This standalone prequel is a nice touch for fans of Second Son, but there’s absolutely nothing within to entice series newcomers to jump in.

While it does an okay job presenting what it is really like to have depression, it sets the player down the exactly same depression path, no matter what is chosen.

If you have never played any the Metro series, are looking to experience the stories again but with a lot of updates and some new content, or just need a post-apocalyptic fix , this might be the perfect opportunity for you. While the updates did not fix some of the little issues I had with the games, the performance and visual boost go a long way to help minimize them.

What’s the most amazing to me, aside from forcing myself to think of any flaws and not finding any other than server issues, is how I rarely play a game more than once, yet there’s something about Diablo III that just beckons to the very core of my soul.

If it’s been awhile since you picked up a Madden game, you might want to give Madden 15 a look. It’s definitely grown beyond what most people think of Madden NFL games.

If you’re bored out of your mind and you need an RPG fast, well, then stay bored. You don’t want to be even more bored. it’s probably best to return to games like Diablo 3 and Divinity: Original Sin, both of which offer ten times the content and ten times the fun.

Watch Dogs does do some new things and does them very well. With few exceptions it’s a polished and fun game and well-worth a look.

The game is definitely not for everyone and it’s not something I can recommend to each and every gamer out there, especially those who love a challenge or action-heavy gameplay. But for the story gamers out there, here is your own personal gaming paradise.

As pretty as the game looks and sounds, it just doesn’t make up for shallow gameplay and a story that really fell flat for me in the end. At least I was able to complete it in six hours, so the tedium didn’t last for that long.

Fans of Wolfenstein of old will appreciate how it has grown and matured, and newcomers will enjoy playing in this horrific alternate history. Not to mention, every day is a great day to shoot Nazis.

The past week of my life has been devoted to the Reaper of Souls and I have to say it wasn’t easy getting out of the game. The damn thing had me hooked so bad I had to explain my mysterious absence to all my friends and family.

Like its predecessor, Dark Souls 2 challenges players and pushes them until they scream in anguish, after having died for God knows how many times. Exciting boss fights, resilient enemies may test your patience more than once, although at the end of the day, so many treasures await in a delightful and mysterious new world.

The leveling and unlocks that accompany them, the variety of well-designed maps and game modes, the paper-rock-scissors balance of man vs. robot combat and overall polish that is present throughout this online only multiplayer shooter make it great fun to play. Period. Buckle up Pilot. Prepare for Titanfall!

Thief is a lazy slug of a game that drags itself across the planes of mediocrity and it could’ve been so much more. Quite simply, it’s brought to us by a developer that should know better.

Enemy Within is how XCOM was meant to be played. It takes all the great things from the original and refurbishes them with all sorts of cool new additions to the gameplay. If you haven’t been introduced to the XCOM universe yet, this would be the right time to start.

Visually, the game is absolutely beautiful. In addition to the fact that it’s not a typical brown shooter, some of the cut-scenes on Vekta will take your breath away and make you realize that next-gen is here, and wow is it pretty. It’s just a shame that the fun I initially felt with Shadow Fall’s campaign faded away as the end missions droned on for far longer than they should have.

An Assassin’s Creed game hasn’t been this good since Assassin’s Creed 2. There are some regrettable elements of repetition that have stuck with the series and are still present, although nothing that would get in the way of some solid action, realistic and incredibly exciting naval battles, in addition to the variety of activities Kenway undertakes in order to satisfy his lust for riches.
