Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is a pretty solid product but very rough around the edges at the time. It may be a simple expansion for MSFS 2020, but a great career mode saves the day.- Atomix

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is one of the greatest disappointments of 2024. A technical mess combined with poor gameplay and a very hard to follow story.- Atomix

It's definitely a fun game with its LEGO-like mechanics and level of humor, but with all the big releases coming up, I don't think it's going to stand out too much. I'd recommend checking it out, but maybe after there's a price reduction, since it'll be $60 USD on its first day of release.- Atomix

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is the definitive version of one of the pillars of this industry. With this title, Square Enix has made it clear that they are capable of honoring the extensive legacy they have, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Final Fantasy VI or Chrono Trigger get this treatment in the future. Make no mistake, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is one of the best remakes in history, and something that everyone should play.- Atomix

BioWare knows its business well and for Dragon Age: The Veilguard it made the decision not to risk too much and go for a safe path. As I already told you, the main objective was to deliver a very good representative of the acclaimed saga, which is achieved thanks to a spectacular combat system, a complex cycle of personal relationships, a great story and spectacular graphics. It is a reason to celebrate that one of the most recognized studios in the industry and that has had the hardest time in the last decade, can return to its ways to show a much friendlier face of what RPGs made in the West are. A must-see that should undoubtedly appear on the lists of the best of this very intense 2024.- Atomix

If you have a PlayStation VR2 sitting around collecting dust, now is the time to get it out. Metro Awakening is going to remind you why it's so special and, above all, different to play with one of these headsets and its futuristic controls. Vertigo Games played it safe with tried-and-true elements from any VR FPS, but it knew how to intrigue in a great way what makes the saga it's representing so special and beloved with a completely new title that adds to its intricate lore. Now, I couldn't tell you that this game is a reason to run out and buy Sony's device, but it is one that contributes to the small offer of titles it has, not to mention that we're talking about a new Metro, something that hasn't happened since 2019 with the sensational Metro Exodus.- Atomix

Leikir Studio's work offers us a good combination of the classic elements of Metal Slug and the strategic approach of a tactical RPG. The roguelike system allows for experimentation to be essential, and the progression makes this adventure as long or short as you want it to be. Two contrasting ideas merge in a way that seemed impossible, and the end result is fun. However, the game's performance is terrible. It's a bad joke to have to wait after doing something as simple as moving a unit. While it is true that Metal Slug Tactics is a good game, it is likely that many will not see it that way after witnessing its terrible performance, and will pass up one of the most fun games of the year.- Atomix

For fans of this saga or of shooters in general, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a must-see experience for the end of 2024, while for new gamers who want to venture into this intellectual property, it will be a great welcome letter. to get acquainted with a bombastic campaign and highly crafted multiplayer and zombie modes.- Atomix

It was a pleasure to return to this game after years without touching it, and it became clear to me that there are certain products in the industry that will take a long time to feel outdated, this is one of them. It was a gem in 2017 and continues to be in 2024, a must play for those who just bought a PS5.- Atomix

If you're a fan of the series and especially the newer movie, you'll probably like it, but you'll soon realize that it's unnecessarily long, which is why I recommend playing it in short sections. The attempt to develop a deeper game is not detracted, but it needed to include a little more versatility.- Atomix

What's worse than a bad game? A boring one. One where the player is unable to process a strong feeling, whether positive or negative. Reflector Entertainment's work does not deserve anyone to be upset about what they've played. Bandai Namco's release is one of the biggest failures of the year, and something that will be forgotten by everyone.- Atomix

Sonic X Shadow Generations is a must-experience for platform game lovers. It combines the best of both 3D and 2D, bringing back the 2011 classic in a definitive version, and adding Shadow's own campaign, with gameplay that gives it its own personality.- Atomix

If your party guests are already used to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Party Jamboree is the best option for this holiday season. As a tribute to the franchise it's not bad, but as a game in general, there are more interesting proposals on the market, whether it's a JRPG or a hack and slash. However, those who don't mind repetition can enjoy it. This is where the line is drawn to decide whether or not to buy the product.- Atomix

Neva is a great example of the artistic value of video games. It is a work that reinforces Spain's position in this industry, and it is an adventure that is able to connect on a personal level with each player. This is, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of 2024.- Atomix

There's no doubt that Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of the best games of the year. Atlus and Studio Zero have delivered an experience that no one can afford to miss. With more than 20 years working for this company, Katsura Hashino and his team have shown that they still have a lot to give us, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the start of a new saga that, over time, becomes as important and acclaimed as Persona and Shin Megami Tensei.- Atomix

In the end, if you consider yourself a fan of the franchise and also of the world of fighting games, you should definitely get yourself a copy, whether physical or digital. It's a hit of nostalgia for those who enjoyed the releases of the past, and even more so for users who haven't put them down in all this time. Seriously, it's worth seeing the Z fighters fight once again.- Atomix

Thanks to an impressive respect for the game's original vision while also finding areas for improvement to modernize a masterpiece that's more than 20 years old, we can say that the Silent Hill 2 remake not only meets expectations, but far exceeds them and makes the name Bloober Team take on a new meaning after all the doubts that surrounded it. It's also very important to highlight Konami's work in choosing the right team to play such an important title so loved by the community. Needless to say, we're facing one of the great experiences of 2024 that, regardless of whether or not you played the original at the time, you have to give it a chance. Somehow, the Poles have managed to make both old veterans of the mythical saga and horror genre, as well as those who are completely new, more than satisfied.- Atomix

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a game with a considerably smaller scale than the last two installments in the series and therefore, with much more earthly goals and objectives, however, Grezzo brings to the table a title with a lot of proposal that knew perfectly how to mix the whole new philosophy of the franchise, with its oldest and most beloved traditions by fans. This opens a completely new line of thought that tells us that smaller-sized The Legend of Zelda also have a place in the future. Needless to say, we are facing one of the great video games of this very strong 2024, one that of course, you shouldn't miss for anything.- Atomix

The insufferable camera has been corrected, fast travel has been added, there are more collectibles to obtain, and new movement skills that make it not feel slow. For its part, the graphics have undergone a touch-up that will please both insiders and outsiders, although it was not optimized in the best way on all platforms.- Atomix

Thanks to a spectacular puzzle design, a visual style that mixes two-dimensional art with super-realistic 3D graphics, music that fills your ears at all times, as well as a story that might seem simple at first, but quickly overflows and touches on complex themes of the human condition, The Plucky Squire becomes one of the most special experiences we have been able to enjoy in 2024 and of course, another great example of why independent video game development remains crucial to the well-being of this special form of entertainment. All Possible Futures and Devolver Digital managed to live up to what was initially promised and the great expectations that were generated, delivering a true must-have that will undoubtedly be on many lists of the best of the year.- Atomix

For Persona 3: Reload fans, Episode Aigis is a pretty interesting piece of content that's worth paying for, but for those who couldn't quite connect with the base experience, this DLC won't be for them. This is an expansion that struggles to justify its existence, a task that seems impossible considering Persona 3: Reload's spectacular ending, but it's not a job without merit.- Atomix

Milestone won the hearts of millions of fans through the two Hot Wheels Unleashed installments, which focused more on fun than realism. Monster Jam Showdown falls somewhere in the middle. On one hand, it tries to offer enough content and a number of entertaining mechanics, but ends up presenting us with an experience that doesn't quite match the level of quality of its previous works. The result is a racing title that may be hard to recommend to anyone who isn't a monster truck fan.- Atomix
