Splinter Cell is back with new gameplay mechanics and a great title. If you were waiting for a stealth game with fast paced mechanics and a cool main character, buy this game immediately. Conviction has a great multiplayer experience, and a short but intense campaign. Our uncle Sam is back again, and we love him!

Samurai Showdown Sen is the perfect example of how a great 2d series can be destroyed by a clumsy attempt to fit it into a 3d gameplay. Samurai Showdown Sen has a poor graphic, a cheap gameplay and a general lack of personality. If you're looking for a 3d beat'em up, take this game out from your wishlist.

Is the Stimulus Pack worth 1200 Microsoft Points? It depends. The new maps are nice enough, and offer good gameplay solutions (in particular Storm), but the price is way too much for this DLC. The return of two Modern Warfare classics is nice, but after hours and hours of play with the original game, the idea of having fun with them again is not so nice. If you're a Modern Warfare 2 supporter, probably you'll buy this DLC anyway. Else, be careful: it's not such a big deal.

Just Cause 2 is pure fun. Panau Island is the perfect setting for a game like this, and it offers loads of places were to unleash the hell with big explosions and crazy fights. Metro 2033 is a classic FPS with some new features that distinguish it from its competitors, as the ammunition to be used as a currency and the importance given to the gas mask. Gameplay is generally funny, despite sometimes a little bit too scripted. Thumbs up for the AI of the enemies, quite realistic. Graphics on PC are simply astounding, while on Xbox 360 the final result is not as good as we would have expected.

Considering the initial expectations, Final Fantasy XIII is definitely a disappointment. Although the adventure looks absolutely stunning (especially on PS3), the gameplay lacks in terms of depth in a way that no one could have expected, and if we add to the equation the extreme linearity of most of the adventure, the whole experience is far from perfect. Anyway, we can't blame Square Enix too much: this is where mass market is leading us.

Turn 10 did it again. Forza Motorsport 3 is a nearly perfect title, able to improve what Forza 2 did. The quality of the experience is at the top both for gameplay and contents and there is no other racing game at this level actually on the market. If you're looking for a masterpiece right now to put in your collection, Forza 3 is the answer for your prayers.

I'd love to say that Fairytale Fights is an hack'n slash you shouldn't miss: the style is just adorable and I really like the attitude of these psychopathic fairy tales. Yet this is a game that looks far better than how it plays, and still without considering its evident flaws the full price makes it hard to recommend it even to fans of the genre: sorry but there will be no happy ending, this time.

Someone could call it a “Diablo clone”, but truth is that it's the real Diablo's son we've been waiting for a long time. Respectful of its parents, Torchlight creates a lovely experience through sparkling landscapes, giving new life to the “mouse smashing gameplay”. Its simplicity is worth its weight in gold.

A good union between FPS and RPG, Borderlands is both deep and entertaining, with a perfect multiplayer option. The RPG elements are well implemented in a classic FPS action, and everything works in a very good way. The huge world could be boring after 30 hours, and the character design is not the most balanced in the world, anyway Borderlands will be the game of the year for a huge number of gamers.

Field of Glory is nothing more than an electronic board game. All is pretty tasteless but also very functional. Some flaws in the AI make the game more enjoyable in multiplayer rather than in single player.

EyePet is a product that, despite the undoubted potentialities of the concept and the technology used, is not as entertaining as it could have been, due to the lack of real challenges that, on the long run, make the game tedious and not so stimulating. If only Sony would have dared more, widening the concept of the game, the final score would have been much different.

Panzer General: Allied Assault is a card-based board game set in the WWII, with simple mechanics and deep, enjoyable gameplay. A good choice if you like little, tactical games.

The new episode of Smackdown vs. Raw is rich, entertaining and more polished than ever. The community element is well implemented and represents a nice touch for a game based on that huge live TV show known as wrestling.

FIFA 10 is all the best a football fan could imagine, you simply have to have it. The score is the right prize for a nearly perfect game that deserves the right prize for the work done in the last years that brought the average arcade game of the past, to the nearest thing to real football actually available. You'll stop playing FIFA 10 only when FIFA 11 will be on shelves. Great job EA, great job Moore, great job Rutter. You have to play it!

Although Rockstar Leeds could have probably pushed the quality of this porting a bit further, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars proves to be an excellent game, capable of entertaining throughout the adventure. A real must buy for any PSP owner.

Although we surely can’t deny its fascinating concept, Way of the Samurai 3 proves to be a disappointing next-gen debut for Aquire, which fails to improve the franchise’s previous titles in any significant way. In other words it’s surely a welcome sequel for any fans of the series, but a game that won’t appeal to a broader audience.
