For what it is, a fast hack ’n’ slash, GDL is a great game. If you’re looking for an action RPG, this ain’t it.

This time the settings are richer and the environment is fuller and he's got help.

Technological inferiority aside, Suikoden II has the best game system of any current PSX RPG and is a must for every RPG gamer's library.

Make no mistake about it, this game is a contender and could be some stiff competition for Madden on the new consoles.

For fans of shooter games in general, Battlefront is a chance to apply some military strategy to epic scale intergalactic combat. And for Star Wars fans, the game finally gives them a chance to experience firsthand some of the best battles in the Star Wars saga.

Unless you’re expecting a true snowboarding game, it is hard to be disappointed with SSX.

It is a well-done game and is very addictive but everything is just too flat.

I have never had a more immersive and engaging entertainment experience than I had with the first half of Half-Life...[but] the game peaks too soon.

Such a detailed game it really feels like a PC game first, console second. However, don't panic. It's still played with a gamepad and played well I might add.

There is certainly no danger of Tekken fans, or fight-game fans in general being disappointed by the great, glossy, fast-paced brawler that Tekken 4 is.

While Diablo is easy to get into, it doesn't hold too much charm after you have put many hours into it. The action is not complex and can become very repetitive.

Perhaps the best party game for the PS2 out there.

Nice single-player game progression, though, and a welcome transfusion of RTS gaming's life-blood.

I especially like that the Army Builder screen has something to analyze your army, and tell you where it is strong and where it is lacking.

One of the most beautiful, thought-provoking games I've ever played.

It doesn't have the enormous depth of play that some of the auto racers modeled on "Gran Turismo" have, with hundreds of vehicles and upgrades to collect and keep you playing, but it provides the most exhilarating and intense races anywhere.

The idea that a game can entertain by simply asking its participants to carefully observe and document the virtual world that's been created for them is quite profound. I wouldn't be surprised if Pokemon Snap becomes the first in a brand new genre.

It's funny, dramatic, mysterious, and full of satisfying moments. I find it's a great game to work out some frustrations on. Just picking up a bat and wading into a crowd of moaning, shambling monsters is a wonderful stress reliever.

There really aren't a lot of flaws that I can point out in this game, but I do wish that Blake had the ability to jump.

This is the game for real basketball fans to get.

A pleasant and exciting surprise.
