Pot of Legend sets players up with a single, simple goal, but meeting that goal is smashing fun.

I'm not likely to continue playing Touchgrind BMX on my iPhone because of how much of the screen my fingers cover. But I'll probably continue playing it on my iPad regardless of the awkward switchover.

A lot of people are familiar with MOBAs at this point, but how many of them have played one that's turn-based?

It's a clever, rewarding, and adorable game for the most part, and one that probably shouldn't be overlooked.

Despite a snag here and there, Dark Fear successfully blends horror and RPG mechanics with classic adventure gaming.

Dig Dog is a relatively simple game that follows simple rules, but it manages to mix its gameplay elements together to make for a dynamic and challenging platformer. It definitely isn’t doing anything you haven’t seen before, but everything it does do, it does with incredible finesse.

A solid example of a classic horror game, the second instalment of The Last Door - Chapter 2: Memories continues to tell a hauntingly good story.

While it could use more content like a multiplayer mode and additional elements to make it less repetitive, Scribble Hero isn't a bad game considering its low $0.99 price tag and decent replay value. It's definitely targeted more toward children and casual gamers, but serious gamers may also find this title enjoyable if they can get past a few disappointments.

There is nothing not to like about Little Acorns. Even the soundtrack has a funky groove. For newcomers to platforming this is a great entry point, and veterans of the genre will find the challenge, precision and gameplay on par with the best.

Bloo Kid 2 has arrived to give fans of classic platformers something to reminisce about. But how long will it last?

The co-op is what makes this game stand out; while going solo is fun enough, being able to hop on with a friend to take down some undead is even more exciting.

Embracelet is a touching and enjoyable narrative adventure despite the fact that it has significant control issues.

While it is surrounded by a decent package, the real reason to play MangoHero is for its neat "combination" style of tower defense gameplay. It may not be the future of the genre but it is a tiny welcome breath of fresh air.

Sheep Up! was something of a surprise with its subtle but effective combination of genres. It feels slightly off in a couple of places, but it's still a clever and stylish sheep bouncing good time.

It's perfectly playable without purchasing anything. Although I did experience significant lag at certain times, the fun and quirky gameplay made up for it. Players will enjoy customizing their vehicles, running over zombies and shooting them to smithereens.

I'm finding Fluxx to be somewhat of a tricky recommendation. Not because it's bad, but because it doesn't really capture the manic nature of the original game.

Multiplayer and pinball have never gone hand-in-hand, but after playing PinWar it’s hard to wonder why it hasn’t happened sooner. Factoring in an insane amount of missions and stage structures to boot, and this is an experience worth pulling the plunger on. Just try not to be too competitive when crushing the opposition. Sometimes sore losers and fragile electronics don’t exactly mix.

Death Come True is easily the best conventional FMV game I've played. It shows enough restraint and attention to detail that every scene (even the ones you sit through more than once) enhances the story. While its overall revelations aren't entirely original, it's refreshing to play a game like this that isn't constantly derailing or undermining its own narrative.

Assuming someone isn't looking for a single-player only game, there's plenty of entertainment to be had with Scotland Yard. It's easy to learn and lots of fun. Just know that it truly shines when played with or against other people.

Hanging With Friends is a neat twist on an old classic; Zynga With Friends did a great job at making the classic hangman game work in a competitive sense with asynchronous multiplayer.

Bottom of the 9th is a really cool take on a sports game. It looks and feels almost nothing like most other video game sports, yet it captures the feeling of real sports in ways that a lot of other games don't. This magic is only at its best when playing with others though, and finding people to play Bottom of the 9th with can often feel like more trouble than it's worth.
