All snark aside, it is the perfect compliment for Trainz Simulator on iPad. If you are looking for a title to scratch A coal-hauling itch, this is the right station to pull into.

Beetle Bounce's core gameplay is inoffensive enough to at least warrant checking out the 18 levels included with the free initial download. It's good but it's not a knockout.

It's pretty tough for those not used to such past mechanics. Timing and speed is everything, much like the Track and Field games of old, but it's not a format that everyone will adore.

Edna & Harvey: The Breakout is very much a traditional point and click adventure. The puzzles are sometimes bizarre and infuriating, but the story keeps you playing on, with much owing to its original tale.

Chimpact makes me hungry. Mostly for bananas, but also for one more round of play, making it easy to recommend to those who enjoy this type of (one more) iOS monkey business.

There's a lot of ambition, but it is hampered by poor execution. littleDragon 3D would benefit from improvements across the spectrum, yet there is still a charm that manages to seep through that stops players from outright despising the game and, in fact, finding a bit of fun in there.

Even with it's failings, Plight of the Zombie is a great path-drawing puzzle game. The various zombie and enemy types, as well as the unique challenges they provide, make it feel unexpectedly fresh despite all the decay.

Carrot Watch might have been a great introduction to Tower Defense games for kids, with its simple one touch controls and cutesy graphics. Instead, it feels like a game that demonstrates how not to do things.

I admit, I tend to get sucked right into these time-management, tower-building games, but if keeping these squirrels happy is the name of the game, I'm more than happy to oblige.

Tiny Owls is a cute game with plenty of fun graphics and gameplay. It might look a bit basic to mature players, but the challenge of safely navigating each level is enough to give advanced players a run for their money.

For gamers who love an addictive, twitchy, hardcore challenge, and don't mind seeing huge swaths of time disappear, who have roommates and family members that don't mind hearing a steady stream of expletives and vain, empty threats, I can't recommend Bitless enough. It's just that good. Others might want to steer clear, however.

Don't let the multiplayer options distract you from enjoying the game. While I wasn't completely satisfied with my options, I still had a lot of fun creating mathematical equations to outsmart my opponents.

As an adventure game book, Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106 succeeds very well and I suspect Judge Dredd fans will adore it all the more.

While it offers plenty of in-app purchases, not once did I feel forced to buy anything extra which felt refreshing. It won't be long till players find themselves a little underwhelmed by Stick Swipe, however, despite its very promising start.

Along with unlocking all the stages to beat the 96 levels packed into this game, the perk of unlocking comics is a nice addition. At less than a dollar for the iPhone version, it's perfect for children and casual gamers alike.

Neither the graphics, gameplay or overall design of this game allows it to compete in the App Store at this price, and even for free it would be disappointing.

The graphical quality is of a high standard, and while the artstyle would be very befitting in a Kairosoft universe, Campaign does carve its own niche. However, there's no real hook to the game, and once the initial layers get peeled bac, players will find there's a lot of hot air, and not much substance.

With some more polish, NinRobo could've been a pleasant little action diversion. As it is now though, its poor visuals, often clumsy controls, and misuse of the freemium model drag down the experience considerably.

While this visual faux pas is disheartening, for those who want a game that follows that old cliche of "easy to play but hard to master" then Static Motion is not a bad choice.

It might take a few attempts before Cats Away truly picks up, but once it does it can be incredibly difficult to put down. Because it's super-fun and flippin' adorable. Although dog lovers might be somewhat immune to its charms.

It's perfectly playable without purchasing anything. Although I did experience significant lag at certain times, the fun and quirky gameplay made up for it. Players will enjoy customizing their vehicles, running over zombies and shooting them to smithereens.

VR Mission EXT does stealth action surprisingly well, gives players plenty of incentive to replay levels for higher scores, and looks great (and familiar) while doing it.

Although the game suffers from loose controls, the actual gameplay is quite refreshing and fun. If the player can get passed the loose controls, there is a wonderful game with great fun to be had.

The shooter portion of Commando Jack is really the most interesting part of the game: the rest of it feels like a fairly traditional genre entry, though the maps have layouts that are interesting to strategize on. This isn't the worst thing in the world, though: just having that interactivity by itself is enough of a wrinkle to make this a definite recommendation for even the most world-weary tower defense fan.

Agent Dash is loads of well-polished arcade fun, but Full Fat missed a chance to bring something original to the well-worn genre. Here's hoping they get more creative in an update soon.

10000000 is at times extremely frustrating, but I still find myself compelled to play it again and again. I mean, that name is just hard to type out because I'm never sure how many zeroes there are in it, but it's still a great puzzle-RPG hybrid.
