SMT: Devil Survivor is an intense game that has branching paths that allow for an endless amount of plot twists and ending possibilities, so replay is not just recommended, it’s a must.

As far as gameplay goes, Bethesda has delivered in just about every way. In fact, I think they've improved what Oblivion had to offer.

It may not be as deep as the PC version but compared to most console games, this one is a bottomless pit.

The sci-fi inspired storyline will keep players interested until the very end, the enemies you fight against are numerous and deadly, the battles are grand and will challenge you even on the default settings, and the weaponry available is friggin’ sweet. Online support for 40 players and Co-op mode are icing on the proverbial cake.

The game puts you right in the middle of the show. There's no one to fall back on. It's all up to you and let me tell you this is one tough mother.

Surprisingly, Digital Extremes has managed to make this game anything but boring. After every match you just want to try to do better.

God of War feels ambitious in the best kind of way: the messy kind. It’s not afraid to get its hands dirty digging at something it thinks is interesting, while knowing it might not find it at that moment. It’s fine with not telling you everything, or with dialing back on the usual tropes of loud music, brutal violence, and hamfisted emotional manipulation.

It is an expertly crafted, addictive experience that, while short, is easily worth the asking price. Especially in such a slow month for video-game releases.

Speed Kings is like "Need For Speed" on bikes meets "Burnout" with a dash of "Road Rash," and seriously, what's not to like about that match made in heaven?

The load times suck but the graphics are actually pretty darn close to the Xbox and Cube, which surpised me. Online play is pretty good, but I found it to be more laggy than XBL. As mentioned though, you've got the controller that makes this game a breeze to play.

If you’re a DC fan and want a gripping continuation of the Injustice storyline, there’s really no good reason not to fire this baby up and crack some skulls. Hey, oddball entries like Swamp Thing and Blue Beetle alone are worth the price of admission.

A surprisingly excellent game that is bound to piss off a lot of people. However, it's refreshing for adult gamers to have access to such interesting and mature (immature?) fare on Nintendo's console.

Perhaps one of the more interesting modes is the Owner mode that exists as a kind of parallel universe with the Franchise mode. It would make a good game by itself although the focus is on business and not on football gameplay.

You won't be disappointed with a purchase of this game unless you live underground or in a perpetually overcast environment like England or Vancouver in the winter.

Many worlds to explore, tons of demons to fight, recruit, and fuse, hundreds of team combinations to try out, an alignment system that allows for varying playthroughs, and lots of weapons, armor, and accessories to create via item drop combinations.

Empires makes the series bigger and better than ever with new scenarios, large scale battles, new policies and plenty of strategy to keep your mind fully engaged.

If you've dreamed of becoming a Jedi Knight endowed with the powers of the Force and equipped with a lightsaber or two, you're going to think you've died and gone to Tatoonie.

And then there are times when you can just blow the hell out of virtually anything just for the hell of it. It's a hell of a game. Hell. Hell. Hell. Hell. Damn I like typing "Hell."

Succeeds because it's able to exploit our primal fears of the unknown. Even when the unknown becomes the known the amazing graphics breath life into these demonic enemies so that their very presence unlocks new facets of fear. It's what makes this game different from a shooting gallery.

Although compared to Advance Wars, Fire Emblem has its own personality that is worth making friends with - just don't loose any.

Those familiar with the NeoGeo console games will marvel at how accurately the essence of the game has been capture in terms of graphics, sound and gameplay.

The multiplayer for Halo 4 is something of an enigma wrapped inside an awesome plasma grenade. To say that I am in love with what 343 has done with it would be a disservice. Suffice it to say that I enjoyed the multiplayer enough to go out on a second, third, and probably fourth date.

It's a fun romp though and definitely a welcome companion to the upcoming movie. There are countless tense moments playing as Jack and my only complaint is not playing as the featured star more than we were given the opportunity.

You will be hard pressed to find a better action game on the GBA. The fact that the game features Astro Boy is actually a bonus. Anyone that likes action and robots, (and who doesn't?) is certain to enjoy Astro Boy: Omega Factor.

This short but delightful chapter offers a great entry point to the series and is worth replaying again once all the upcoming chapters have all been released.

It's almost perfect. Technically it's solid and virtually bug-free but still manages to ooze with personality and imagination. This is definitely going to be a contender for Game of the Year.

Captures the excitement of hockey in such a way that it will appeal to newbies while acting as a refreshing change for fanatics that are hung up on some of the sims out there.

In a nutshell, LEGO Star Wars II is action, adventure, collecting, puzzles, races, mini-game, Co-op mode and your favorite Star Wars characters all having a great time.

Because of its tight game-play, depth and dizzying amount of features, Madden is still the one to beat.

Thanks to the strongest story since the original Disgaea, a battle system that is easy to pick up but has plenty of complexity, and the crazy amount of fun extra activities that can extend playtime, Disgaea 4 is a must-have turn-based strategy RPG.

Midway might have the best game out there if you base the game on fun and action alone. The game still has that feel right out of the movie "Slap Shot" with the mix of the more realistic hockey of the other guys.

The mouse takes the place of the analog stick and really smoothes things out. It's much easier to aim your gun at cameras, light bulbs and human heads, and you can make Sam run faster than ever before. It all comes together to make Splinter Cell one of the best action/stealth games to ever grace PC.

That isn't to say SCII isn't a fine upstanding product; it is in spades. It just happens to be more than a little predictable and without sounding unappreciative, it's more or less like the excellent Dreamcast verison released back in 1999.

TOCA Race Driver 3 may not be the perfect racing game in terms of physics and feel but there's no other game that can match the outrageous number of different racing styles at such a consistent level of quality.

One of the most entertaining games I've played in a long time. It has a ton of injoke humor, action, car chases, explosions, violence, adult situations and language - it's what adult videogames are all about.

It's not just the best Godzilla game ever, it's just a great game, period.

Despite the aging conventions of the genre, Guitar Hero 5 gets nearly everything right. There is a ton of gameplay packed into a decidedly user-friendly/hardcore-friendly package.

The game was designed to put control into the player’s hands and it succeeded. I thought the concept was incredibly epic and it didn’t leave me with that “I wish I could do this” feeling I get from some games. The power to play the game how you want is also a bonus. Also, if you’re looking for a game with a ton of replay value, Watch_Dogs will definitely do it. While I figured Watch_Dogs would have been a more sophisticated version of GTA, it isn’t. It can be frenetic at times and sometimes, that’s all you need to have some fun.

While Human Revolution was a promising title with some glaring issues, Mankind Divided is the work of a mature development team that has had the time to fix their weak points and improve on their strong ones. The result is a quality cyberpunk spy adventure with strong visual and level design, true opportunities for players to exercise choice, and some really cool cybernetic toys to play with.

The dynamic Wii-mote allows you to really become involved with "family business" like never before.

The tone of the story is, after all, quite a departure from the franchise's previous two outings. However, the amusing dialogue, fun gameplay, and delightfully absurd missions make this a must-buy for everyone, whether by download (in which case it requires a copy of GTA IV to run) or on disc with The Lost and Damned.

Nintendo has really stepped up to the plate on this one and hit a homerun. If you like the original Pikmin, you'll pee in your pants with delight when you play Pikmin 2.

The attention to detail is painstaking with perfectly weather wood, rich rustic colors, dense and varied vegetation and of course the odd and highly imaginative creatures that make up Oddworld. The animation is smooth and fast.

Although it borrows from other gaming experiences in certain places, you haven't ever played a game like Ico. Highly recommended!

What you do get is Mario, Luigi and Peach as playable characters and your own Mushroom Kingdom court to play on. This is a fun novelty but it begins and ends there. Novelty. These characters just don't fit in a basketball game and their appearance is somewhat unsettling.

This game is so good it can even give some of the PC games a run for its money.

Portal's blend of first-person, action, and puzzle elements marked by wry psychology and facetious dialogue make for a one-of-a-kind experience. Bolster this package with Still Alive's 14 new, more difficult levels and this is a game that shouldn't be missed.

Rock Band has one thing going for it: the necessity to having friends to play and the willingness to work together. It may not be enough for everyone to drop 170 bucks on the game and equipment, but I can say if you even remotely have thought about this game, it is worth it.

Deception has everything an MK fan could possibly want from the heavens: more gore, more fatalities, more characters, traps, more modes and online play.

Bit.Trip Runner pulls out ahead of the competition to give fans more great gameplay at a ridiculously low price.

An exquisite experience for strategy junkies. PC purists may turn up their noses at it, but I dare them to play through multiplayer with a pair of headsets on and not get giddy.

This isn't a game for young kids. It's rated Mature for a reason. It's filled with adult situations and references. So grow up and grab a copy.

The level of graphic detail is astonishing. The dogs are fully rendered in 3D and display incredibly realistic animation as the puppies frolic and tumble all over the screen. It's hard not to get attached to these mutts for crying out loud.

Bigger, better, more realistic and more difficult than Command & Conquer: Generals, Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour, is the expansion pack that keeps on giving.

It's nice to see that developers taking the time to make this game true to Tom Clancy's vision.

Clearly, Dead Rising 4 is rebooting the series. It’s an entertaining beat’em up, albeit one where I haven’t had a chance to play online ahead of launch. I still think it’s a great way to spend the holidays, but people who appreciated the earlier games may want to watch some gameplay videos or try a demo first.

Ice Station Santa is definitely one of the longer episodes of the batch, and it may easily become a fast favorite. Still, even with the hints turned completely off it will only take you a handful of hours to plow through this gem.

A few bugs and balance issues aside, it genuinely feels like its single-player predecessors rather than a cookie cutter MMO, and that in itself is enough to draw back in the weary crowd yearning for something fresh from the genre.

Run-and-gun fans have been waiting a long time for Weapon of Choice. It fires the genre into the next generation with a decisive, gruesome, well-produced blast, and if there's a flaw here, it's that there should be more of this game to conquer and take sick pleasure from.

Keep in mind the gameplay mechanics are virtually flawless, the controls are tight and the graphics are great, which means you'll be getting big value for your dollar if you decide to give this game a permanent home.

If you are on the fence about repurchasing a game with the "Street Fighter IV" logo, don't be. This is one rerelease that is sure to make you fall in love with the series all over again.

Halo 4’s Castle Map Pack is a fitting end to the map DLC for Halo 4.

Bionic Commando Rearmed is one of the best downloadable titles to date. The production value, quirky humor, outstanding platforming challenge, and low cost make this a game everyone should pick up.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 shines apart from previous iterations due to the incorporation of both the game’s community and real results from the PGA.

Purists may find some of the changes too drastic but remember that people freaked when Bob Dylan added an electric guitar to his combo.

The difficulty is steep enough to challenge even the best players, and the more platforming-oriented layout of these 16 new levels changes things up a bit. You'll clock quite a few hours trying to master these tricky courses, possibly cursing out the BuiBui's ingeniously sneaky, constructive creativity in the process.

It's a marvel. I logged at least 25 hours my first time through and I hadn't even come close to seeing everything this game has to offer. Even with the games flaws front and center at times, all of the innovations and extras add up to a sequel worth crowing about.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is the perfect fit for portable play, allowing you to devour piled-platter entrees or saucer-sized appetizers.

I found the story more fleshed out since certain story elements that are glossed over in the X360 version are given more gravity and importance.

DiRT 2 is a worthy successor to the original, getting practically everything right. While I would have liked to have seen a greater emphasis on more technical rally racing, I had a blast with every aspect of the title. From the solid visuals to the sweet tracks, DiRT 2's got a lot to love.

The creatures are incredible. They look and move like distorted corpses that have been in tragic accidents or have undergone unspeakable experiments. They limp, writhe and undulate their way into our unconscious.

Hustle Kings is a pretty impressive game of pool. There are loads of options, more than I would have ever expected from a $10 game, and the mechanics are pretty much spot-on. The button sensitivity for fine-tuning shots could use some improvement, but otherwise the game is butter.

If you are looking for a new shooter that is like nothing else on the market right now, it’s definitely worth giving Evolve a shot.

Fans who have already played the PS3 games will be pleased with the improvements, and newbies interested in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will have the perfect place to start.

Nintendo's Wii U may be foundering, but the company has been knocking it out of the park on the 3DS lately. Minis on the Move joins other greats like Pushmo to make the 3DS an amazing platform for anybody who enjoys a good puzzle game. Check it out, and prepare to get addicted to sliding tiles and frantically saving minis from a plunge into the dark abyss.

PGR 2 has excellent controls. The only thing that might get a little frustrating is the fact they placed the camera button (The White Button) too close to the hand brake (The A Button).

The gameplay can become a bit a redundant and you won't find much for replay value but Ghosthunter is certainly one of the best rental choices of the year.

Luckily, its captivating characters are far from the only things that SI offers.

An outstanding game - the best the series has ever seen. A great technical foundation has been laid with this year's outing, and true Madden fans will appreciate the package EA has put together.

What really matters here is that, yes, Golden Abyss feels like an Uncharted game. If you own a Vita already, this is the game you should be playing right now. It looks and sounds fantastic, the "ledge painting" is a great new feature, and it gives us another story of our favorite treasure hunter Nathan Drake. Sure, it's not perfect.

Quake 4 is not pretentious. It's a hardcore shooter in which you don't have to be a hardcore gamer to experience.

One of the most epic, detailed, varied and deep RTS games ever created. It's going to challenge all gamers of all skill levels, from hardcore strategist and newbies.

It is a more diverse game, both in terms of the kinds of characters displayed and the sorts of choices people can make. Quantic Dream’s formula is evolving, even if it does rely on some of the same crutches.

Everything from the unique presentation of the campaign mode, to the ridiculously insane amount of vehicles, to the sheer awesomeness of Conquest had me hooked from the minute my console booted up.

While it may be shorter the action is non-stop and certainly no cakewalk. It is a great sequel despite the new bullet time changes. Fans of the first one will enjoy this one.

A strong story that doesn't drag on too long makes for a satisfying RPG experience.

If there's a better game for beginners or intermediate virtual fighter pilots out there that want to have a lot of fun flying the unfriendly skies, I haven't heard about it.

Due to the variety, the solid gameplay, the interesting story and the sheer length of this game, RPG fans shouldn't hesitate to purchase Till the End of Time. It's a great value.

Borderlands is a deep and engaging, RPG-shooter hybrid that needs to be played to be fully appreciated.

If the idea of a Star Wars MMO appeals to you, The Old Republic will be worth the cost of admission.

The Godfather is not a perfect game but it's a hell of a lot of fun. There's nothing particularly frustrating about it so the challenges won't be insurmountable to casual gamers. Hardcores can immerse themselves in the mob world and enjoy the game as an interactive movie.

Playing as the green thing is incredible fun. He's not only easy to control but he's got a good variety of moves... My biggest complaint is that the game isn't long enough.

Aside from my story gripes with Lady and Trish and my couple of issues with the Devil Breaker, Devil May Cry 5 practically exceeded my expectations. As a fan of the series all the way back to day one, and especially a fan of Devil May Cry 4 and my man dude Nero, Devil May Cry 5 is not only an excellent character action game. It’s also a mostly satisfying end to the story. I’m sure there’s more Devil May Cry to be had from here, but the story that started all the way back 2001 finally feels like a complete work, and that’s a rare treat.

If there's a better Mario game for the GBA, you haven't played it yet. Word.

Seldom does a sports game possess arcade-style flair and PC-like depth but NBA Street Vol. 2 is just such a game.

A treat from the past with enough new features that somehow makes you feel like you're playing it for the first time while making it a worthwhile game of golf with plenty of competition.
