The cartoon graphics look cheap and bland but somehow that seems appropriate. Even the game's one piece of music is just a creepier, music box rendition of the main theme from Swan Lake.

The RPG elements, awesome graphics and addicting game play are what stood out the most for me in this game.

A sensorial buffet to feast on with eyes, ears, fingers, and imagination, Ticket to Ride Europe Pocket is the real deal, a complete and integrative experience for fans of the original version and for those of us ever searching for a delicate bite of lazy fun and pleasure.

The biggest flaw lies in Total Recall's mediocrity. It all feels just ok, nothing that really inspires any emotion.

Crate 360 does standout somewhat from other physics-based games. For one, the object isn't all about smashing structures by flinging things at them. For another, it requires some finesse and a lot of planning ahead to solve the more advanced puzzles.

It's pitched just right at the casual market and is a great game to dive into. Who'd have thought something so simple could be so much fun?

The only frustration I have with Castle Man HD is my inability to complete more rounds and rack up further points with ease.

Fans of classic strategy board games should give Outmanuever a try for sure.

The gameplay is not only intuitive and challenging but it's also engaging. The graphics are crisp, the animations are beautifully done and I can't stop humming that catchy tune in the game. Go grab a copy of Bucketz to test your reflexes and see if you can become a master of balance. I can't think of a better way to spend two dollars.

SolaRola is a decent little addition to the company's immense portfolio, even if it's a platformer that's more B-status than AAA – not that that's a bad thing.

While Roads of Rome 2 doesn't bring anything revolutionary to the genre, it's not just another sequel either. The universal build, stunning new graphics and the subtle strategy tweaks make it one of the finest resource management titles in the App Store.

Button Brigade is still a nifty game with some clever ideas and interesting puzzles, but the control issues become a bigger issue as the difficulty ramps up. They don't make it unplayable, but getting through this button pusher will require a fair amount of patience.

Feed the Penguin Premium is challenging and sure to keep players occupied longer than most casual games. I loved the quirkiness, which I felt made it stand out in the overcrowded App Store.

Static Quest is fleeting fun for a few minutes, but is unable to sustain players for much longer than that.

A simple yet compelling game. It's a format we've all seen before in some guise but it does so with enthusiasm.

Jurassic Park Builder may not be a super deep simulation with tons of factors to micromanage, but it is a well-made freemium simulation that's far less restrictive than many of its peers. Plus it's dinosaurs. Dinosaurs, people.

The controls – while still imperfect – are easier to use and being able to outfit characters with awesome-looking gear, then send them off to assist friends or complete strangers, brings a imparts a sense of pride for all that time spent customizing. Overall I'd say it's a tactical win.

Plenty of games have clever designs and plenty more have clever writing. Car Toons! is fortunate enough to have both.

Big Cave Games have managed to deliver the caliber experience in ORC: Vengeance that Gameloft's Dungeon Hunter series has been unsuccessfully attempting to attain for the last three years. Recommending this title doesn't do enough justice. You should steal every iOS device you can find and install it immediately. The owner will have no choice but to thank you for it later.

I get the whole in-app purchase thing, I really do. But I think that the game feels like it just uses baseball as an excuse to make money – the production values are barely improved from the 2011 version released in 2010 – and there's a market for a good baseball game on iOS that isn't just about profitability.

I can't speak to how soccer/football fans will receive this game, because I'm not one, but even non-enthusiasts will have fun. Most of the time. I may not know who Zidane is, but I do know when I'm having fun, and I had a fair bit of it with Journey to Real Madrid.

From the adorable and comical graphics to the addicting and simple game play, Worm vs Birds is a physics puzzler that I highly recommend for everyone ranging from casual gamers and puzzle fanatics to children and families. At the risk of sounding cheesy, it's just a lot of fun to play.

This is also one of those nice freemium games that put a generous amount of their content in front of the paywall. Players won't get all of the 30 levels but they'll get a suitable taste. However, the overall middling gameplay means that chances are it'll be a taste players won't want to try again.

It is difficult to tell what each of the special blocks is designed to do just based on a quick glimpse of what each one is. Suddenly there's some block that's just advancing upward and I have no clue where it is or what it's doing. Some kind of better indicator besides what currently exists would be helpful.

A fascinating exploration of just how desperate people can get, as well as a gripping thriller of a game. It's the kind of interactive fiction experience that many have been craving for years. For thoughtful gaming, this is the place to go, even if you will only play this once before waiting for the next installment.

Overall, London 2012 – Official Mobile Game is just alright. I wasn't that impressed and I really expected a lot more out of it since it is the official mobile game. I'd definitely recommend downloading the free version over the premium, but don't expect to be blow away by the gameplay or the graphics.
