While at its core it delivers the same experience as the past-gen-versions the initial hiccups like the license management for the previously bought DLC make this conversion feel rushed.

Homesick transports its mysterious story exclusively with the items in the environment and manages to captivate without narrator or pre-rendered cutscenes. A very interesting storytelling journey.

Life is Strange Reunion is fan service - but damn good fan service. If you love Max and Chloe, you won’t want to miss this installment, despite its lackluster main story.

A rather disappointing expansion that doesn’t add or improve anything to the storyline or the redundant hunt for better equipment.

A remake that is mostly true to the original with small changes that improve the feel of the game, but compared to its genre colleagues it is no longer up-to-date.

Whenever the authors finally get the chance to tell their story it evolves further than "Gears of Blade Runner". Nonetheless Binary Domain gets stuck somewhere in the middle between the eastern excellence of bossfights and the western school of modern shooter action.

While on paper the very unique adaptive AI as well as the connected challenges are quite interesting, it results in very shallow gameplay.

Back in the Wii era this was one of the most creative platforming highlights at the time. And a lot of its charm is still there. The concept still feels fresh enough to make a mark in the jump & run revival of late.

Strangers Wrath still is a crazy-good action-adventure with a quirky main character. Some details like the odd controls didn’t age that well, though.

Visually charming puzzle platformer with challenging, but logical brainteasers and underutilized story-elements.

Endzone focuses of classic building, micro management and optimization of your settlement – it lacks dynamics and complexity, though.

The learning curve is steep and if you’re easily frustrated you might consider going back to the predecessor. But if you’re willing to invest time and a lot of trial&error in this mass transit simulator, behind all the glitches and the useless tutorial you’ll find a motivating diamond in the rough that shows a lot of potential and keeps you awake longer than you’d like to admit.

Inventive adventure thriller, that produces a lot of tense moments within the limited scenario. The solution doesn't meet expectations, though.

The mix of brutal anime action and the core mechanics of the Yakuza franchise works surprisingly well, but it lacks consistency and depth, while definitely not looking as crisp as Yakuza 6.

Spiders manages to emerge from the grave of mediocrity in the highly competitive genre of soulslikes of all things. Chapeau!

Charming at first, but you’ll discover all too soon that the stealth-action is too basic, while the steep difficulty level demands trial & error and the visuals are not cool, but sterile.

Supermassives takes the rail-shooter quite literally. But they succeed. While it is visually not as impressive as the game that spawned this light shooter, it still manages to induce panic and delivers its fair share of jumpscares.

The art design is timeless, the conventional controls are spot on and the action is as challenging as ever. But the implementation of vita-exclusive control features rather stalls the fight dynamics.

All the expertise that Square Enix collected with their recent remasters shows: With loads of graphics options you can adjust the performance and quality to your liking while the game itself with ist highly entertaining realtime combat basically remains unchanged - sometimes for the worse.

This is not only one of the longer VR gaming experiences out there. Visually it is a blast and highly immersive. Unfortunately there are little shortcomings in terms of movement and spell control. But nonetheless this is a prime example how old concepts can benefit from virtual reality.

At first glance it is fascinating, but the longer you look you'll realize that augmented reality still is in its infancy. Wonderbook shows what potential lies in the fusion of camera, motion recognition and game. And in its best moments it creates something magical – but rather visually than in terms of gameplay.

At its core Just Dance 2017 is solid party fun as always. But while the movement recognition always was quite tolerant, here it is too inconsistent.
