As a dancing game beginner, the accessible approach to Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix hooked me more than any of the other games in the series.

Although it's more of the same from the Monlith camp, if you enjoyed F.E.A.R. then you'll be rejoicing as you play through this next chapter.

PGR4 is an excellent racing game and though I may have been hard on it because it lacked the polish of previous iterations in the franchise, it is by no means a bad game.

Although the gameplay loses out with its linearity and the walking episodes are weak, it makes up for it with awesome driving sections, a great story, fantastic graphics and the wonderful casting of A-list Hollywood actors.

MX Vs. ATV Unleashed is immense. This game is bigger than Barry Bethel's belly before he went on the Slim Fast Plan. The list of options and challenges seems almost endless.

Despite its shortcomings, Shift is a very good game. Problem is, Shift is a very good game with some truly exceptional competition.

Obviously younger audiences are going to enjoy the game more than older players, but for any self-respecting Incredibles fan, the story and the teamwork gameplay is enough to warrant a look.

It comes as quite a pleasant surprise that Wild ARMs 4 is actually better in regards to its platforming, adventuring and puzzles than it is its combat, but when considered altogether these parts equate to one finely crafted and unique RPG that fans of both the series and the genre as a whole would do well to pick up.

An excellent treat for fans of the books and soon to be fans of the film. The game covers a lot of territory while doing a great job of bringing a decent amount of challenge and thrills to the masses.

These brave and new interpretations of familiar ideas are what sets Pirates of the Burning Sea apart from a great many other MMOs out at the moment.

Although not a huge amount has been changed from NBA 2K6, when a game is this good it's hard to care, especially when almost everything added works so well.

Experienced wartime commanders are fairly hard to find in the gaming world but if you wish to succeed at Empire: Total War then you will need the patience and dedication to become one.

I'll just issue a warning that this game isn't for the faint hearted - don't buy it in haste, or you'll have plenty of time to repent at leisure when it's sat in your PS2, not getting played, because you dare not unpause it.

So, if you fancy six classic games with arcade tweaks included, six pieces of time, six morsels of gaming history, then look no further than Street Fighter Alpha Anthology.

The run-and-gun portions of Dead to Rights come together so perfectly that you become enraptured by your ability to take down hordes of bad guys in classic Jon Woo style. It's these intense, visceral, wicked gunfights that make you forget reality and draw you completely into Slate's fantasy world of fast and furious gun-slinging action. Sadly, the beat 'em up sections of the game mar what otherwise would have been a perfect title.

Beyond a couple of flaws and the fact that you'll probably be comparing it to Battlefield for the first few days, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is its own game with its own ideas that on occasions actually outshines others in its class.

Second Evolution is a far cry from the whole new experience that Square Enix teased its loyal base of gamers with but there's enough new about it that some new issues have cropped up.

A fine real-time strategy game that fans of the genre should gain plenty of enjoyment from, despite adding little that's new to the genre, other than an original alternate history scenario that makes for some distinct and memorable units to command.

There's very little in the way of any problems I could really find with the game, few criticisms beyond possibly the £15 price tag being a little steep, but ultimately Zuma's Revenge! Is everything a good casual game should be, simple yet challenging, basic looking yet somehow still displaying a graphical quality that makes it's 2D looks spectacular, just like all Popcap games then, this sequel may not provide much new over it's predecessor, but it still has that addictive charm that makes it worthwhile investment for anyone with a few hours to kill.

People who are looking for a fast sports game can't go wrong with this, but those wanting to upgrade might want to rent it first to see if it's worth their hard earned pennies.

Virtua Fighter 5 is exceptional. It's just a shame that with a few extra modes (Sega, please get an online mode running for the 360 version!) this could have been a masterpiece of pure gaming gold.

There's enough killing to satiate even the sickest soul and the baddest gangster, and there's hours' worth of high quality music to listen to while you do it.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is distinctively different from the norm - and from what we were expecting - but this is by no means a bad thing. Visually it's stunning, with a cartoon style that's closer to Pixar quality than I've seen in a game before, while Rare's brave move away from traditional, platform-based gameplay is definitely a success and the flexibility and simplicity of the vehicle creator makes it a joy to use.

Bioshock 2 is a fun game. There’s nothing here that’s groundbreaking, and if you’ve played the original you’ll fit back into the sequel like a comfy pair of slippers.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution - it isn't a crappy game with a license tacked on, but rather a great game that makes excellent usage of a license to enhance the overall feel.

The aerial combat missions are a joy to see and almost steal the show, promising greater things to come (taking down AT-ATs in snow speeders I hope!) particularly when you can go head to head against your mates.

Lush environments, fluid player animations and smooth frame rates combine to make one of the prettiest titles of recent years.

Unforgiving difficulty and lack of any real improvements to the series' tried and tested formula aside, Massive Assault Network 2 is an immensely enjoyable experience.
