Shades and polygonal models will also feel the weight of the years, but the anime-style graphic compartment and the presence of the original dubbing make it a must for any JRPG admirer.

With some further precautions, the exclusive Nintendo Switch could have aspired to an Eagle, a result that has not yet completely abandoned the field: a lot will depend on the quality of the post-launch DLCs that will reach the green for free over the next few months.

A very unique experience, which mixes delicate graphics to the gritty storytelling of the worst war the world has come to know. When it tries to be anything less than tragic, it might lack some of that energy, but it's still a game anyone should at least give a try.

The second trip in the sick architectures of Rapture is still highly enjoyable, but this time you'll miss the fascination of discovery. PC version suffers from some minor glitches that should be fixed soon.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is a title that thrives on exaggerations, to be tackled slowly with curiosity and a spirit of adventure. If you decide to accept the rules, the fantasy world created by Itsuno will give you a truly satisfying combat system, extremely creative and full of epic moments. The non-linear quests and an extremely dense map are elements that could have led Capcom's title towards heights of absolute excellence, however the ascent was slowed down by artificial intelligence that was not always performing, some small problems with the balance between classes and some too much cumbersomeness. The latest arrival from Capcom still remains a very high level product: the important thing is to know that it is not suitable for every type of user.

Metaphor: ReFantazio has undoubtedly carved out a place for itself among the best proposals from ATLUS, which this time has finally found the courage to break out of its usual patterns and propose something vaguely different, especially in terms of setting and narrative structure. With a brand new job system, the combat system halfway between Persona and Shin Megami Tensei is one of the most successful elements of the package, as it offers a level of customization never seen before in an ATLUS game. Unfortunately, the eight years of development weigh like a millstone on the visual rendering of the product, which however defends itself with a valuable artistic direction and a musical accompaniment of the highest level. It will not be the authentic revolution that many expected, nevertheless Metaphor: ReFantazio remains a must-see for anyone who professes to be a lover of the JRPG genre.

A perfect "portable interpretation" of the Ps3 Game. Level design is still triumphant and overwhelming, while the editor, in this PSP version, is a nice addition.

Starfield is a mammoth and enveloping title, which in some ways represents the absolute pinnacle of Bethesda's production. In fact, in terms of quality and sizing, the playful narrative baggage of the work is a cut above the previous role-playing adventures of the US team, from which, however, the title also inherits some of its less convincing features. Aftermaths that certainly have something to do with the structure of a universe as broad as it is fragmentary, which due to its structural characteristics ends up weakening the call for exploration, which has always been one of the main ingredients of the Bethesda formula. Net of its limitations, however, the stellar epic proves to be an extraordinary crossroads of memorable stories and adventures, pieces of a proposal that is at times all-encompassing, capable of offering dozens - if not hundreds - of hours of entertainment.

Ghostrunner 2, ultimately, is a corrected and enhanced version of the title that had fascinated millions of players three years ago. The gameplay has been enriched with a series of structural and content features aimed at diversifying and improving the experience as a whole. In any case, it is a hardcore product, which will put even the most experienced users to the test, but capable of giving enormous satisfaction to those who decide to invest time in mastering its mechanics. If you are looking for a game capable of giving you a challenge worthy of the name and you appreciate the typical stylistic features of cyberpunk imagery, Ghostrunner 2 could be for you.

Nintendo Championships NES Edition presents itself to the fans as an authentic love letter to the history of the Japanese giant, with an eye on the phenomenon of speedrunning which on the iconic 8-bit home console has its most archaic roots. It is a title capable of challenging even the most experienced players but at the same time incredibly accessible thanks to a control system that is rather simple to master and a user interface that is always clear and legible. It is certainly a product designed for multiplayer use which perhaps loses some of its undeniable charm if played solo but we are sure that it will delight anyone who wants to give it a chance.

Although not without flaws, Afterimage manages to stand out in the panorama of 2D adventures in metroidvania sauce, thanks to its wonderful backdrops, good level design and playful structure. Augoron Shanghai's efforts to make the journey interesting from start to finish are evident, and we believe that fans of intricate stories, labyrinthine maps and important boss fights should not miss the opportunity to step into the shoes of young Renee.

Okamiden is as great as its predecessor, offering the same experience and something more. It has little flaws, but they don't ruin a truly enjoyable game. Maybe, the Nintendo DS swan song, and it could have been difficult to imagine a better one.
