I really wanted to like Vulture Island, especially since it was made by Donut Games, makers of the excellent Traps n' Gemstones. That, and the game wears a lot really great inspirational touchstones on its sleeve. Unfortunately though, I spent the majority of my time with the game dying repeatedly or looking at a walkthrough and rolling my eyes at puzzle solutions, which was not particularly fun or satisfying.

Get Me Outta Here is a solid 2-D shooter with a great sense of style. While I wish it had an option to opt for a controller, it's still a pretty good time without one. I don't think it will blow anyone away, but it's great fun that's easy enough for you to try out for free if you think it might be for you.

If you're only in it for multiplayer, you might feel a little restricted with only 5 maps and 5 guns to choose from, but the single player campaign more than makes up for this. I was truly impressed by the quality that's gone into it.

Velocispider is a bit lacking in content, but not in fun. What started out as a fun game jam idea has turned into a great little retro arcade game for the App Store.

Crazy Escape's cartoon style graphics suit the game perfectly and add humor. It's hard not to laugh as the sheep are dragged mercilessly behind the jeep. This is a great introduction to path drawing games for younger gamers, but packs a fast-paced challenge for even a seasoned finger-pilot.

It is a safe bet that proponents of the first episode will likely enjoy Episode Two, and if Telltale's track record in the adventure game genre is any indication, the whole Back to the Future game series is likely going to reach classic status down the road.

Despite such flaws, Puzzle Restorer is still well worth its $0.99 price tag. With 64 levels, plus a series of secret stages, it’s going to take a while to finish the game but it’ll be good fun getting there.

Agent Dash is loads of well-polished arcade fun, but Full Fat missed a chance to bring something original to the well-worn genre. Here's hoping they get more creative in an update soon.

My super-annoying technical issues aside, DARIUSBURST SP is still a very good-looking and well-made shmup. Whether or not it's worth the $10.99 will depend on the individual and their love of shooting space crustaceans, but it's certainly a solid effort.

It doesn't matter if a painting is beautiful. If it's only half of the picture, it's impossible to predict the quality of the end product. The same also applies here.

Sir Lovalot is far from a complicated game, but that is its charm. It's purely a game that you jump (pun intended) into for 5-10 minutes just to see if you can boost your high score a tad further. It's cheap, it's cheerful, it's worth a play.

The problematic screen and lack of some of the more memorable game modes makes Zookeeper DX a difficult one to gauge. While it maintains all the charm and addictiveness of the DS incarnation, it feels lacking.

A game that involves saving people rather than killing is great to see. However, EMERGENCY feels, ironically, too safe and fails to capture the threat that could have made it an exciting game.

Pocket Climber is a really fun, simple, and entertaining game. It takes a concept that has been done many times before, but executes it very well. The graphics and unique obstacles contribute to the fun game play to make a solid overall game.

Multiplayer and pinball have never gone hand-in-hand, but after playing PinWar it’s hard to wonder why it hasn’t happened sooner. Factoring in an insane amount of missions and stage structures to boot, and this is an experience worth pulling the plunger on. Just try not to be too competitive when crushing the opposition. Sometimes sore losers and fragile electronics don’t exactly mix.
