Mirror's Edge is a videogame that definitely deserves a try, also on Pc. Its short length is the only complain we can mention about the campaign, because it's an incredible innovative title with a very powerful graphical side and an addictive gameplay proposal. A nice launching for this new saga that replaces the word 'brief' with the word 'intensity'.

Konami imitates the Pokémon's style in a not revolutionary game whose best point is the large amount of puzzles ready to be solve. It has no violence, it hasn't a mature story, but it's probably one of the best adventures for the Nintendo DS.

This is a title that could have been unforgettable if it would have achieved more solid values in its irregular sections and specially in its technical side. Despite these flaws Saints Row 2 is still a very funny game with great highlights inside, but its console counterparts are more recommendable than this clumsy PC port.

Innovation in Rise of Argonauts goes in the wrong direction. Although the story is not bad and the epic and mythic world remains interesting, it's gameplay mechanics and technical flaws make the game boring and uninteresting.

Although proclaiming an unlimited world and a great cast of characters, Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World isn't much less the best PlayStation 2 videogame in the series. It's a good try to imitate the Burst Limit's combat style, but it hasn't after all the biggest kamehameha of the Sony's black beast.

Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars for Wii inherits the essence of the classic 3d platformer games and adapts it to the Wii motion control. It has a great ideas for the gameplay and its art style is amazing. It has a great sense of exploration but the camera is poor and the game a little short. Is one of the few good and brave platform titles available on Wii.

PC receives, finally, its own version of a game that will remain, Grand Theft Auto IV. For those who dream about living different lives, with doing what the society bans or considers immoral, and with becoming the darkest guts of the worse human beings, GTA IV is their game. As a great trip to the lowest and the shadiest passions of men, the new game of Rockstar is an epic tale, with a scope never seen before in a videogame.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix brings a superb opportunity to play again one of the best fighting games in the history of the videogames. The soul of the classic is no missing in this remake, and it's a must have of this final quarter of 2008.

Chrono Trigger was one of the best SNES videogames. Its compelling storyline, cared finish and contribution to the RPG genre is unquestionable. Yeah, this Nintendo DS version is more a nostalgic cry than a try to create a real remake, but if you are a loyal time traveler, there isn't a turn back: you must take this game.

The promising The Last Remnant is unfairly flawed by its disastrous technical glitches and its awkward battle system. Whoever will be able to ignore its messy frame rate and its tedious loading times will find an occasional enjoyment in its proposal.

Fast and superb in the day. Slow and mediocre in the night. This time, Sonic is both a hero and a beast in a game full of lights and shadows. The Sonic Team has proved not to have a destination in mind, but maybe in the future the blue hedgehog could find his good old speed.

Ultimate Band for NDS is an original musical game with great variety, but not in songs. It is not good like the Guitar Hero experience, but it has a funny multiplayer mode and the option to let us create our tunes in the music studio.

Tomb Raider Underworld is a fantastic proposal for fans of puzzles and platform gaming. Sadly its camera and control issues let down its many virtues. Nevertheless the new adventure of Lara Croft is brief but intense, and has plenty of good puzzles and great environments.

Metal Slug 7 comes to Nintendo DS with the whole magic of the classical franchise. Totally faithful to the original game, it doesn´t need any innovations, but in these times the experience is a little limited for the home consoles. Unfortunately it doesn't have a multiplayer mode. A perfect game for the followers of the series.

Left 4 Dead is one of the most pleasant surprises of this final quarter of 2008. Without making too much noise it brings a very interesting set, in which the cooperative campaign is its main breakthrough. Short, thrilling and intense.

Need for Speed Undercover is one of the biggest bluffs of this final quarter of 2008. Far from catching the spirit of Most Wanted, the game of Black Box fails in its proposal because of an excessively easy campaign and because of its "shock-car" style driving.
