Shining Force is an underappreciated classic, and while its age sometimes shows, it is a good port by Sega to iOS, and a great representation of a strategy RPG worth checking out to this day, at a fair price.- 148Apps

Essentially, it's a soccer themed puzzle game. Figuring out the best route to take and lining up shots just right is the focus here. While it's not possible to deviate from the original plan, there are still some important physics to take into account. Unlocking Pro mode reinforces this as it takes line drawing speed into account which can change everything.- 148Apps

Boom Brigade 2 is an interesting mash-up of defense and line-drawing, but it pulls it off with gusto. It's fun, easy to play, and has plenty of incentive to keep doing so thanks to all the bonus stages and un-lockable upgrades.- 148Apps

Solid edutainment. It's far more fun than any social studies class I ever took, that's for sure! This one's a good choice for the young, and the young at heart, so they can learn while they defeat evil aliens.- 148Apps

Mad Cows' concept is not entirely original – it does skew very close to Angry Birds with some slight unit differences, its multiplayer is quite fun. Those who haven't yet had their fill of physics puzzlers might just enjoy this.- 148Apps

Much like the Trials series and Mad Skills Motocross, there will be swearing under your breath but also that urge to come back for more.- 148Apps

Dragon Project's core, Monster Hunter-style action makes it easy to satisfy your loot lust while you're waiting for the bus. It's still a grind, and it definitely doesn't explain its overabundance of systems and modes well, but it lets you fight epic boss fights with others no matter where you are, which is pretty great if you ask me.- 148Apps

As a game to play in short bursts, it's ideal though and satisfying to achieve a lot in a short amount of time. Tomb Slider won't revolutionise but it will entertain and for a long time thanks to the plentiful supply of levels.- 148Apps

Combining two types of gameplay means that Feed 'em up is excellent value for money. They're both fun too, although I found the Appetizer significantly more satisfying, purely for being so challenging. It's well worth a look for puzzle fans.- 148Apps

Despite the repetitive gameplay, I think Mailboxing is a fun little game for all ages. Younger kids are sure to get a kick out of it, just as long as they don't get any crazy ideas about batting down mailboxes in real life. For $0.99 it's a fair deal for what is given and it's a nice addition to the other mayhem-causing games on the market.- 148Apps

Despite the control issues, this is still a fantastic compilation for fans of classic arcade games. The effort that went into making this more than just a bunch of repackaged arcade titles makes it worth checking out for that alone.- 148Apps

Alive4ever mini is on the verge of being a brand new game rather than a sequel. It's perfect for fans of the series who need something to hold them over until the release of the third installment, but it's also great for anyone who is new to the series.- 148Apps

This is about as simple as gaming gets, and about as addictive, but what Nuts! has in style it lacks in fresh challenges and varied scenery. No matter how high Jake climbs, the tree and danger zones don't vary.- 148Apps

4Towers Onslaught is certainly one of the more enjoyable tower defense titles out there and it merits a looks from players looking for a new game in the genre to enjoy.- 148Apps

The Lost City doesn't overstay its welcome, doesn't bore with any complicated story, and doesn't cost too much coin to acquire. It may not be the best game to hit iOS this year but it will easily be one of the most recommendable. Let's hope Fire Maple endeavors further into this genre, they have a knack for it.- 148Apps

Kotomon is definitely unique. Anyone who sees the screenshots and enjoys the art style should pick it up. Almost all will enjoy the gameplay because of how it mashes a few different gameplay styles into one game. For $2.99 as a universal app, this one's worth picking up.- 148Apps

It sounds like a Blizzard game, it kinda looks like a Blizzard game, and it kinda plays like a Blizzard game. It isn't a Blizzard game. But hey, if Blizzard aren't going to release Diablo 3 for iOS (it would make bajillionsquillions) then we'll take the action-RPGs that we can get. Bring on the SoulCraft.- 148Apps

It's amazing how fresh a classic puzzle game can feel with a little change in perspective. Dream of Pixels successfully revitalizes one of the most popular styles of puzzle, turns it on its head, and changes the rules while still keeping everything familiar.- 148Apps

Word Lubbers takes some time to master but it's worth persevering. With a relatively tight time limit before the enemy pirates wipe the player out, it's a frantic race but one that is winnable and quite satisfying in the end.- 148Apps
