Traffic Master takes what might sound like a somewhat mundane task – controlling traffic – and turns it into a surprisingly fun and challenging game. This one's worth checking out, and it's only a dollar.

Easily one of the better-designed platformers I've played on iPhone. And considering it's only a dollar, it's hard not to be impressed.

Gameprom is back doing what they have proven themselves proficient at time and time again: making stellar pinball games.

Gluonia is worth a look if you're desperate for a new physics based puzzler but currently it just doesn't stand out from the crowd sufficiently enough to be worth recommending above all others.

It is very old school in its approach and doesn't ease you in gently. With 30 hours of gameplay on offer though, RPG fans would be mad to overlook it however. It's a tremendous piece of gaming history and still holds up well to this day.

If it weren't for the ever-present lag, the simple "puzzles" required to create new worlds might even be mildly entertaining, at least for younger kids. Unfortunately, constant crashes are simply unacceptable.

It's a very well designed game, and it's at a very reasonable price point, I recommend that you give it a shot.

With very rich, vibrant colors and some solid match 3 game play, Piyo Blocks 2 is a great game for anyone looking for a challenge.

Sometimes the design of Circus Pain is confusing, and it lacks some replay value at the moment, but this is a reasonably entertaining, if not brief foray into the physics puzzler genre.

On the surface, Killing Zone Defense is just your run of the mill tower defense game, but that's the beauty of it. It doesn't try too hard to be quirky or unique, it sticks to just what you could want from such a game and achieves it with style.

Admittedly, it might feel a little bare, but Lane Splitter is a very fun, arcade-style iOS title. Definitely worth a buck.

The experience is just so overwhelmingly great, that it is absolutely worth playing, worth seeing and experiencing for yourself.

It turns out that sometimes the simplest of ideas really are the most fun. I was impressed to see just how fast time went once I got into Tasty Planet and found myself working my way through each level. My only complaint is that it might be a little too easy as there's a definite lack of peril here, bar larger things being able to reduce your size.

If you are eager to take on new challenges with your favorite birds, then dropping $0.99 on Angry Birds Rio is a no-brainer. For those who have Angry Birds fatigue and have had their fill, there is nothing dramatically new to pull you in.

Cart Cow might not be your first choice for a physics based puzzler but it does deserve to be in the top 10. It's got some great ideas and level design, once you look past the minor niggles.

MotoTrialz isn't the best game ever, and the controls and features need some work, but it's a solid little game – and you could sure do worse for $0.99.

These are the kinds of titles that can set the platform apart as one of the truly unique experiences in gaming. It is definitely well worth a look, especially when you consider that the base game is actually free.

Overall, Seed Studio is off to a nice start with Pirate's Battle. I would love to see more playable ships and some extra game modes or minigames, but the package as a whole is still a great offering if you love playing same system multiplayer.

A fun addition to the dual stick shooter genre, but it lacks substantial content.

There's no story, and the duels are rather simple; even so, that simplicity makes it an easy way to get a few minutes' entertainment. As a Witcher fan, I would have liked a more significant tie-in with the game world, but even so The Witcher: Versus is, if not a must-have, certainly a fun way to spend some time.

For free, you'd be daft not to get it and the potential is clearly there making for an addictive experience. One that you'll find yourself dipping into often, just in order to up your ranking.

NewtonApples is a simple little game but entertaining. Throwing in a small section about the laws of motion is a great touch and adds to the experience.

It's a game that could get away with being more expensive and still be worth playing so at less than a dollar, Get Outta My Galaxy is near unmissable. You won't be sorry.

It's a game that knows it doesn't need to be anything clever. Just the simple reverse Jenga style gameplay means you'll happily keep at it. Just for the sake of knowing you mastered the game.

Operation Wow offers a great homage to arcade classic Operation Wolf.

It's an OK game with a nice quirky style behind it. However it's a game that feels more worthwhile as a freebie than something you have to pay for. Maybe if high score support follows, it'll have a bit more of a point to it.

Bird Zapper manages to be fun in a way that many similar games aren't, and I think that speaks to the attention to detail present here. Bird Zapper feels slick, and it's truly fun to play-even if it isn't the most original game in the App Store, Bird Zapper excels where it counts.
