The gameplay mechanics alone were refreshing, but I honestly can’t recommend the game if you’re looking for something substantial. Calendula feels like a game that on the outside is full of ideas, but the story lacks the detail to be impactful.

INVANOID is simply a bad game, being very poorly designed and almost unplayable as a result. There are countless other fun indie titles available on the Wii U eShop; pick one of those instead.

Hot Rod Racer does not deserve its place on console as it skids off the track to crash and burn.

After 8 hours, over 650 deaths and having to physically leave my computer, I finally finished. With it’s linear story, that only included a total of 2 puzzles, there isn’t any replay ability. Although there are a few albeit weak points that could redeem itself, I wouldn’t recommend this game.

When companies are selling shallow browser games on consoles then a line has to drawn somewhere. I did mildly enjoy the music, but there is nothing of value here.

The battles get boring after a while, even more so when the game stops you being able to choose any of the cards and you have to restart the game, which happened a lot.

    140
140 is a game that offers little else to keep you playing once you finish the levels. Even mirror mode wont entice you to come back for more. Unless you are a glutton for punishment, or determined to see everything to game has to offer you.

Arcade Archives: Scramble is not a great game. It’s in no way the fault of HAMSTER Corporation, because the port is not the issue. It’s just a very dated game.

Ultimately, Solbrain Knight of Darkness is not a game that is so bad it’s good. Instead it’s just categorically, unconditionally bad, and there is no fun to be eked from this mess of a game. This assault on the senses is a disgrace to the PSN and I’m absolutely bamboozled as to why Sony greenlit this tripe. Even those with a morbid curiosity should avoid this game and not waste their time and money. Simply put, this is a depressing catastrophe of a game.

Overall, Castles fails to deliver on the key mechanic to that makes us all play video games, gameplay. As charming as the game’s visuals are, the gameplay is just not on point and in a puzzle environment.

Longevity is the main issue however with only 14 levels and the lack of variety. The challenge of later levels just become frustrating while the boss levels are particularly disappointing, the first tank boss level was so poor I actually laughed out loud.

They were bad on last-gen consoles, but on the PlayStation 4, their array of faults are all the more unforgivable. You might be getting two games for the price of one, but in this instance, that’s not necessarily a good thing.

TRIZEAL Remix is up your alley if you love old school arcade games. For everyone else I am not too sure. I think it would be an acquired taste for everyone else.

I want Phantasmal to be amazing, the idea behind it is wonderful. However, the game simply fails and does not live up to the promise.

This game clearly wasn’t optimized for the PS4. Nothing about this game should be challenging the PS4’s hardware to this extent so I’m clueless as to why this game performs as badly as it does. Overall I would say this is one to avoid.

At the price of £15.99, I would suggest that you wait for a sale if you really want it that badly in your collection. As it stands, there are far better games out there worthy of your money.

Bomb Jack is not a bad game and this is an excellent port. But it’s certainly not worth what HAMSTER is charging for it. It’s definitely fun a few times but ultimately I wouldn’t pay more than a few dollars for this small amount of gameplay.

A disappointing package. Taken on its own merits, playing the game is a bland exercise in mediocrity. Fun, but fleeting.

Overall, there may be a surprising amount of content to unlock, but the gameplay just isn’t diverse enough to really hold a player’s attention for long. It’s a game that would perhaps be enjoyed more thoroughly by younger players, but for the rest of the gaming community, Catlateral Damage is one that’s probably better off played in short bursts.

Graphically, the game looks extremely bland, and whilst the animations look fairly good, the character models look awful with almost no texture to them or any facial details at all. It just doesn’t feel finished at all, and that’s not just the visuals, the entire game feels rushed with bland graphics, bland combat, and no story.

There are enough issues with the game play that just make much too hard to enjoy. While the progression is good, what you are doing to progress isn’t.

The game is basically just you trying to pull off ‘stylish’ stunts as you swing around, doing whatever the game tells you to do. I put stylish in quotation marks, because what I know stylish to mean and what the game thinks it means are apparently two different things.

There’s 1000 gamerscore up for grabs and it’s certainly worth trying the game for yourself before saying it’s awful. Because who knows, it may just be my poor skill dragging my score down!

With a premise such as the one we have here, Lost Sea could have been a fun hack n slash survival game. Sadly it’s neither, and apart from the nice looks, solid controls and great soundtrack it deserves to be left where its name implies.

Playing Professional Farmer 2017 is the gaming equivalent of being waterboarded. Horrifyingly bad. Better to die. You’ll beg for it to stop, for the final achievement to unlock so you can put it away forever and forget it exists. It is, in a word, abysmal.

The biggest mystery raised for me was how Steam allowed this to be included on their platform at all – this more than anything demonstrates the need to improve their quality control. More surprising is that this excuse for a game is priced at almost £5 when I’d usually expect something so primitive to be under £1, although if I’m being honest I couldn’t recommend it even if it was free.
