Shock Troopers is a classic that will resonate with the players who have a big case of nostalgia for this game. It keeps up with the test of time when played on its two-player mode but beyond that, some of its gameplay feels anachronistic and stands in the way of making it a more enjoyable classic to most players beyond the circle of connoisseurs who know what they are getting.- FNintendo

A great improvement over its predecessor, Steel Diver: Sub Wars is successful at putting the player in a submarine environment, recreating several aspects of these vessels within the boundaries set by the 3DS. The overall short length of its one player mode and the lack of options on multiplayer mode end up becoming obstacles on its route, but this is a title that will not disappoint.- FNintendo

Thanks to its action elements and especially to its time mechanics, Time Recoil is an interesting game that brings an original and welcome experience to the catalog of the Nintendo Switch. While its graphics may be too simplistic and its plot not more than a motif to justify the game's action, Time Recoil brings very good action moments and it's a proposal that is very well suited to short gaming sessions.- FNintendo

EarthNight does not stray clear from its origins, this is a simple and unpretentious endless runner that originated in mobile platforms and it does a decent job at that. While the gameplay experience is rather limited and does not elevate EarthNight to any celestial levels, those who enjoy endless runners will find a good time with this work.- FNintendo

With an impressive array of characters and events, Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists is very likely to appeal to those who want to see more of Atelier characters and even if the game may feel repetitive and confusing at some moments, there's enough here to keep fans entertained for some time.- FNintendo

Hyrule Warriors: Legends is a good conversion from the Wii U's Zelda-inspired fighting game and it brings an enormous amount of content and gameplay that can easily go into one hundred hours. It's difficult to understand, however, why there is no multiplayer in this version and the lack of a cross save feature will frustrate many who have already gone through the Wii U original.- FNintendo

Team Ogre Attacks is another competent and fairly appealing title in the not-so-common style of sports RPGs, this time in a game adapted from an animation movie. Nevertheless, its new content is not groundbreaking enough to the point of justifying its purchase, at least for those who already own another version of Inazuma Eleven 3.- FNintendo

Sumico tries to make a fun effort out of mathematical operations but too often, its gameplay limitations run the risk of discouraging all but the most dedicated players to pursue onto the next set of levels.- FNintendo

It’s true that Mercenaries Saga 2 is not a trailblazer and does not reinvent the wheel of tactical RPGs, its main virtues lie elsewhere: it acts as a very welcoming starting point for those who have just awakened to the genre and its battles offer a wide variety of interactions that are certain to satisfy the enthusiasts who like to fully explore their games.- FNintendo

Level 22 brings an original concept implemented through interesting mechanics. Its visual environment is comical and overall appealing to the eye, but its musical counterpart falls behind expectations. While Level 22 is entertaining it's not free from falling into a pattern of repetition.- FNintendo

Fairune 2 is a sequel that follows its predecessor on all the right tracks, keeping what made the original a pleasant experiences and extending its lifespan. What works for some might not work for all, though, and for players looking for something more groundbreaking than the original this will not deliver, which does not mean that its creative combat system and rich audiovisual component will fall short of the players' expectations, because it won't.- FNintendo

Yo-kai Watch 2 may be too similar to the original at some points but that's not an obstacle in the way of this being a quality sequel that delivers on what is expected or even towards becoming the best game of the Yo-kai series. Its immense content will keep players interested for well over one hundred hours of play and its online multiplayer combats are a very welcome addition to the series, even if the combat system in the regular one-player mode may feel too passive at times.- FNintendo

Keeping itself faithful to the spirit of the original rather than to its casing, Blaster Master Zero brings the original classic to today's world while keeping the main tenets of its identity intact. This is a nostalgic experience that is not afraid to use some contemporary clothing and which fully satisfies its purpose of recreating a successful 2D experience, even if its difficulty level might suggest otherwise.- FNintendo

80's Overdrive is a fun and enjoyable arcade-style racing game that will certainly resonate with long-time fans of this style. Its main flaws lie mostly on the lack of a multiplayer mode and a gameplay that sometimes may feel a bit frustrating but overall, the experience is rewarding and well worthy of the player's time.- FNintendo

Hammerwatch is set to strike a chord with fans of retro-style adventure games that feature plenty of action and a solid multiplayer experience. While its solo mode may not be the zenith of the experience, the local multiplayer mode has plenty to entertain its players and the game's overall fluidity and competent visuals add up to an experience that will find its place with many players.- FNintendo

Joggernauts is an extremely challenging and at the same time, accessible work which will prove to be immediately absorbing for any players - with emphasis on the plural - who grab a Joy-Con and jump into it. Rival Megagun joins the growing numbers of retro-styled shoot'em ups on the Nintendo Switch catalogue and adds a whole new dimension to the experience: a gameshow component, after shooting aliens. This makes for an interesting main game mode, despite the game's appeal being rather limited for solo experiences. Overall the multiplayer component is more attractive than going solo and it's only legitimate to expect that the game's online community will grow in the near future.- FNintendo

Probably the closest experience to an interactive literary short story, Distraint will stimulate the most unsettling feelings in every player that spends some time with it and thanks to its brilliant conjugation of plot, audiovisual environment and gameplay experience, this game is unquestionably an instant classic for the current generation.- FNintendo

The level editor is an excellent choice to add to the game and the possibility to download its version released for the other console upon purchase is a welcoming sign from Nintendo. It could improve, though, by showing more original content when compared to its predecessors.- FNintendo

Tengami brings forth the ever-more present question of where does art end and the game begin, or vice-versa. A stunning looking graphical environment and an involving soundtrack do not make up for a slow and dull pace, a very limited gameplay and the lack of experience for the player.- FNintendo

Beat Cop is a fun and zany action game that puts the player in a cliché 1980s action movie setting and does a fine job at that. Its missions can get confusing and repetitive at certain moments but the game's mechanics and environment are noting short of delightfully funny and are certain to keep the players laughing and enjoying the experience for some time.- FNintendo

As with any regular 1980s arcade game, Space Harrier 3D's longevity derives from the circumstances of the coin-op machines it comes from, leading to a very small long-term appeal. Technically it respects the original work, although the 3rd dimension makes very little difference in this promised 3D re-edition. This is one game to be kept in mind by those looking for a typical 1980s-style arcade shooter.- FNintendo

Shining Resonance Refrain brings an RPG from the previous generation into the Nintendo Switch catalogue and while the game is full of content and features well-crafted characters and a simple battle system, it also fails to fulfil all expectations due to its cliché-ridden plot and less motivating exploration. RPG fans will still draw a valuable experience from this but Shining Resonance Refrain doesn't really stand out from other similar games already available.- FNintendo

INVERSUS Deluxe is a fun game that is quick to get into and provides a good multiplayer experience. A first person shooter with a roguelike structure might sound unusual but RICO manages to join the two in a fun and competent way on the Nintendo Switch, resulting in a game that works wonders in short gaming sessions. Being an accessible work, RICO is also a game that will last its players a long time, thanks to its varied content, while the local and online multiplayer will further cement its qualities as an enjoyable FPS in the Nintendo Switch catalogue.- FNintendo

Picross e5 is a good starting point if you’re a newcomer to the series or if you’re already a Picross fanatic looking for your next puzzle fix. However, because Jupiter Games didn’t even try to bring anything new to the table this time around, those looking for some innovation in this version will most likely end up disappointed.- FNintendo

Its experience ends up suffering from a control system that makes no use of the Nintendo Switch touch screen, however, and the game's interface is everything but intuitive. Beyond that and its unusual premise, which is likely to keep less experienced players away, Megaquarium is worthy of a look.- FNintendo
