Joe Danger isn't quite Mario on a Motorbike – it doesn't have the depth, variety or genre-shaping progressiveness for that. Instead, it's a warmly nostalgic tribute that manages to land itself in between the inventive, physics-based precision of Trials HD and the frenetic speed runs of Excitebike – which is a pretty impressive trick for anyone to pull off.

You'll definitely enjoy the On Tour mode for a good while, but don't expect to love the entire game like you might have loved the previous titles in the series; it feels more like an odd but amusing experiment for the series that won't be back for the next iteration, which will most likely return to the roots that the series was most successful with.

A strong follow up to American Wasteland and the series has managed to stay fresh, even after all this time, with new additions to satisfy hardcore fans and enough changes to warrant old school skaters coming back, wanting to get the most out of this part-reinvented genre.

Deals with the horror genre brilliantly and will give anyone who wants it a darn good fright.

It's like a work of musical art, with plenty of eventful gaming moments.

Although the lack of online play prevents Avalanche from being a major player, the actual gameplay and experience is so good I'd be tempted to say it's better than both "Amped" and "SSX."

TT isn't so much a racing game as a fantastic driving experience and one that deserves better than the reduced copy and paste options and tracks that have been bolted onto it.

50 Cent: Blood on the Sands is a really good, solid action game. It's silly, exciting and channels the best aspects of some of the 360's favourite hardcore shooters into some brainless arcade fun.

It's fair to say that most people over the age of about eight will find it ridiculously easy and childlike and it features some typically Manga quirks and moral dubiousness (indeed, one of the themes of the original U.S. series was vivisection!) but as a piece of history and heartwarming my-first action title, it's pleasing in almost every facet.

While it's pretty linear and you can get through the game in about six to eight hours, younger players and those who don't go the walkthrough route will find it enjoyable to tackle the game at their leisure.

The fun really does lie in the multiplayer, because the drunken laughs my friends and I have had with this game have been fantastic and they went on and on into the early hours. "Crack another can open, lets have another match, I won't lose this time!" - is something you'll find yourself saying more often than not.

The game's only real downer, the sound, which is drab and uninspiring, is easy to overlook and becomes background anyway. Pool Paradise creates a very enjoyable challenge for a single player, has an excellent and almost limitless lifespan in two-player, and above all it's a snip at just £20.

If you're a Marvel Comics fan then it's an absolute must. But even if you're unaware of the story behind this oh-so-famous band of mutants, it's still worth adding to your collection and again a must for RPG fans on the go.

Be you 6 or 60, IO Interactive have created a game that can be enjoyed by just about anyone, without succumbing to the pitfalls of modern day 'casual game' design, and in doing so have given this gamer hope for the future of family gaming.

The uniquely quirky presentation, brilliantly conceived storyline, excellent cut scenes and tremendously varied gameplay all combine for a totally refreshing and fun game experience.

EA is back on track with this franchise and next year we should see even more improvements. Whether or not you'll be playing this instalment until then is debateable. As much as I have enjoyed my experience with NBA Live 10, it isn't going to hold my attention for much longer, save the local multiplayer.

If you're an adult then the main storyline probably won't last you more than ten hours or so.

A lot of work has gone into this title to make it challenging, rewarding and a lot of fun for the casual player (if a bit tough in places).

If your love for the beautiful game is still as strong as ever or if you've never played a football game before and are looking for a PSP game to quench your budding thirst for footie, then FIFA 07 is as good a place to start as any.

From start to finish, Lego Star Wars delivers; looks, presentation, gameplay, replay value, none of it lacks polish.

Top Spin 3 is a great example of how to make a serious sports game. It has all the facts, figures and strenuous exercise but presents them in a way that's accessible and entertaining for all.

It seamlessly adds another dimension to the gameplay while piling even more ingredients into the blender. The addition of explosions and helicopter stunts give yet more hours of enjoyment too, for anyone who's daredevil enough to pick it up.

While it's undoubtedly one of the best looking and most consistently polished and flawlessly constructed games I've ever come across, with masses to discover and a very nifty class and skills system, its many neat touches and features can't hide the fact that it's a very straightforward old-school RPG, whose repetitive action can get tiresome and whose cutesy graphics will fail to inspire, or even impress, some people.

This new Legend is one you'll enjoy immensely while it lasts and crave once it's over.

People who are looking for a fast sports game can't go wrong with this, but those wanting to upgrade might want to rent it first to see if it's worth their hard earned pennies.

Plenty of depth, great sound and visuals, copious amounts of unnecessary swearing, oodles of violence and an awesome central character in Tony Montana - it's not quite GTA IV but if you can't wait until next October then you should definitely say hello to this little friend!

A perfect example of turning something underrated into a great game. Its also embarrasses "Pokemon Colosseum" and its fuddy-duddy turn based approach, flaunting a more hands on approach.

It's a great title for newcomers to the game, as it does a lot of easing you into the control system and the experience as a whole. However, veterans of the series will probably find themselves getting very frustrated with the create-a-champ and Career modes.
