EA has set a high standard here; 16-player multiplayer just won't be the same. But if multiplayer is not your thing, the single-player modes provide more than enough value.- Armchair Empire

XBV could have been alternately titled DOA Casino, Playboy's Girls of DOA, or DOA Dress-up. If you're expecting a deep volleyball simulation, forget it.- Armchair Empire

Army of Two: The 40th Day is a fun experience, with some really awesome set pieces -- the zoo level in particular -- and if you have a buddy handy, I'd recommend it.- Armchair Empire

You’ll be looking for opportunities to heave enemies off catwalks or crack them against a wall so Indy can smack them silly.- Armchair Empire

VV has enough going for it - an amiable style, easy control, good puzzles, the platformer conventions, and humor - that it’s time well spent.- Armchair Empire

Ironically, the loading screen is a subway tunnel; you probably could get to the next level by a real subway quicker than the time it takes to load.- Armchair Empire

FlatOut 2 is an above-average racing game, which means casual racing fans will feel satisfied with its features and gameplay. The more demanding hardcore racing fans -- those are the ones that mull "Forza Motorsport" in-depth -- won't be so happy.- Armchair Empire

Just Cause offer’s some interesting gameplay elements and is definitely worth checking out if you’re into sandbox style gameplay. The only real complaint that can be levied against Just Cause is its lack of depth and polish, which makes it better suited for a rental.- Armchair Empire

It’s certainly the best Sims game to wash ashore any console in awhile, and will please fans of the Sims franchise while being a alluring adventure for those Wii owners not already acclimated to the Sims PC gaming juggernaut.- Armchair Empire

Very engaging missions with excellent use of the environment in strategizing the method of securing victory combine with strong online gameplay for a WWII shooter worthy of the honorable mettle of the 82nd Airborne.- Armchair Empire

If you only had to do one thing at a time, it would be easy, but most of the time you’re dealing with three things and planning for the forth.- Armchair Empire

The randomness of some of the board effects can be frustrating; it's akin to Nintendo grabbing the chess board mid-match and throwing it across the room. It doesn't seem fair and there's nothing you can do about it except enjoy the experience while it lasts. And the kids liked it.- Armchair Empire

When the smoke clears, Operation Arrowhead is a decent addition to ARMA II. It adds more avenues for players to experience military operations, and view them with decidedly different perspectives.- Armchair Empire

This the most frightening game I’ve ever played. This is due to two factors: the light-sourcing and the sound.- Armchair Empire

With fun puzzles and a funnier story in yet another of its game series, Telltale Games has shown everybody that the success and quality of its Sam & Max franchise wasn’t just a fluke, and that any developer/publisher that is interested creating episodic gaming has only to look Telltale’s way on how to do it right.- Armchair Empire

A solid story with accompanying satisfyingly gory and glorified GTA-esque Western gunplay along with added multiplayer and mini-game modes overcome a too-short story mode and just-barely-OK controls as Gun Showdown ride off into the sunset as a quality Western-themed adventure for the PSP.- Armchair Empire

This was, overall, a well put together game but the AI is one of the things that could have been much better instead of the simple just standing around and shooting things.- Armchair Empire

There aren’t that many fighting games for the DS so Ultimate Mortal Kombat doesn’t have much competition but it’s still a good fighting game, pardon the cliché, on the go.- Armchair Empire

As a standalone "episode" of Alan Wake, American Nightmare is something PC gamers should be checking out, particularly if the craziness of it appeals to you. For $15 there's really no excuse; and if it ever goes on sale, the trigger on this purchase should be pulled without hesitation.- Armchair Empire

While all this isn't revolutionary Sims gameplay, at least a few new under-and-above-the-sea and on-the-beach gaming elements provide more than the standard expansion Sims pack offering.- Armchair Empire
