notice some extra venom in this review, it’s because I’m writing it right after finishing the game.
