    I think that fans of the game are going to get more out of this game than most others, though again I think fans of R-Type are more interested in playing a shmup than an SRPG. That fact aside, R-Type Command is a solid reinvention of the series.

    Once I had more training at Octo-puzzle, I was able to advance to another difficulty level which was much more of a challenge. It also made the game more fun, even though I was just repeating my journey.
