Lost Planet 2 is better by leaps and bounds from the original. Still, there is room for improvement, especially in a more cohesive storyline.

In an age when design risks are often squashed by budget concerns, Zeno Clash is a runaway success. There is literally nothing else like it.

While Sega surely got the gameplay and control mechanics down, they seemed to have fizzled out at the mission creation.

Fat Princess was a ballsy choice to pack into Sony's handheld, but Fistful of Cake doesn't disappoint in its attempt to emulate big brother.

The Trials of St. Lucia is a robust and very worthwhile DLC release for a great game. If you are into challenge arenas, you couldn't ask more.

In single player, it gets repetitive in a hurry, but with friends, it's a blast. I wouldn't recommend this game for purchase unless you're sure you can line up some co-op.

I have no problem recommending Conviction to anyone who enjoys the Splinter Cell series or third person action/stealth games in general. I would have loved a much longer and more involved campaign, but the additional modes (including a separate co-op campaign) go a long way in making up for that.

The best part about the game? It's fun. While not as deep or as 'epic' as its peers, Dead To Rights: Retribution is a lot of fun from start to finish.

Time will never be kind to graphics, but enduring gameplay is rarely forgotten, and in that regard Nier's going to wind up as one of those "hidden gems" you always wish you would have played. Do yourself a favor and snag it early.

When you make a great thing even better, it's easy to like. The $40 price point helps too, and there's enough new content here -- both online and offline -- to welcome newcomers and reinvigorate seasoned SFIV players.

Sometimes it just takes time to get to know a game, and that’s certainly the case with Monster Hunter Tri. While it's initially overwhelming, if you can take some punishment and you don’t mind a deep game, at some point you’ll find yourself inexplicably hooked—and more than likely, it will be the online multiplayer that does the hooking.

Final Fight: Double Impact does a great job of revitalizing two classics and making them relevant and enjoyable all over again with remastered visuals, audio, and the inclusion of online play.

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love is a great niche release if you're into Japanese games that are heavy on anime, SRPG, and dating. For those gamers, they will find a polished, if not perfect, localized title with a lot of content and reason to comeback.

It's good to see Samurai Showdown back, but Sen isn't what hardcore Samurai Showdown fans were hoping for. While I wouldn't quite call it a bad game, it isn't a very good one either.

Using the simple, lighthearted game approach from WarioWare titles and pairing that with an actual use for the design tools in Mario Paint, Nintendo has brought us a great new tool for creating our own Microgames.

Just Cause 2 is a coloring book for people who never cared to keep their art inside the lines. Pleasure is derived not from carefully staying within the edges, but ripping all the pages out and then replacing them with whatever twisted idea first comes to mind.

Everything its predecessor should have been. It’s gritty, stylish, tasteful, and riveting all at once, and the action is a lot of fun. The incorporation of the motion controls truly does feel integral to the combat experience… they’re not at all a chore, but instead a valuable ingredient of the formula—the way it ought to be.

The Red Star is a fine game, and should be played by fans of the brawler and SHMUP genres. Whether you dig up a PS2 version or get this one on PSP, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

You know, outside of the minor points I made earlier, God of War III just plays like a dream; a really, really awesome dream. It's hard not to be giddy about how amazing this game, this series, has been.

Final Fantasy XIII isn't your typical Final Fantasy, but what is? Final Fantasy's tradition is its divergence, and when its execution is ever so clearly in line with its vision, there isn't much else quite like it.

In all seriousness, MLB 10: The Show takes baseball fans somewhere they were dying to go and does it in such style. Everything about this game screams perfect, but it all depends on what type of baseball fan you are and how much patience you're willing to give.
