The characters are cute and appealing and the different themes within the 120 levels are a nice touch. It'll take a while to crack all the levels but every time you figure out another stage, you'll feel a warm sense of glee. It's an ideal game for the more cerebral gamer.

Air Supply is a solid foundation for an endless runner game, but it feels like it needs a lot of tweaking.

Chopper Rescue is in concept and execution a fun little action game that doesn't quite have the legs to carry it very far. By no means is it a poorly designed game – not at all. But it just lacks the certain characteristic to truly impress you or make you want to tell all of your friends about it.

The hidden object side of things works as you would expect and the mini games are all just as enjoyable as on the PC, comprising of Match three, word searches, jigsaws, a version of pairs and puzzle rotation. It's not a hard game by any means but it is one that will take a fair while to complete, and some of the object clues might make you scratch your head for a while.

Hot Springs Story isn't quite as gripping as Game Dev Story. Its subject matter being not quite as clearly enjoyable as the earlier game, plus it's really quite a serious sim, with no sign of the humor of Game Dev Story. However, in turn it's a deeper experience with more to it. This ensures that Hot Springs Story is still a great game to play, just not quite as wondrous as its predecessor.

A great experience for fans of the movies, but there isn't much to go back to after the story ends. If you're a fan of point-and-click style games, and if you even remotely enjoy Back to the Future, then this game is great purchase.

A simple idea but it's compelling fun. Rushing up through the elevator shaft brings with it just the right level of tension without being infuriating.

Fans of the retro gaming aesthetic have plenty of other worthy places to look for their fix on iOS.

Delivers a fun, challenging experience for anyone with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. While the game can be played for free online via a flash version, the added tilt controls and portability of the iOS version makes it worth the buck it costs to own.

It wasn't quite worth $2.99, but for free, every RPG lover should at least give it a shot. Then you can go for a more polished game like Zenonia or Inotia 2.

Paperboy: Special Delivery offers sound gameplay but at a high price

Excluding the weak mini games, Tapper World Tour is pretty good fun. It's not long before it's quite tough, but it is fairly addictive.

Frank Further isn't quite as tasty as a distance launching game can be, but it does take the brutality of hot dog production to new heights.

Casual games always have fairly strange concepts, but Cookie Rush is about as odd as it gets.

Aside from the few nagging issues, Heroes Lore is an incredibly deep RPG experience (over 30 hours of gameplay) that will surely satisfy anyone who appreciates a good, old school RPG.

It's not a long game but there are two endings at least and the variety of different things you can possess extends longevity.

If you're only in it for multiplayer, you might feel a little restricted with only 5 maps and 5 guns to choose from, but the single player campaign more than makes up for this. I was truly impressed by the quality that's gone into it.

Galaxy Express makes for a pleasant change in a genre that's often infatuated by the urge to beat other people's high scores. Instead it's all about the journey rather than the destination.

While it's got some room for improvement, it has a lot of good things going for it, has plenty of value and challenge in its 65 levels for $1.99 and is a concept that I hope gets explored even more in future updates and future games.

NHL 2K11 HD brings a great hockey experience to the iPad. It is a fast-paced game that makes for addicting gameplay.

FastBall 2 dispenses with the parts of platforming games that are usually frivolous filler (the story), focusing instead on the action within.

It's got some lofty ideas but ultimately, Trigonon is a fairly standard yet challenging and satisfying puzzle game.

Gunner Galaxies is a great little title simply put. Simple to get into yet very satisfying to play.

A very simple concept but it does so well. It might not strictly stand out from the pack, lacking GameCenter support and any way of comparing progress with friends, but it is enjoyable.

Planet Work is a basic game but it's oddly compelling, probably because it's that simple.

Is 8-Bit Jump an original title? Not even a little bit. But it's fun and challenging.

Paddle Battle has elements from such classics as Asteroids, Pong, and Breakout/Arkanoid, but it manages to stay fresh with hilarious power-ups and solid gameplay.

It is brilliant and beautiful, but the control issues put a real damper on my enjoyment of the game.
