Colorful, intuitive, deep and incredibly fun, Mario Tennis Aces is truly something for everyone, from casual newcomers to seasoned hardcore gamers. You'll certainly love its unique arcade soul and its rewarding gameplay (especially in multiplayer), yet you'll also regret its disappointing single player components.

The two narrative lines remain a bit too superficial, without ever deepen the ideas that would have deserved more.

In 2018 it should be unthinkable, for example, to publish a game with the multiplayer mode not implemented (even today it is hidden behind a little reassuring sign "Coming soon") or without the chance to play a double, neither against the AI, nor in multiplayer.

The team has made very little progress in those aspects that could have turned the title into a reference product for the cooperative shooter.

But the point is another: in its worst form, that console, Agony is not Agony. It is a shapeless monster from which you should look away.
