As for the heads up matchup with the 2K Sports series, NBA Live sinks the buzzer beater as time expires to steal the win this season. Live’s play mechanics and in-depth gameplay features surpass the competition in the heated battle for hoops supremacy in ’09. Without much debate Live ‘09 delivers the best all around NBA game this year.- Game Chronicles

I've loved every minute I've spent with Shank 2 since I downloaded it, and I can't wait to replay and revisit my favorite levels whenever I need to blow off some steam. The game is just so much fun and so outrageously over-the-top that you can't help but become addicted. I'm taken back to my early arcade days of Double Dragon or Street Fighter, only now I get much cooler weapons, lots more blood, stunning visuals and sound, and a whole lot of attitude. Shank is the ultimate badass and that's how I feel every time I play Shank 2.- Game Chronicles

Neversoft has done what I would have thought impossible a month ago. They actually created a game that sold me on the sport of skateboarding, at least in video game format.- Game Chronicles

Owners of the original won't find any new gameplay levels, but they might enjoy the precise analog-based input the PSP and PS3 sticks provide.- Game Chronicles

Diehard fans will definitely want to check the game out, but they are also the ones who are most likely to come away slightly disappointed. And if you aren't a legacy Soulcalibur fight veteran, you may want to just rent or wait for a price drop. There are a few more fighting games coming this year and Soulcalibur V has left plenty of room for improvement.- Game Chronicles

At the mere mention of the name Final Fantasy IV, I was all over the opportunity to review this game. This is one of my favorite Final Fantasy of all time and easily one of the greatest RPGs ever made. It has memorable characters, awesome music and a story that is truly exceptional. You would be crazy not to pick up the Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection for PSP. Doesn't matter if you've played it a few times or a hundred, this is a RPG for the ages.- Game Chronicles

Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood has quickly become my favorite game of 2009, and with future DLC on its way, it’s not going back on the shelf anytime soon.- Game Chronicles

This game takes all of the best elements from pen & paper war gaming and combines it with fun and exciting graphics and sound and even gives you old school options like PBM.- Game Chronicles

There is no denying that EA has made good on the Godfather license and created an inspired game that should give the boys at Rockstar a few good ideas for their next GTA.- Game Chronicles

In talking about this game and writing this review I wish I could say I was talking about all the great features it has, but instead I find myself dismissing it for what it is not. It's not FIFA 11. Top down, FIFA 11 is just the better soccer game. But if you like customization and all kinds of user created content, the possibilities are endless.- Game Chronicles

Singularity arrived with very little fanfare, which is a shame because this is a very good game. I highly recommend Singularity to fans of FPS games and great science fiction stories.- Game Chronicles

MotorStorm: Apocalypse is essentially a 20+ hour experience of non-stop WOW moments. If Michael Bay were making video games then this is the game he would be making, so if you love that epic style of cinematic destruction and global disaster combined with intense competitive racer AI and purely instinctive and reflexive gameplay then take one final spin through San Francisco before the city and your race tracks sink into the ocean.- Game Chronicles

The Last Guy is a fun and quirky title that took me by total surprise. It has the look of a next-gen title with all of the gameplay and audio elements of something you might have played on your Atari 2600.- Game Chronicles

Whether you are looking for an action-focused single-player war game or a fantastic multiplayer experience that rivals those Tom Clancy titles, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a masterful bit of game design. They managed to put just enough single-player elements in to keep the game fun for the solo players while keeping everything intact for the online warriors.- Game Chronicles

I don't care what you read anywhere else. This is a MUST HAVE game for anyone who likes music and owns a PS2. Admit it; at one time in your life you fancied yourself a drummer, beating on pots and pans or anything else that made noise. Now you can live out those fantasies and actually sound pretty good doing it.- Game Chronicles

When I initially reviewed this game for the PC I found it to be one of the most engaging and addicting titles I had ever played, and thankfully, Wik: Fable of Souls not only holds up under the pressure of steep 360 competition; it actually expands that addiction with new levels, new modes, intuitive console controls, and some of the best gameplay $5 can buy.- Game Chronicles

Despite having no real online or real-time multiplayer, Burnout Crash is totally addicting and lends itself perfectly to that "just one more time" mentality that is perfect for mobile gaming. And for only $5, this is a far better value than the XBLA version.- Game Chronicles

There’s still room for improvement – THAW isn’t quite as wide open as we’d hoped – and it will be interesting to see where Neversoft takes the series on the next-generation consoles. For now, though, THAW is plenty hot.- Game Chronicles
