If you're a big LBP fan then it might be worth it, but if you've played ModNation Racers, I don't think the slight makeover is enough to warrant a full price tag.

It's not deep enough. For starters, there isn't enough depth in the turn-based strategy portion.

At $30, Shades of Darkness seems dramatically overpriced. I’d recommend that you wait until the price drops down to about half of that amount (which will probably happen sooner rather than later) and for a patch or two to come out.

A lack of tactile speed, a complicated upgrade system and a number of useless features makes SRS much more of a rental for hardcore driving fans only than a must have.

Overall, the Amazing Spider-Man succeeds at offering a great story, but fails at accomplishing its goal of making you feel like Spidey.

A disappointment. I liked Tilted Mill’s first offering, Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile, much more, and it’s odd how they could go from a unique and interesting game to one so completely bland and generic.

It’s a little boring and it’s a little easy and it’s a little basic, but if you’ve never tried the city-building genre before, then you might find it to be of some value. However, if you’re familiar with the genre at all, then you might as well skip Imperium Romanum, because you’ve already played better versions of it.

Some of the missions are downright easy because enemy gangs will just sit in their territory and wait for you to kill them, and then in other missions the enemies appear to cheat (getting gang members for free, starting with their territory already taken over), and they’re next to impossible.

All of its bugs certainly put a damper on things, but the pace of the game also seems to be much slower, and the activities seem much more repetitive than they were before (the daily council meetings in particular are a real killer).

In a season of really great shooters, Kane & Lynch is pretty much a dud. It’s sort of a style over substance kind of game, except the style isn’t even terribly impressive. The substance, what there is of it, amounts to a fairly so-so action game that’s kind of short.

GameCube owners beware as Armageddon has been reported to lock up frequently on that system. Lock up or no lock up, though, non-fans are looking at an attractive but typical third person action game.

The biggest issue that hampers the overall enjoyment of the game is it’s finicky and unresponsive gameplay. There is a noticeable delay between the time you hit a button to the time the on-screen wrestler actually performs the move.

Omerta is the sort of game where if you want to play it at all, you should wait for it to drop well below the $40 price where it is now.

I commend the developers for trying something new with the first-person viewpoint and for giving Wii owners a decent firefighting game. Unfortunately, it's not an exceptional one, and while this is a well-made game in a lot of ways, it is hurt by its very sterile look, poor graphics, and control issues.

My last civil war title was "Sid Meier’s Antietam." Antietam may have taken some liberty with the authenticity license but it was real-time, easy to grasp and exciting to play even for a novice. Unfortunately, my experience with ACWG did not measure up to that classic.

I think the game would have been much better off concentrating on two or three well developed ghost stories rather than the dozen or so passably interesting ones that are in the game now.

An interesting attempt to integrate videogames, music, dance, and you into a single package, but ultimately fails to leave much of an impression after the first few hours of play.

And so my guess is, if you play A Vampyre Story exactly the way the developer intended, and if you don’t encounter any bugs or sloppiness, then you’ll have a lot of fun. But if you keep having problems, and if you keep struggling with puzzles, not because you can’t figure them out, but because the engine isn’t working properly, then each bug / mistake / badly designed puzzle will drain a little bit of fun from the game, until, perhaps, there isn’t any left. It’s just a question of whether you want to take the risk or not.

For what the game is trying to do, it is reasonably good – it just lacks content. As a result, it is technically okay, but falls short in major ways. The combat doesn’t feel satisfying, and there’s no thrill of victory since everything has to end in the same kind of attack every single time. The game looks good-ish at times, but also has some parts that look slapped together and not quite fully-formed just yet. The whole game feels like a bad rough draft that is being showcased as a final product – and it’s a shame. The concept of an all-female SNK fighter has potential – but Gals Fighter remains the best overall to enjoy that core concept.

The disappointing part of Armageddon is its length and its lack of variety. You won't get too much playing time to see the visuals and there is no compelling reason, apart from aesthetic appreciation, to revisit some of the locales.

Telltale is always good with their production values, so Story Mode looks like Minecraft and sounds excellent (with Patton Oswalt among others doing a nice job with their lines), but the story and gameplay elements are iffy at best.
