If you are up to a brisk, "top down RPG-ish plane shooter" challenge, then 1951 – World War One may be the perfect game for you. It plays well and it is pretty… what more do you want from an iPhone game?

Indecision isn't a complex game, and it's not going to create political converts one way or the other, but it's a fun distraction with a sense of humor. So saddle up, pick a party, and get to campaigning.

It's particularly refreshing that in-app purchases are far from vital to progress. A rarity in such a money focused genre.

OOO Gameprom is at it again with this trick-or-treat of a table. But which is it, really? Come inside to find out more... MWAHHAHAHAH!

It's entirely possible and even understandable for a player new to War of Words Apocalypse to think that they're just playing a slightly darker-looking version of a game they already have, but to simply dismiss it as such would be a huge mistake.

This zombie-themed pseudo CCG is a real looker, and is an interesting take on a rather saturated genre, but it's also pretty slow.

The bulk of Towers & Dungeons' appeal lies in its visual splendor and fantasy setting. It's not really breaking new ground mechanically, but it does give players plenty of little tasks to do and has plenty of charm to spare. Perhaps a bit too much charm, actually.

The controls aren't perfect, but some assists are included to make them a bit easier to handle. Obviously, the Mega Man series being what it is - extremely difficult platforming games that demand player perfection - this isn't the ideal Mega Man experience, but it is a fun way to experience these games on an iOS device.

Overall, the location-based aspect adds quite a bit of fun to the mafia RPG genre and if patience is the player's virtue then they'll accomplish big things in Life is Crime. If not, then they'll find themselves sleeping with the fishes.

A wonderfully macabre puzzler with gory bits and cracking strategic elements.

A satisfying game. There's nothing earth-shatteringly new about it, but it's a solid, light-hearted physics puzzler that should elicit a grin from your destructive side. If dynamite and strategy sound like a good combination to you, IUGO's latest offering should suit your tastes.

For $0.99, Childhood's End offers a fun time for a few hours. It is quite derivative of Pixeljunk Monsters but with no sign of that game coming to iOS, this is a welcome and inexpensive replacement.

The gameplay is straightforward and provides enough challenge to get me frustrated but equally as happy once I completed a level. Puzzle enthusiasts will definitely want to give this one a shot.

It's simple, sure, but that's the idea. It's meant to be played over and over again. Players are supposed to try different strategies each time until they find one that works for them. Most of all, it's the kind of game that can drain an entire afternoon. Then the afternoon after that. And the one after that.

Overall, Tapforss is quite a clever game. The graphics and soundtrack are really top-notch and original, the gameplay is addicting and there’s plenty of fun to be had before players have to decide whether or not to shell out any extra cash. This is one game that I highly recommend for everyone from casual gamers to physics-platformer fanatics. After all, it doesn’t hurt to give it a chance since it is completely free to try.

A really gorgeous game. The hand painted qualities of the characters and other game elements all blend into a beautifully seamless environment. The controls are some of the better tilt controls to be found on an iOS game right now, and the gameplay is superb.

Omegapixel's control issues aside, the free pricetag is an absolute steal for a solid arena survival game with original elements, a humorous storyline, and levels where the goal is to dodge asteroids so they can crash into a planet to eventually destroy it. That's worth a download at least!

10000000 is at times extremely frustrating, but I still find myself compelled to play it again and again. I mean, that name is just hard to type out because I'm never sure how many zeroes there are in it, but it's still a great puzzle-RPG hybrid.

Games are often loud and overwhelming in their attempts to provide an escape, but Far from Noise is essentially the exact opposite. It pares things down and quiets them to a point that you can’t help but feel like you’re also stuck in a car and having the same thoughts as the main character. In a traditional sense, this might not make for a particularly empowering game experience, but that’s fine. We have enough of those already.
