No news from the Hack'n'slash battlefront: repetitious action in a wonderful fantasy world. The control scheme works well even on the Pad, online Co-Op helps the replay value.

Enchanted Folks is not just an Animal Crossing clone: Konami has successfully upgraded the classic formula of the great Nintendo game. An interesting setting and a few innovative ideas make this game very solid. Despite of the name, unfortunately it lacks a little bit of "magic" and a wider world area.

Patapon 2 is not the title we wanted. The team left the gameplay unchanged and repetitive on the level design; the enitre game looks like an add-on of the previous title instead of a new one. The positive points are the new upgrade system of our army, a good multiplayer mode, and an improved longevity, but the game it's always the same.

A perfect remake: shiny graphics and some new contents that increase replay value. Still, is a game from 1997, some puzzles are too "childish" and the main adventure don't last more than 5 hours.

Broken Steel is a recommended DLC for Fallout 3, that brings some good patches to the original story, first of all the open-ended final. Other good news: new powerful equipment, new hours of play, and the possibility to level up again the character. All for 800 MP.

The new Play Control version has no rhythm and no soul. Resolute players should somehow try to find the GameCube edition.

A good action game, one of the best Tie-in of this year. A real funny and various gameplay with a fair graphics compartment.

Velvet Assassin could have been a better game. It has a solid approach to the genre, but a limping AI and frustrating shooter sessions reveal the limited experience of the developer team. You can try it if you're a great stealth fan.

Endless Frontier will upset all the fans of Super robot Taisen, 'cause of the twists in the main structure. But, after all, is a good Role Play Game, with a perfect battle system and a good screenplay. So, you can forgive the clumsy plot and the graphical issues.

In the end Free Realms doesn't show anything really deep or innovative compared to what we can find in other similar games, but it's still a good way to have a first approach to an overly played genre like MMOs, collecting and presenting to the customer a great deal of minigames that can offer something different for each time we log in.

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce tries to refresh the saga but a new online mode is not enough to do that. Srikeforce is a hack 'n slash with only one purpose: slash furiously between ranks of defensless enemies pushing only the same two buttons. Playing with a friend may be funny, but the solo mode soon become boring.

Old-style gameplay for a new and fresh graphical adventure. The solid plot is linked with a serious reflection about human nature, and in this standardized videogame market, Cryostasis shines.

KOEI misses the target again. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 is the same game as the others Dynasty Warriors: Gundam series of the past. Old gameplay old graphics, a boring game that even a Gundam's superfan will not enjoy.

Zeno Clash is not a perfect game, but it has got some qualities that will let you help to download that from Steam or Direct2Drive. It is essentially hybrid, between FPS and Beat'em up. The visual aspect is impressive and the story is well built. The system control is defective and the game is short, so we can't suggest you to buy it blind, but to try the demo and make your choice.

Dark Spire is a game enjoyable only by classic RPG super fans. It's a tough dungeon crawler, with a very classic and tactic gameplay (maybe too much), and good music. Unfortunately the setting is just one city, with one huge dungeon.

This version of Dokapon Journey does not add anything to the previous wii game. Indeed the game experience is more boring and repetitive. If you like RPGs on DS you may look for something better.

A refreshing game, deep and complex, but suitable even for new gamers. It has cool graphics even if the engine is light, and the only issue regards the lack of a real "solo mode". Developed specifically for a multiplayer experience, Demigod is a new approach to the genre.

RagDoll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is a nice game that can give players hours of carefree fun, but only in multiplayer mode. Fists of Plastic is an innovative beat 'em up, with gamplay good both for novice and hardcore players. Recommended if you love innovation, originality and to play with your friends.

Bad graphic, bad gameplay, bad music; this game is the ordinary low-quality tie-in. Evolution is a totally poor bet 'em up. Just don't buy it.

Assault on Dark Athena is a great new adventure for Riddick. Gameplay mechanics are still exemplary, mixing together FPS and adventure game, and the setting is quite peculiar. Obviously, the HD version of Escape from Butcher Bay makes the DVD a great bargain for the player.

Fortunately, not just a GTA clone. The strategic interaction with your personal "crew" and with the city add a nice twist to the classic Free Roaming mechanics. And the plot is good enough.

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust fails reproducing the original spirit of Leisure Suit series. It fails from a technological and artistic point of view too, with tasteless humor and poor graphic. Variety is the only good aspect of the game, with some good sets and a high number of minigames, but it isn't enough to make it a good game.

The minigames are too simple and repetitious. The input system doesn't work well. The whole structure is the same as the first two "Cooking" games, with a botanic twist that doesn't renew a childish gameplay.

Neversoft astonished everyone with an expansion equipped with all the features of a complete game. The introduction of the astonishing Expert+ mode and the tweakings about the career mode and the gameplay made Guitar Hero Metallica a "must have" for every gamer. The songs of the californian band seems to have been written perfectly to fits the Guitar Hero game structure and to involve the player completely. It's a pity that everything good in the game does not apply to the "non-Metallica" songs in the tracklist.

One of the worst games of the first quarter of 2009. Strategic aspect is poor, the whip selection system is a total failure, Hud is complicated. Ugly unit design, and a creepy graphical engine. Creative Assemply should focus on Total War and forget other experiments.
