It’s one of the hardest 2D platformers this side of "Viewtiful Joe" and while the game seems slightly short, it takes quite a while to play through it successfully.- Cinescape

Isn't a great game, but it's a lot of fun. Look at it as the popcorn movie of the game world, it's really pretty, but only skin (or polygon?) deep.- Cinescape

The graphics are one of the best parts about the game. The backgrounds are absolutely gorgeous, and the animations have all been re-worked.- Cinescape

Sure, it could have been a bit better, but if you're looking for a fun action game that doesn't require a ton of thought, you'll have a good time with this.- Cinescape

While it’s fairly typical at first, when you realize that you have to drop bombs at ground targets, the gameplay picks up quickly. While there is no true ending to the game, Xevious is a ton of fun and if you’re looking for a GBA shooter.- Cinescape

The game is enjoyable to play through, even if the action can be competitive and the game isn’t as polished as it could’ve been.- Cinescape

The game works in its purpose of being a great kid’s game based on a strong license. It’s basic, it’s not too hard, but it is all done very well and it’s not a bad game in the slightest.- Cinescape

Feels like "Castlevania Lite". It's got all of the story, the visual style, the whip, the weapons, and the enemies. What’s missing is the rich fulfilling satisfaction of the rest of the game – the RPG elements, the total depth that has been established since the PlayStation and Game Boy versions of the game.- Cinescape

Why is this version so much different than the Playstation 2 one? I understand there were different developers, but the games are so much different and the Playstation 2 version is so much better.- Cinescape

Still the same girl you dated in high school, just with a new wardrobe and some nice jewelry. She’s still fun to hang out with, but nowhere you haven’t been already.- Cinescape

But the problem with the game is just that the story doesn't really do much to excite, in fact, it can be kind of dull.- Cinescape

It doesn’t excel, but it’s the best portable football game you’ll find on the market, even with its only average graphics and sound, and generations old gameplay.- Cinescape

Gets old fast. The multiplayer gameplay grows stale and can be boring, and the one-player game only takes so long to master, or become bored with. A golf fan might eat it up, but your typical gamer will probably put it down after a few days of extended play.- Cinescape

While Contra: Shattered Soldier is a short game, fans of the original will eat it up. It’s also a game for anyone looking for a challenge.- Cinescape

The biggest and most important adjustment to the game is on the home run hitting. They are much fewer than in last year’s version and that is a huge plus.- Cinescape

The space missions are an absolute blast, and it seems like the tank missions just screw us out of more flight in the name of diversity.- Cinescape
