Prototype is well worth it and definitely a must have game for any action fan whether it’s on the PC or a console system.

Great graphics and a breathtaking soundtrack put it right at the top of the 2003 holiday heap. Everything in this game comes together beautifully.

As chess games go, Chessmaster is top notch. I was surprised at the challenge and excitement I felt playing Chessmaster. But after a while, it becomes work to play against the AI and until the Xbox Live portion begins to build steam, it's not going to keep me coming back.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is still the definitive golf game out there, mostly because it's the only golf game out there, mini-golf not withstanding.

For everyone else who has at least one friend with a PSP and a copy of the game, this is a must-own title that will keep you locked in the throes of classic auto-combat until you, your PSP, or you car runs out of gas.

In many ways, NHL 06 really could be considered the best console hockey game to ever hit the ice – that is, if it weren't for the handful of glaring issues that have been with the game for years and EA simply refuses to address, not the least of which is EA's poor integration of online play through Xbox Live.

For hardcore baseball simulation fans, I have no problem recommending MLB Power Pros 2008 – but for families looking for an extension of Nintendo’s incredible Wii Sports, I would recommend looking towards titles like Little League World Series 2008 or Mario Super Sluggers that fully embrace the Wii’s model and functionality.

Yes, It would be nice to have more classic teams, but otherwise everything in this game just speaks volumes about the dedicated development team.

What the game lacks in AI, balance, and vehicle control it more than makes up for with sheer originality, realistic fire, complex missions, and a level of authenticity only achieved through the collaboration with an international fire consultant.

I loved the new control scheme that literally allows you to draw your moves, zip to buildings, and engage in exciting combat. There is a great story, colorful graphics, and just a fun time to be had with this latest Spidey title.

Marble Blast Ultra is easy to learn and simple to play, but the increasingly difficult progression of puzzles always manage to throw something new and challenging your way with each new level.

A must-own expansion for tycoon-style gamers, especially if you bought RCT3. It improves the original game enough that you will love the changes, without having to fight the whole new learning curve of the menus again.

Mirror’s Edge is a title that I will not soon forget. In an industry full of sequels and non original ideas, Mirror’s Edge dares to challenge the way we experience first person titles as well as video games as a whole.

Their simplistic yet challenging gameplay make them enjoyable even today as they did over 20 years ago. If you’re a fan of old-school gaming or have never played either of these titles then I highly recommend picking up Final Fight: Double Impact as soon as you can.

Spectacular kill sequences, a cool plot, cooler weapons and great levels all contribute to make this game the best of the Tenchu series, and one of the best first-person stealth games on the market.

A hand-cramping jam on the DS. It looks great, plays great, and has enough meat to keep gamers happy long after the holiday hangover has worn off.

Though it has its frustrating moments, Nancy Drew: Legend of the Crystal Skull is generally an enjoyable adventure game, as well as a more satisfying title than the three games before it.

So if you like to shoot fancy lasers, beam, and pulse weapons, explore strange planets, bounce around the outer hull of the Enterprise, wade through murky swamps, jump across lakes of bubbling lava, or sneak through the gutted remains of a drifting Starship then look no further.

Traxxpad is an interesting application for creating songs or techno sounding beats. There is something here if you’re interested in creating music on your PSP but this is not for the quick and easy music buff.

As long as you have a spare battery or a power outlet handy Tiger Woods PGA Tour is still a fantastic game, and easily the most realistic simulation of the sport you can play on a handheld. It manages to capture and bring over just about every element from the console version and pack it into the palm of your hand.
