Death Stranding succeeds in touching all the right strings, combining simple gameplay in concept, but exceptionally multifaceted in execution, to a registically impeccable narrative, with the right balance between innovation, quotationism and self-titling. This is a game that’s certainly not for everyone, also due to the lack of a “traditional” multiplayer component, but it's able to leave a timeless mark on the player.

One of the best and visually gorgeous games on Nintendo DS, OkamiDen offers a long quest with a lot of things to see (and do) and a good amount of secrets to discover.

Double Fine manages to create an enthralling and entertaining product, whose unbelievable originality clouds every imperfection related to a gameplay less complex than expected. Brutal Legend holds the real essence of metal, depicting it in its purest form, in the way that each of us has dreamed of at least once in his own life. Whether you love heavy metal or not, this title will offer you an experience you will not forget… and, who knows, you could discover a hidden passion!

Creaks is extremely unique and different from the usual games crafted by the talented Amanita Design team. Still it is again the quintessence of an incredible work of visual and audio art intertwined in order to create a striking and funny puzzle game. An indie must buy like the previous Samorost, Machinarium and Botanicula.

The original Skullgirls was a great fighting game with poor contents. Skullgirls: 2nd Encore is finally a complete game with tons of modes, characters and extras. The original gameplay is still there, fresh and funny as usual, and the cross-buy and cross-play options are simply perfect for this awesome experience.

Although the quality of its base concept is undeniable, Fallout: New Vegas proves to be a basic "more of the same" title that, though proposing an incredible number of quests and different situations, is unable to assure the same kind of revolutionary experience that Fallout 3 offered us two years ago.

Gloomhaven tries to bring the experience of the board game on our screens, but fails to recreate the feel of being around a table. The game, although very loyal to the source, lacks pacing and the missions (very repetitive after a while), even at the lowest levels, are incredibly hard and for the most part frustrating. It is definitely overwhelming for a new player, and way too much relying on RNG for a good result. A good opportunity that sadly doesn’t really deliver.

A great third episode for a series that is able to stand in front to The Walking Dead, thanks to great characters, a magnetic plot and an exquisite art direction.

NetherRealm did an outstanding job, pushing the graphics and the systems really close to the technological border of the eighth console generation in order to produce what is arguably the best installment in the series.

PES 2013 fixes many problems of the previous game, but Konami's football needs a new engine to compete with FIFA 13. An old animation system and a lazy physics are problems that all the good ideas in this edition of the game couldn't overwhelm. PES 2013 is the best old-school football game to date.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a remake to be considered as a reworking of the original games. The work done by the development team is commendable, they not only recreated the stories of the American team with a new look, but they also enriched them in details and in the gameplay. Insomniac's work has stood the test of time, and thanks to the work of Toys For Bob, it is reborn, beautiful as ever, and able to give hours of fun to those who played it two decades ago as well as those who never had the chance.

It's amazing how, after fifteen years, Devil May Cry 3 still manages to entertain and involve modern gamers thanks to a narrative quite lighthearted but rich in the right places, and a dynamic and technical gameplay, a milestone of the series and all the videogame genre of which the title is part. The New Switch edition features are the icing on an already excellent cake, but to remove this remastered from perfection come the sadly known problems of the previous editions.

Control is the magnum opus of Remedy Entertainment and the culmination of a pursuit of the perfect mix between storytelling and gameplay that started 18 years ago with the iconic Max Payne. A worthy contender for the Game of the Year title.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is another great chapter in an extraordinary franchise. More interesting storywise but with a less inspired game design than its predecessors, the adventure of Billie Lurke is a convincing ending for the story arc that began with the murder of Jessamine Kaldwin and the vengeance of Corvo Attano.

Although its gameplay is probably a little too "Power Play-centric" and the intense atmosphere might lose its charm over time, Split/Second proves to be an exceptional racing game, capable of assuring an intense and fun driving experience to both fans of the genre and potential newcomers. An absolute must buy for anyone searching for some real action.

Dragon's Crown is an intense celebration of the good old-school arcade games. Vanillaware did a great job creating such an interesting and fun experience for both PS3 and PSVita. The lack of the Cross Buy and Cross Play options is a problem, because the game is so damn good on both the consoles.

A great way to celebrate the original Halo. The remastered HD graphic is good enough and the simple but effective gameplay of the first Halo game can still offer a lot of fun. The addition of the Skulls system is really appreciated just as the Reach multiplayer. If you've never played Halo, you should try this Anniversary edition.
