You know the game, and the good thing is that on Xbox One it works well, thanks to a good optimization.

As Zero Dawn's natural evolution, Horizon Forbidden West accomplishes what a sequel should achieve: reaching new heights. Guerrilla Games builds a great world, perfecting every aspect of the first episode.

One cannot fail to point out the significant achievements achieved by the team of development in terms of fluidity and optimization, through which it was possible to enrich a package that, even if only for the amount of content offered, would deserve a place in the collection of any videogame player.

Thanks to an intense storytelling, a thrilling plot, and a redefined multiplayer, Black Ops is the best Call of Duty developed by TreyArch studio, and one of the most interesting chapter ever. Year after year, this great series keeps on arousing a huge amount of videoplayers.

Deathloop is an original, visionary and courageous work, a playful experiment that returns to reaffirm the unquestionable talent of the Arkane Studios team, which over the years has never stopped putting itself to the test with ever new challenges, often at odds with the commercial logic of the triple A market. The result of the studio's latest creative challenge is a brilliant exercise in game design, at the base of a multifaceted and compelling playful narrative construct, blessed with an absolutely majestic artistic direction. Deathloop is a unique game of its kind, which unfortunately is torn from excellence by some rather important flaws. First of all, a surprisingly lazy and anticlimatic conclusion, which ends up revealing some evident gaps in the script. Even on the playful side, not everything works perfectly, especially due to an artificial intelligence that is not very reactive and too erratic. Net of its missteps, however, Deathloop remains a memorable work, a jumble of style and creativity probably destined to become an instant cult.

Despite a less than brilliant pace, The Talos Principle 2 manages to strengthen the formula of its predecessor, offering fans of the genre not a simple puzzle game, but rather a work designed to offer a mature and engaging experience, capable of keeping people moving your mind even after you move away from the screen.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is a real surprise. If you thought that the fighting game genre had run out of steam with Street Fighter 6, think again: the year of fighting games ends with a surprise twist. Impeccable netcode, Crossplay and rich single player content are just part of the numerous advantages of this production. If you are a newbie and want to enter the world of fighting games with a graphically clean product, with little chaos and no lengthy movelists, this is the title for you. Absolutely worth trying at least in the free version.

Metroid Dread is an experience that is at times deeply enjoyable and yet imperfect at the same time. MercurySteam certainly did not lack the courage to take risks, proposing new ideas, exceptional dynamism and surprising horror veins: elements that fit coherently within a winning formula, tested over the last thirty-five years. A few too many smudges - probably the result of a production not up to the height of Nintendo's heavyweights - however, end up making the whole thing miss: with some extra ideas, less repetition and a little more character in artistic terms, the result could have been be different and even more rounded. However, it is always fascinating to find Samus on our screens, in a franchise that deserves more than it usually gets (starting with the Big N).

The Stanley Parable is the “Being John Malkovich” of video games, a complex and shapeless digital creature, that we will play over and over again, sometimes staying with raised eyebrows and a sea of questions, with the only certainty of having experienced something as much surreal as poetic.

By carefully mixing the most successful features of Monster Hunter: World, the "classic" structure of the old episodes, as well as a tasty roundup of novelties and sensational improvements to the quality of life, such as the Canyne and the wire insects, the Tsujimoto team he managed to synthesize an almost perfect play formula.

Battlefield 1 is a monumental shooter. Putting "aside" the Single Player campaign (fun, varied and spectacular but very short), the strengh of the production is obviously represented by the PvP. His large-scale battles are an experience that all multiplayer fans should try.

All things considered, what you find in front of you when you start the remake of Paper Mario - The Thousand-Year Portal is an even more refined and pleasant to look at version of the title that appeared on the GameCube two decades ago. Regardless of whether you played it or not at the time, if you are passionate about the world of Nintendo, Mario or role-playing games in general, this is the proverbial experience that cannot be missing from any gamer's baggage.
