Resonance of Fate, despite its overwhelming difficulty, is a splendid example of how a classic structure can meet fresh situations and stories.

Disney Illusion Island is a good family entertainment title, with the addition of up to four player co-op making the experience even more immersive. On the other hand, the basic repetitiveness is very evident in the first part of the adventure, except to recover in the second part, at the end of the entire journey. The playful flatness of the four characters, net of the pleasant visual differentiations, weakens the inventiveness of a smooth and pleasant gameplay. With a little forethought and added depth, Disney Illusion Island could have been so much more magical.

BPM: Bullets per Minute responds to that nostalgia that all lovers of rhythmic games have long cherished, placing itself - with an exuberant, but thoughtful combination of solutions - halfway between a first-person shooter and a roguelike.

With an adventure that reaches the longevity of over fifty hours if you decide to unlock every single secret, the Age of Calamity succeeds in the intent it seems to have set itself, while suffering some noteworthy technical stumbling: clearing a gaming experience. remained overshadowed today and add a piece to the narrative world of Breath of the Wild that could enrich the story of the expected sequel from Nintendo.

Hironobu Sakaguchi's last great undertaking, Fantasian: Neo Dimension reminded us of the reasons why we loved the father of Final Fantasy and his conception of JRPG, without however equaling the greatness of his most successful titles. Both the historical flaws recorded in the original version, such as the poor characterization of the antagonists, the verbosity of the dialogues or the inconsistent balance of the difficulty, and the problems encountered in the re-release, such as the drops in frame rate and the long loading times that currently afflict the Nintendo Switch version, weigh heavily on the final evaluation of the product, which nevertheless remains solid and enjoyable. We recommend recovering it to true fans of the genre.

Warlock: Master of the Arcane is a well-packed turn-based strategy game, with a deep and captivating gameplay. Still, the lack of a structured campaign and of the multiplayer mode is a big letdown, and the graphical engine does not shine.

At the end of the credits all that remains is the regret for a very reduced longevity, which leaves us with the desire to discover more deeply the story drafted by David S. Goyer.

Seven years after the launch of Lost Dimension, FuRyu and the Lancarse studio are back on the scene to impress JRPG fans with dark-hued tactics. Although the influence of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona 5 in particular is evident on the narrative level, MONARK has won us over with a dramatic, crazy and sometimes brutal story, as well as able to make us reflect on the most hidden and primitive desires of mankind. So put aside any skepticism related to the almost unknown name of the Japanese developer and let yourself be overwhelmed by MONARK's excellent turn-based combat system: you'll go crazy!

What is missing, however, is perhaps that special twist, that extra momentum of creativity capable of giving a truly memorable body and structure to the title: who knows what paradox, considering the total absence of the creepy protagonist's backbone.

Francisco returns on the scene with another metroidvania, adding, in order to renew the genre, rogue-like elements. The result is satisfying but imperfect, especially as regards the balance. It represents a shooter inspired exponent of the genre, with a slight irony that lies underneath and involves the player. If you’re a fan, you’d better have a look at it.

RIDE is an interesting first step in a new direction for Milestone. The racing experience truly speaks of passion for amateur motorbike racing, and does so bestowed with good AI and a convincing handling system. It's a shame that console and PC versions show a wide gap in graphics and playability, and there's still work to be done on the presentation and the collision system.

The small smudges reported up to this point do not compromise the experience as a whole. In the approximately 10 hours of gameplay required for completion, to which another handful is added to complete all the secondary ones left open, Tails of Iron constantly keeps the player's attention high, just like Redgi's shield. We are far from the complexity of a full-fledged souls-like, but the production of Odd Bug represents an engaging, at times exhilarating challenge, which will certainly keep even the most demanding players busy.

Net of some lightness, which concerns both the technical and the gaming sectors, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft is a value package, which will not fail to accompany fans of the first hour on a pleasant walk down memory lane. Players less accustomed to the harshness of games of the past (we're talking about almost thirty years ago), may however find the gameplay of the trilogy rather indigestible. Since this is a collection of remasters, we cannot help but appreciate Aspyr Media's work, which earns a place among the most successful works of the British studio.

Imperfect but fascinating in terms of style and themes, the INTERIOR / NIGHT adventure wants to tell a lot, and it succeeds in a somewhat discontinuous way. The multiplayer experience is also a valid addition, on a par with what has been seen with the recent Supermassive-branded productions. The plurality of points of view, the never too obvious moral paths and the courage to change the register several times, combined with a graphic novel take, are the cornerstones of a convincing work, yet not fully amalgamated in all its parts. However, this is only the beginning for the team led by Caroline Marchal, and we are sure that the next choices that the collective will make will be more focused than those experienced in As Dusk Falls, whose story may still have something to tell us.

For Honor is without a doubt one of the most original and satisfying multiplayer experiences of recent times: deep, multi-faceted, brutal and intelligent in its core mechanics. The feeling, however, is that the development team has not been able to fully express the incredible potential of the formula, held back especially by the choice of opting for the peer-to-peer solution.
